No one messes with The Skulls and gets away with it!

The last thing Angel Marston ever wanted was be at the mercy of The Skulls. They’re the local bikers and the club that helps keep the town safe, but they have their own kind of rules. They party hard and do whatever the hell they want. But her father’s debts to the club mean Angel has no choice.

Lash loves his club, but he wants a woman who hasn’t slept with all the crew. Angel is just what he’s looking for. She’s sweet, young … and a virgin. He wants her more than anything and has already staked his claim on her.

When Lash touches her, Angel can’t help but melt. He sets fires inside her body with his wandering hands and sinful lips. She can’t say no, and she wants him desperately.

But when all seems to be going so well for Angel and Lash, their pasts catch up to them. The Skulls have enemies who want the town and their women. Lash must decide who to put first, the club or his woman. Is Angel strong enough to stand by his side when the going gets tough? And what will happen when tragedy and pain both hit at once?

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

"Things are going to change for you. You're not always going to like me, and I accept that. I get what I want, and you'll do what I ask, and there's nothing that is going to change who I am. I'll do my best to make you happy, but from this day forward, you'll be my woman, Angel. No one will touch you but me."

For those of us who are addicted to Motorcycle Club romances, bossy bikers, and a good dose of smut, you'll probably understand when I say, I've been going through a little bit of a MC book depression. I recently came off of a high but I'm in the slump that sometimes follows reading a wonderful book. That is really the only excuse I can use for even finishing this book. I was jonesing for a MC fix. Yep, complete addict.

Now I've read Sam Crescent before and and because of that I was aware this book had the potential to contain insta love, a crazy protective male who thinks he owns his woman and other over the top going ons...Totally prepared to embrace all that to get my MC fix and well hell, who doesn't like a little crazy alpha every once in a while. Lash offers all of the above and several things that I am sure will work for some readers, alpha biker, inexperienced virgin, MC drama...

"You can hate me all you want, baby. Your body doesn't lie, and you want me. Hate me all you want, but you're mine. Your body is mine, and I'll be fucking you very soon."

I realize that a lot of books I like follow a certain set formula and ingredient list. Alpha males, damsels in distress, etc. For me, Lash has the right ingredients but the problem is it was poorly written. The writing just wasn't good. I was rolling my eyes and skimming towards the latter part. Not only that, the editing issues/typos were numerous. Like I said, I've read Sam Crescent books before and while the writing has always been average, it's never been bad and I've never noticed such carelessness with editing. It's surprising to see alot of these mistakes coming from an author that has so many books published. How hard is it to spell check a document?

I was very disappointed with Lash and Sam Crescent's decision to release this book as it stands. I won't be reading book two in the series. For any readers that haven't read Reaper's Property I'd suggest reading that book instead. Very similiar story line but a five star read. For those that have read every MC romance book out there and may be in some type of emergency state/needing a quick fix like I was, I'd recommend reading this one with your expectatoins lowered. Maybe then it won't be so disappointing.

"He'd been a member of the skulls since he was a prospect"

Yep, and I've been alive since the day I was born!

"In the weeks and month to come he hoped to teach her how to suck him properly, but for now he loved the way she took him into her mouth."

Normally I don't think that one line would have bothered me...but he was changing her...making her into someone else. So thinking about how she needed to be taught to do it properly, during her first ever bj, pissed me off.

52% Angel screamed and cried during a waxing she didn't WANT, and when he found out, his response was to rush home and admire the wax job.

He made her wear clothes she wasn't comfortable in, and stiletto heals she couldn't walk in, to go to a party.
So that she looked the way he wanted. No consideration for her at all.

""It means that if I want you, you'll take me. If that place is in the car, outside, the toilet, I don't care, you'll submit to me."

OKay...a bathroom stall scene, I'd be okay with. But I don't care how wonderful you are, how much I love you, or how amazing you dick is, there will be NO sex while you are on the toilet....EVER! Mental image, I need brain bleach.

So...why did Lash love Angel? Best I can figure, is because she was a virgin, and had never been with anyone else in the club. That's about all I could see.
I never warmed up to either character.

I'm assuming that the rest of the series must get better, since 12 of them got published. So maybe someday I'll give the series another chance. I'll need quite a bit of time to wash this off first.

Why, oh why? It's always the same heroine. What's wrong with a skinny heroine? It doesn't mean she has to be underweight. Every story = overweight heroine. The heroine is shy because people make fun of her weight. I get it, I do. But why does it has to be for every story? I just don't understand. I even accept the fact that most of her heroines are VIRGINS. I like the sex, I like her alpha males but the female's description always kill me.

This is a book. I read this book.

Definitely didn't live up to the premise/blurb. What started out as edgy with characters who were to be feared yet respected transformed into the tea and crumpets social. Sorry, not a fan.

So I've read the series a few times, but never this first book because it wasn't at my library! I broke down and bought it. Can't say it was worth the money, though. Quick recap...

