Don't hurry to tomorrow

Rate this book
Best-selling poet and author of Healing For No One But Me and The Sun Will Rise and So Will We, Jennae Cecelia brings you her twelfth poetry book, Don't Hurry To Tomorrow . This book is filled with poems about mindfulness, mental health, self-love, self-care, and self- discovery. Dear Reader, "Do you live in the past or the future more than the present moment? For a long time I did too. I dwelled on the past and worried about the future. I wouldn’t take notice of the little moments. Worry filled my body more than calmness ever did. So, I started meditating on the phrase, don’t hurry to tomorrow . which is where we are now. I hope this book brings you peace and calmness on your journey to live a little more in the present ." Love Jennae

Everything I have read from Jennae is so wonderfully and resoundingly written.
Slow down.
Appreciate what you have.
Realize everything has it’s season.
Progress over perfection.
Do not hide your feelings or who you are to make others feel happy/comfortable.
Don’t wait for tomorrow to start doing things you’ve always dreamed of.
Don’t stop doing what you love due to criticism or “no time”
Take steps to be vulnerable and comfortable in your own skin.

These themes are so vulnerably shared in this collection and I will carry many of these words with me. 👏🏼

i actually really liked a lot of poems in this book! i have quite a few book marked and highlight crazy amounts of her poetry, i just felt that some of her poems were really rushed and misplaced throughout the book which kind of took me away from the beauty of it.

I typically reserve poetry for the month of April, but I’m so glad I picked up Don’t Hurry to Tomorrow by Jennae Cecelia outside of that tradition. This collection truly resonated with me in ways I didn’t expect. Each poem felt like a gentle reminder to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the present moment rather than constantly worrying about what’s to come.

The language in this book is simple yet deeply powerful, and the themes of mindfulness, growth, and healing shine through. What I loved most was how Cecelia’s writing was relatable, making it easy to connect to on a personal level. It’s the kind of poetry that quietly lingers in your mind long after you've finished reading.

If you’re someone who’s ever struggled with the pressure of always looking ahead, or if you’re just in need of a comforting, thought-provoking read, this book is for you. It’s a reminder that sometimes, we don’t need to rush into tomorrow when we can be fully present today.

Another underrated book by one of my favorite authors right now!! 💛 This was exactly what I needed in this time of feeling like I’m not where I “should be” in life, thinking I’m behind from comparing myself to others, not feel enough, etc. And the main topic of the book is what I’ve been trying to do - be present. Live in the moment and enjoy the small but beautiful things in life because it’ll be over so soon and stop wishing for the better future. I really love Billy Joel’s “Vienna” and the message it is and this book reminded me so much of it 😭

This poetry collection's underlying messages are to enjoy life for what it is, stop rushing through life, and be who you are. Overall, this collection has an inspiring air to it. However, I feel some of this author's other work is stronger.

It is hard to be mindful and present and the book is very encouraging and teaches you how to do so. It was very inspirational and has a lot to take away from it!!
