This is the THIRD part of the acclaimed Johnthen Trent Trilogy.
When waitress and would-be actress, Jana Kidd, meets the sexiest man she’s ever laid eyes on, it seems like her life is about to be transformed. It appears that her new man is one of the richest alpha males in New York, and her career in TV acting is about to take off.
However, after an appalling fight at the Billboard Music Awards in Venice, Jana feels she can't live with the the stress and uncertainties of being with Johnthen any longer, and she walks out on him.
Johnthen Trent, however, is a man who is used to getting what he wants. He pursues Jana back to New York and compels her to take notice. There’s no turn-on quite like power and money, but Johnthen has the looks, the body and is an expert lover too. The thing is: can Jana trust the mysterious alpha male? Jana determines to find out more about Johnthen's background and his past.
Why does Johnthen's assistant”, Carmen, have such a hold on him? Where did those mysterious scars on his body come from? Why did Johnthen put an end to his own singing career?
Continue Jana’s steamy, rollercoaster relationship with Johnthen Trent, as she struggles to understand the real man beneath the ultra-cool, attractive exterior, while fighting to get her first break as a TV actress.
Before everyone shouts “Don’t give up your day job!” Ahem... I already did.
I left my job as an insurance clerk in June last year with all the regret of a woman wiping dog dirt from her shoe, and I have branched out into writing fiction.
Miranda is not my real name. I thought some of the more strait-laced mums at he school gate might look askance at the antics of Kara and Jana. And one or two of the dads might want to discuss my work in greater detail… Err, no thanks.
I am a depressingly ordinary English mum, but I’m lucky enough to have a great bunch of girlfriends who are always there for me and who are prepared to read my first drafts and laugh uproariously/roll their eyes/tgive me their handy hints when I’m going wrong. You could say it’s a joint effort in some ways. In terms of moral support that’s certainly true.
But since I am the one who parks her ample ass in the chair and puts in the hours at the keyboard, I am the one who gets to put her name on the covers.
I am lucky with my friends but even luckier with my readers. I am profoundly grateful to any and all who read my work, because that, in the end, is why writers write. Without readers, there would be no point.
I really liked the first two books in this series but I didn't care for this last one. Loved the characters but would have liked it better if there had been more to the story than just Jena & JT getting it on all the time. The scenes were hot but there were a lot of them in this book and it was kinda overkill. The grammatical errors were incredibly annoying.
I enjoyed the first 2 books so much more than the conclusion. I wish there was more to the relationship than just sex. While they changed each other for the better, so there was SOMETHING else there, I just felt like they needed more...they never even exchanged "I love yous" and then got the HEA. I felt like this book just ended. How did the tv show turn out? Would have like more development/conclusion to the secondary characters too. Some sort of epilogue would have been nice.
I liked the characters and the sexual situations were hot, it all wrapped up well at the end. I liked how it was Jenna who managed to fix all the problems she had got herself unto, rather than relying on a man to take care of it.
Oh boy, we REALLY needed to add a new crazy guy to this series. That helped. Characters still have trust issues. Still don't tell each other important things. But hey, it all works out in the end so, yay! (Yes that was sarcasm folks)
I made it through half of the book (I skimmed through most of that) and decided to just read the last chapter....Not impress. There were still a number of errors. The story itself is weak.
Loved this book. Mailer did a great job developing the characters, flaws and all. It was a fun read that also brought heartache. I can't wait to read other books from this author.
The editing in this one was absolutely horrible, the "dramatic plots" we're not believable and somewhat of a stretch, and Jana was an idiot most times.
