Many people had reason to kill the victim, and they tried 'til they got it right. You'd think that would leave plenty of clues, but they don't add up right. Can a 16-yr-old girl put the puzzle pieces together and solve the murder?
This was definitely an interesting story. A few twists made it worth the read, but with that said I have to say this was listed wrong. It should have been listed in the young adult category. It was absolutely geared to a young audience. So taking that into consideration it still had some merit.
Jack Parker is a great author serving up a sizzling tale of lust, greed, envy and betrayal. The characters are fully fleshed out and Gracie herself is a genius. Off to read the next book. Hope you enjoy the book.
This book is clean, no swearing and had some great lessons in making right choices. Quite interesting. Good read. I'll read the next book. And it's included with my Kindle unlimited ehich allows me to read thousands of books for free.
Thought it was long and boring..and.judt.not believable Really a kid smarter than police.and police discussing details with ordinary people.kydt was glad to be done with story
Well written, good character development, enough complexity to maintain interest and make you wonder, but a little improbable with the detective sharing quite so much of the investigation.
Should be listed for young readers. Knew right away who did it. Not at all realistic. Law Enforcement doesn't share details of a murder investigation with the public, let alone a teenage girl. Had to force myself to finish this book. Very disappointed.
I liked how the main character, Gracie, a high school student could logically figure the how, why and motive for the murder of her father. Family dynamics are involved also and not far from reality. Look forward to another book with this young detective.
The book held my interest from the first chapter thru all the twists and turns of the mystery. It was easy to pick out the murderer but you needed to read the whole book to learn the why.
This book features an amateur sixteen year old sleuth. Although the protagonist is a teenager, I highly recommend the book to mystery readers of all ages. You won't be disappointed you read it.
Wow. I thought based on all of the great reviews that this book was going to be awesome, but I was sadly mistaken. first off, I couldn't keep my focus reading this book. It seemed as though the same thing was repeatedly written. Then, the lack of ANY kind of mourning by ANYONE who was related to the victim was just unbelievable in any aspect! Add lesbians, druggie kids and a lot of promiscuity by pretty much everyone involved....I certainly did NOT rate this book any more than a one star....I would have given it zero stars if possible. Loser material. Sorry but it just plain sucks.
It was a good book, it took me a while to get into it. It was difficult to believe some aspects of it, but it was okay. I'm not interested in continuing the series at this time.
Gave this book two stars because I bought it before. The only thing different was the cover. Two books written word for word but had two different covers. Be careful.
