Had lots of fun and my boys were really engaged while I was reading it to them. Tried to get them to watch the movie but my 4 yr old got bored, more excited about book and 6 yr old loved comparing book to the movie! I loved that it included names of characters and animals Like the Wampa..that tried to eat Luke..never knew that's what it was called or how to spell the planet Hoth either! Great facts and perfect storyline!

This book is a very basic introduction the the movie "The Empire Strikes Back," but is great for parents who have just introduced Star Wars to their kids. The kids will love it because it has Legos and Star Wars. Recommended for ages 4-7, 3 stars.

We decided that these books are great for kids who do not already know the Star Wars :) Alice found the simplistic retelling a bit too sparse and couldn't get the reading words because they are all rather challenging for her current level.

The movie is scary and so is the book. My favorite part is when Luke battles Darth Vader and Han Solo gets frozen in carbonite in Besbin.
