Some hookups burn. Some of them crash and burn.

Spellbound, Book 4

Darby Calder has only one reason to agree to a forty-eight-hour truce with the guy who broke her to keep the peace at her brother’s wedding.

She’s prepared to grit her teeth and play nice with the arrogant, infuriating Bryce Lancaster. Then a moment of weakness reawakens their scorching chemistry…and suddenly she can’t decide if forty-eight hours is too much to ask, or not nearly enough.

Bryce was looking forward to a Caribbean getaway to get his life back on track, but his still-fierce attraction to Darby drags him headlong into the past. Family feud be damned, he can’t stop craving the rival witch’s touch, and soon he’s breaking every no-Darby rule in his book.

When their too-hot-to-handle reunion blows up in their faces, a long, awkward flight home awaits them…until the plane goes down. Stranded with nothing between them but hurt and bitterness, their lives could depend on overcoming their complicated history—and rediscovering a love that’s more than magic.

Contains adult language, occasional violence perpetrated by modern-day pirates, sizzling island heat and steamy beach interludes. Rum drinks not included, but highly recommended.

A born and raised Maritimer, Sydney Somers fell in love with writing when she finished her first story, Jenny and the Glowing Green Mittens. After attempting her first book in high school, she set writing aside to focus on school. While getting her degrees in psychology and education, Sydney tried her hand at journalism between part time jobs before finally returning to her love of writing.

Twenty-five novels and novellas later, Sydney is thrilled to spend her days slaying demons, running with shape-shifter packs and making the people in her head fall wildly in love. When she’s not writing or curled up with a good book, Sydney can be found chasing after her herd of kids, talking her way into a gourmet meal, exterminating rogue dust bunnies or joking about the pending zombie apocalypse. She loves hearing from readers and invites them to contact her anytime.

Darby and Bryce are at their sibling's wedding. This is book 4 of a great series about 2 families of witches and warlocks for some reason they don't get along, but can't keep their hands off each other. From book one until now. Both families keep finding reasons to find themselves in the arms of the other family.
Darby and Bryce's story is a SECOND chance romance at it's best. From the miscommunication from what happened in the past. To finding love in each other's arms again when they thought all was lost. If you believe that Cupid will find away for love to happen then THIS is the book for you.

Thrilling

The twists and turns in this book will amaze and enthral you. The "whodunit" aspects lead you one way then shock you when it's revealed. Don't miss a word!

Nothing comes easy for Darby and Bryce, even after years of dancing around the disastrous romance they abandoned 10 years ago. Now they've been thrown together again in a romantic tropical paradise for the wedding of their siblings, but there's a whole lot more going on at this resort than just I dos at sunset and before they're done, they may have to depend on each other in order to survive - each other and a little of that Calder and Lancaster magic that is.
Must be Magic is the another in the continuing series of mystery romances about the Calder family and their private investigations firm and, as always, Sydney Somers has produced a well written story full of the quirky Calders and their spouses that we have come to love in the earlier books, but don't be alarmed if you haven't read the earlier stories. By the time you're finished, I'm betting you'll want to go back and start at the beginning of the saga to get the back stories on Violet and Reece, Alex, Tate and the others, but this story stands well on its own, even if you've never before spent time with the Calders, the Lancasters and the Tribunal that governs the magical families.
Although some of the book's subject matter is serious stuff (including explosions, dead bodies and an assortment of old family tragedies) Must Be Magic is a relatively light hearted read that will provide its share of chuckles. It also has enough danger and mystery to satisfy the action and suspense crowd and some steamy love scenes that are definitely not for the PG 13 crowd.
If you're looking for a romance that has a bit of everything from steamy romance to a paranormal plot thread, pick this one up. I think you'll enjoy it.

This one was just okay for me. I liked the previous books better - the main characters drove me crazy with all the misunderstanding and miscommunication. Also the heroine running away and refusing to talk to the hero not once but twice made we wanna slap her.

This was the first book in this series that I have read. And after reading I am putting the first three books on my to-be-read list.

Bryce and Darby are electrifying together, even as a couple falling in love or a pair who constantly fight with each other. They were cracking me up with their banter. But their underlying concern and care for each other was very sweet. I was glad to see them overcome their past differences so they could move forward.

I truly enjoyed the other characters in this book. Love stories with strong family units that stick together no matter what. I am intrigued by both Dante and Alex, definitely want a juicy story for them.

The overall story was pretty good, I love the clearing up of old misunderstandings and working through their issues. This book hooked me from the beginning to the end.

I'm in love with the magic of Sydney Somers spellbound series. Must be Magic is the fourth book in the series and it is hotter, sexier and an amazing read.
The characters of Darby and Bryce show so many emotions that you can feel their pain, their frustration, and their love for each other and their families. Darby is spunky and fun. Bryce is uptight, at first, then he finds out what really matters.
It is a wonderful modern fariy tale and you will enjoy the bumpy ride to get to a happily- ever- after.
Although you can read it first, I would recommend reading the series in order. 1. Say Your Mine 2. Don't Let Go 3.Whatever it Takes and 4. Must be Magice
