Its a new year and I thought I’d start by reading something off my ever growing TBR list. This one has been on my list for a while, it was one of the first books I added and it just got buried under book after book after book that piqued my interest. Even after so long the blurb still sounded interesting and I’m a sucker for older man/young woman. I one clicked this one last night and read it in one sitting.
I wanted to love it but holy cow! Aside from the horrible (and eternal) run on sentences, one sided POVs have never been my favorite. When it’s the POV of the “H” but told in the past tense? Nope! No. Not for me.
What I didn't like The H was so condescending, arrogant and I know the author was probably going for the alpha possessive type when she created Drake but his one track mind ofridiculous, unbelievable, OTT marathon sex was just a turn off and not titillating at all.
Then there's the fact that the h, Cherry, hardly says more than a handful of words until the last 80% and then only because she's crying and apologizing for getting pregnant. She was too passive, too needy and too doormat-ish for me.
These are just a few of my highlights:
It was literally a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am smutty read that wasn't even very smutty. This is my first read by Jordan Silver and honestly don't see myself coming back for seconds of this or any other book, if this is an example of her writing. Glad I get to take one off my TBR but wish it had been something worth my time. Harsh but true . . . off to the next one.

Sexy rich race driver caught his wife cheating, divorced her and then he meets young and sweet poor heroine. He is obsessed with her and so possessive. Drake is sex on legs, the ultimate alpha male, Cherry is a sweetheart and the sex scenes were HOT! Super cute epilogue. Gotta love Jordan Silver!

She is the girl from the wrong side of the tracks, but all those whispered words about her are false. Drake wants to fight the feelings she is drumming up but her sweet disposition and innocence are enough to have Drake falling again.
Very fun quickie. Drake is a bit gruff but you get why. Cherry Ann is sweet and a perfect match for Drake. Entertaining.

This was an ok read but the writing didn't flow well, and a lot was left out and unfinished. This book is written in Drake's point of view and I completely believed his point of view so much so that I thought a male wrote the book for a little while. Drake was married and his wife cheated on him, now Drake is jaded and doesn't want a relationship but the more time he spends with Cherry (yes thats the heroine's name) the more he finds himself wanting more than sex. So he moves Cherry into his home. But Drake will soon realize that moving Cherry into his home won't make everything perfect and they will have to move forward together while ignoring and moving past the town gossip. This was an ok read, I just felt like it was missing a lot and though it was a short book I still felt like a lot of important events and information was left out.

feels like it's not complete.. i kinda wish she dump a bit more plot into this one like who the heck is this chicks father.. where is her mother is she like dead... cos i think she was abandon like 2 or 3 years ago. i kinda liked the characters so... i feel like this isnt done..also that dog thing was fucked up

Drake and Cherry Ann had me all caught up in their drama. She and Drake connects when he comes to her aid in the diner and makes a connection. He is still reeling from catching his wife in a compromising situation that ended their marriage. Cherry Ann's innocence is refreshing and brings him back to life. Will their relationship lead them along the road to happiness.

The concept of this book though short was really good. It actually made me want more of the story. I hope to continue to read more from this Author. I’m trying to go through all of this authors books to see if they are my go to Author when I’m in a book funk.

It’s similar to the previous book in this series. Drake has been cheated on by his wife, (And it was nauseating what she had done) and he has lost all interest in women. He hates them and will never allow his feelings to ever get involved again.
Drake met the town reject, Cherry at a diner, but didn’t pay her any attention. But soon, he started noticing her paying extra attention to him, but never expecting anything from him.
All he wanted was her body, and thats what he took until his mind and heart aligned.
I didn’t like Drake’s character much, he was not just alpha, but alpha condescending and that is a horrible turn off. I actually liked Cherry’s character.
She is unassuming, and doesn’t push her boundaries. I understood her apprehensions and they are well written
The book kinda ends abruptly for me. I mean there are hints and this book could have easily been made longer and better to be honest, but it seems the author missed that bus.

This was my first Jordan Silver book. And I was totally speechless for the first five minutes since I started reading this. H-O-T!
Drake Kincaid was a sex-on-a-stick, Uber-Alpha male and ultra possessive when it comes to Cherry. He also has a potty mouth. He's always swearing in a sexy way. LOL. The entire book was told in Drake's POV.
There were a few typos, but it was still an okay read. Short but very enjoyable. Lovers of smut would definitely enjoy this. I loved the epilogue. Sweet.
"Instead of the little boy who was supposed to be my spitting image, she gave me a mini her; that shit was not cool. She thought it was funny watching me sweat."

Sweet Redemption is a short, sweet, and erotic read. I was able to finish it in one read and I love that. I despise having to wait for the ending of a novel to find out how the main characters turn out; so I love books that I can finish in one read.
The negative part of the book was the main female character. She had no character! She just does what the male tells her to do. I know she was suppose to be the submissive to his alpha but it was basically he tells her no, she doesn't do it. Her only redeeming point was
If you are annoyed by books that were written by authors that do not use commas, I would recommend to prepare yourself for it.

Cherry and Drake. The usual erotic OTT modern fairytale by this author. Super Alpha Hero who is disillusioned in love from an ex-wife who is beyond gross. The heroine who is sweet, poor, beautiful, much younger and unassuming. Nothing really happens except Drake slowly comes to realize that Cherry means more to him than proof that he is still a desirable man. It's super sweet in a raunchy kind of way. Just the way Jordan Silver fans like it!
