Sisters of Spirit #7

Spirit of a Champion

When things go wrong, it's Stormy to the rescue. She learns her brother could get killed in his upcoming prizefight against Killer Kyle, so she flies to Las Vegas to try to stop the match. Can she save her brother's life, outwit the killers trying to kill her, and win the heart of a champion, or will things prove too deadly for her? Her cousins, Perri and Hugo, drop everything to help her. A love story with a boxing background (not much boxing).

Not too enamoured with the boxing scene myself. Fortunately, this story, while set in that world doesn't centre on the actual fights, and it was what was going on in the build-up that I enjoyed. The story came to life through the sights, sounds and action of the story.

Nice that Hugo and Perri featured again. I really liked that.

A clean read.

I’m trying to go through and read all the books I have downloaded for free, and this book came up. I’m so glad I grabbed it when I did. Spirit of a Champion kept me awake long into the night. I couldn’t stop reading until I figured out what happened to the hero and heroine. This is the 7th book in the series, but it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I haven’t read any of the others, and had no problem.

Nancy did a really good job character building, especially since at least Stormy was probably pretty well explained in previous novels. I can’t wait to read the first 6 books.

I loved this book! A real page-turner that I read in less than 8 hours! Clean, sweet romance with a little bit of danger mixed in!
