I'm not a big comic book reader; I usually stick to the Wolverine movies. I have read Wolverine's Origin story, so I knew most of the information given in the book. That said, I did find this book entertaining. The drawing is well done. The book is written in Wolverine's perspective as a textbook for new mutants entering into Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. The World According to Wolverine would be a great gift for a younger kid who is just venturing into the world of comics. I could see a kid getting really hyped up about the detachable pictures, letters, etc. of the the book.
The information on Wolverine didn't go too into depth which was a bit frustrating at times. For instance, I had no idea Wolverine had a child. I wanted to know more about that. I realize the book is written as a textbook for mutant kids, but there could have been a chapter on heredity which explained Wolverine's son and the powers he inherited.
This book gives a good basic overview of Wolverine and was enjoyable.
A fun read in the voice of wolverine talking to you as if your a new X man! It had bits of papers to lift up and things in different styles like emails and letters and photographs of characters, all of which I absolutely loved! It's obviously aimed at children but I thought it was fun and went into federal without it being too much detail and ruining any comics that you might not have read yet. To be honest though wolverine is one of my favourites so it wasn't hard to please me with this book
