My only problem with this book is that it is too short, I went into it knowing that this was a novella but I believe that this story deserved to be spread out more as a full book. I think because it was short the timeline seemed too short for me.

Stella's past was a lot worse than I'd imagined and with that in mind I found that she fell for Brayden too quickly, whilst I appreciate that she felt safe with him, I don't think it felt plausible she'd let go that soon.

Aside from that I didn't want the book to stop where it did either, I felt there was a lot more story that could have been told. Perhaps the frustration is because I was enjoying the book, for a debut book I thought it was well written although there were some obvious spelling errors, although I believe I received an ARC copy so it may not have been the fully edited version. That aside it was a very enjoyable read and I look forward to Sloan's story in the next book.

There is something sexy and hot when a bad boy falls in love HARD and it rocks his world. Especially when he turns into a soft, gooey mess with her and still kicks major butt with everyone else. I really liked this book, although it is short. There were a few times I had to read a part again bc the author is from Australia & so she uses different words than we do in the U.S.

Stella survived a brutal attack, saved by her twin sister Sloan. Now years later, Stella is alive but not living. Trying to save Stella again, Stoan convinces Bray to go to Stella for accounting help and wants to set them up. Sparks fly and Bray is willing to do anything to convince Stella to take a chance and trust him. I love Stella's hidden spunk. She is hesitant and cautious, but it's not overdone. You don't feel like Stella is a victim, waiting for a man to save her. Bray comes across as a bad boy with a big heart and charming smile. I found myself rooting for their relationship to work, for Stella to open up and trust him. Here is one of my favorite parts of the book that won't give away any spoilers. :)

"Your lady" "Yes, my lady. I'll have you know right here, right now Stella, I'm not going anywhere. I know what I want and it's you. I'll go as slow as you want baby, but you're as good as mine".

Saving Stella is a sweet and romantic story. It’s a tale of saving someone’s sense of self and giving them back a life to live.

Stella Morgan is a straight laced accountant. She has a past that torments her with the pain of memories that she can’t overcome. Someone hurt her and she is taking precautions to never again let that happen.

Brayden Brooks owns several tattoo shops and he has a bit of a reputation with the ladies. So when his best artist and friend, Sloan comes to him and asks for his help with her sister and the funk she’s in, he is more than skeptical.

When Stella meets Brayden, she really isn’t sure what to make of him and his large personality. So as they start working together on getting his books straightened out for his businesses, they are both surprised by the chemistry between them, but for reasons of their own.

Can someone learn to trust again after such living through such a scary past? Can someone learn to appreciate the value of a person purely on who they are? Can an accountant and a tattoo artist/shop owner help each other and maybe even build a relationship?

You’ll find out when you read Saving Stella for yourself. ~Desiree

3-1/2 stars. I would go up to 4 but the formatting and lack of editing was atrocious. Despite that and the crude/different language - some terms I easily figured out, but not all, I liked the story and characters enough to continue. If a good editor revises this, it could be a solid 4 star read about a young woman overcoming a tragic attack with the help of a player, who, upon meeting her, no longer wants to play the field. He is all about her, and helps her heal and set the pace of their relationship.

Happy was not a feeling I was used to. Before Stella, I was content with my life but not happy. I went through the motions each and every day. I was successful, I had cars, money and a few good friends. But my heart was empty. I was alone. The way things fell into place with Stella just reaffirmed that we were meant to be. We fit. All these years I’d been waiting for her, and I didn’t even know it. Now that I had her, nothing would take her away from me. She was mine to love and protect, I’ll be damned if I fail her.

“I love you Brayden Brooks. You saved me. You saved my soul. I was lost, but you found me, you brought me back to myself. You’re my forever. I love you.”

This was a wonderful short story about learning to trust again after a terrible experience, my only issue is that it is too short!

Stella is a bright young woman has her own business but for her its all work and no play after experiencing something rather traumatic for her she has shut the world out and only goes to work and home and won’t let anyone close especially guys that is until Brayden comes along thanks to Stella’s sister, Sloan. Brayden is sexy, kind and caring and after he meets Stella he falls!

I really enjoyed this story of finding love and trusting again. I loved getting to know the characters and their stories. I look forward to the next installment about Sloan!

Stella was a frightened wuss. Something bad happened and instead of learning how to deal with it in a healthy manner she turned into a paranoid, gun toting, nervous bunny that basically stayed in her burrow. But of course the moment she met the male lead out she pops, even though he tells her EXACTLY the same thing the bad guy told her. No worry, flash backs, or doubt. Nope she feels him in "her soul". *major eye roll* Bray & Sloan were okay.

Saving Stella is a quick read all the way around, it is only around 80 pages and within those 80 pages, Stella is ready to be saved by a sweet man named Brayden. If I had one complaint about this book it would be the length, way too short. It felt like we could have used more back story on Stella, Sloan and even Brayden. There must be a reason he is a manwhore, but I never really figured it out.

Stella went through a traumatic situation a few years ago and hasn't been the same since. She is afraid and lives her life as such. She pretty much works, goes home and then back to work. Other than her secretary and sister, Stella doesn't have much of a social life.

Brayden is Stella's twin sister Sloan's boss. He is arrogant (almost annoyingly so) and a bit of a player. Like I said, not too sure why he is a hit 'em and forget 'em type of guy, but he is and is quite proud of that fact. Sloan sets Brayden up with her fragile sister Stella because she knows deep down he is a good guy (not too sure about this fix-up either). Sloan wants the Stella from the past back and thinks Brayden is the guy to break through.

Brayden meets Stella and pretty much falls in insta-love with her and claims her as his. Now these two have to figure out how to get past Stella's baggage and forge ahead in their new relationship.

The story is there, however felt extremely rushed and a bit choppy. I am not a fan of the novella due to how quickly the story line has to move. I like when the characters fall in love a bit more naturally.

Saving Stella by Eliza Brown is a short contemporary romance. It focuses on Stella, an accountant who was hurt in the past and is afraid to open up to people. Sloan, Stella's twin sister, convinces her boss to ask Stella out. Brayden is a sexy bad boy who doesn't want a commitment or a relationship....until he meets Stella.
This was a quick read and it was interesting. There were several scenes that made me laugh. The relationship between Stella and Brayden seemed to progress a little quickly, especially since everybody kept saying to take it slow....but it was a novella and the author showed that their relationship was built on friendship and trust, not sex.
I didn't love the way the author put the characters internal thoughts into the story. I think that the internal thoughts were thrown into certain scenes and they didn't really add to the story. I also didn't like the tone of some of Brayden's internal thoughts - it made him seem like a cocky jerk.
If you're a fan of contemporary romance and the bad boy falls for the good girl story line, then you'll enjoy this quick read.

As this is Eliza Brown début novel I see the great potential in her writing, I believe with this particular book Eliza was excited to get it release there for missing out on ways to expand the story and give it that "something special" factor. The story felt rushed like it was a race to the end of the book rather than taking the time to develop the characters and gain an emotional response from the audience. There is one part in the book where she is reliving what happened to her in her horrific past that should evoke a huge response from the audience but because it felt so much you didn't have that emotional bond with the character. This again is a personal preference but maybe this could have been expanded with a flashback for the character so that we sensed every feeling and emotion she experienced rather than it just feeling as though a recount of the event but again this is just a personal preference of mine.

Saving Stella is the first book in the series about the Morgan sisters. She’s also the baby (by 4 minutes), but we get to hear her story first. Stella is an accountant, hiding in a predictable job. Her identical sister, Sloan, is very protective of Stella although the reader isn’t made aware of the reason why until later in the book. This is both bad and good. Bad, because I found it frustrating because I wanted to know and good because it definitely kept me turning those pages as quickly as I could.
Despite all her insecurities, I loved Stella. Yes, she was beautiful but completely unaware of her beauty. When Sloan enlisted Bray to save Stella from a life of loneliness and fear, she didn’t know what the outcome would be and neither did Bray or Stella. You won’t know until you read this book so I suggest you download it now or at least The Morgan Sisters duo so you can then read Sloan’s story, Sloan’s Surrender.
I gave Saving Stella 5 stars.

Aside from the hideous grammar (i, i'l, etc) this book just doesn't make sense. After 6 years of living as a shell of her former self - living like a hermit and general paranoia - Stella literally perks up upon meeting Braydon for the first time. She instantaneously starts feeling comfortable around this guy...

Okay, that's awesome and all - and Bray does manage to take things very slowly with Stella - but how long has he been Sloan's (that's Stella's twin sister) boss? You seriously want me to believe this idea has NEVER crossed Sloan's mind before?

Anyhow the story is told from all three of the characters' POV in first person. Their speech patterns are unusual and irregular, except for maybe Sloan.

3.5-4 stars. A short and sweet story about Stella, who has been traumatized in the past and sworn off from men by fear, is being pursued by her twin sister Sloane's friend and boss, Bray. The overall dynamic of the story was good. Things moved fast given the short length and the chemistry was great, but sometimes more of a leap than was believable given Bray's track record of womanizer to suddenly committed as a one-woman man trying to get Stella out of her shell with all the patience in the world. Regardless, Stella's fear was not unfounded and I loved how much her sister was so protective over her, as well as Bray, too.

The story line was ok, but I just could not get past the spelling errors and "text" speak. Errors usually don't bother me much, but for some reason it made me bonkers while reading this.

I also wish the story slowed down and explained things. Like how long Sloan and Bray knew each other. How Sloan tried to get Stella to come out of her shell and so forth. It seemed like one minute Stella was a shell, the next she is not.

I can't connect with the characters, I'm sure there's more of the story to be revealed but I needed something about one of them by 38% to have wanted to continue. I was hoping to enjoy a good quick read, as this book has been rated quite highly. Won't rate as I haven't finished this book.

Sweet

This is a short and sweet romance. Stella has been living half of a life for the past 6 years. Her twin, desperate to have her "back" asks her boss to take her out. After balking, he agrees, only to find himself thoroughly smitten.