Lash (biker, arrogant, former whore) saw Angel (virgin, regular citizen, doormat) and decided she was going to be his. Her dad is a pseudo criminal and owed the club money so Lash convinced the MC Prez to claim her as partial payment on the debt. It took this mofo a full freaking year before he made his move on her. Actually, the term "make a move" isn't really accurate. More like, "woman you're mine" end of. She didn't argue, just agreed and went along with the plan. Eventually a rival club comes a knocking and she gets hurt. Not that significant but it still happens. Then they continue with life. Their story still plays out in the other books, that said... it's not accurate.

First let me say that The Skulls and Chaos Bleeds are two of my fave MC series to read. They're not good or well written but they're a guilty pleasure. This book is particularly bad. All SC books have misspellings and some repetition, but this one really knocked that ball park and into the next state!!

The wrong name is used a few times. The same sentence is repeated several times. An abbreviated example:
"Now that I have your attention."
Tiny looked really mad as Jeff spoke again.
"Now that I have your attention."

Really - You just said that!!

Anyway - The story of Tate/Murphy starts here as well as the story of Tiny/Eva. What's really weird is that in the next book about Tate/Murphy, it says that after the gun fight in this book, Angel finds out she's pregnant, loses the baby, and ends up in a psych ward for a while. Um..... NONE of that happens in this book. Literally NONE OF IT. So it appears that SC either just forgot what she wrote in this book or she decided to change shit up and hope we didn't notice. 🤷

Finally, there's a lack of sex and it's not even that hot.

Honestly, I don't think this book improved anything for me. If it's free... I'd say go ahead and read it just for the hell of it. If you have to pay for it, I'd say skip it and you'll be just fine.

Triggers this series is one of the harder ones I’ve read. There is torture and rape in this series (not in this specific book). The further we go into the series, the grittier it gets. My heart breaks several times in this series. Just be warned if you decide to continue.

Is this author trolling me? I'm pretty sure I have been trolled, because I can't take this seriously at all.

Oh, man. Where do I even start on this one? I knew coming into this book that it was not great, and that's actually part of the reason I decided to read it. I kind of have a thing for reading horrible books. As you can see, I've put it on the shelf marked "funny", and that is because I laughed through the whole thing.

Okay... Is Sam Crescent's native language English? At this point, I really want to say no, because the shear amount of grammatical atrocities present in this text are outrageous. To point out a few:

“Bacterial spray” Is she planning on spraying bacteria around everywhere?

"Other than get back some money the rest of the club wanted him dead" (p. 35) I don't even have something snarky to say for this, it stands on its own merits.

"She was stood in the door leading to her escape." (p. 49)

"Yeah it means that Angel's father has just become the most wanted guy to become dead." (p. 61)

"Angel watched as Jeff went angry. The Skulls were laughing at him, all because of David's sloppiness and greed. If felt like it was in slow motion, but Jeff moved to them." (p. 147) He went angry? Oh no, is he coming back? Where's angry?

Also, "he knelt up." Is this a thing? How does one kneel up, can someone explain this to me?

Oh! My favorite line. After explaining the outfit Angel was wearing the narrator then continues on to say she, and I quote, “Only wore a bra and six inch heels”. Only, tends to mean that all she was wearing was the bra and six-inch heels, but the three sentences proceeding this statement talk about her skirt, and shirt and his leather jacket. Ugh.

These are just a few of the many, many errors that are littered throughout this work. I find myself wondering if this was edited at all, and then I poke around and find out that Sam Crescent actually has a publisher. This book costs money! And not only that but she has who knows how many more books published. Oh, my damn. I just can't even process this.

So, I have so much to say about this, that I'm getting all mixed up. I don't even know where to go from my lovely list of amazing quotes that I've highlighted from the book. I keep looking over my notes and I can't decide if I want to talk about word choice or characterization next...

Characters! Ohhhh-kay! Angel and Lash. Angel and Nigel... Angel is so flat that, I can't even. The story starts off with her working in the clubhouse because her father owes the bikers money. Okay, cool what ever, I can hang with that. Being used as collateral isn't great, but I mean it could be worse, I guess. Her dad is telling her to sell her body to the bikers to pay off some of his debts... It's not so cool now, but Angel's thought is to wish for his death. I am not sure that either one of those things is a typical reaction, but willing suspension of disbelief, we continue onward! It is after Angel's beginning and backstory that we're introduced to Lash, who apparently once saw Angel in town and hyper-focused on her and decided that they were going to be soul mates and then proceeds to claim her and mark her as his own, without bothering to ask for consent. One of my notes is legit, "How long does it take for Stockholm to set it?" because that's what I see happening here.

There are a lot of rapey undertones, but it's okay because Lash calms our fears by saying, "I'm not a molester or a rapist" and then demanding that Angel agree with his statement. He forces her to wax her vag, and he tells her he will be choosing her clothes from now on. I get the appeal of the big, macho, male dominant biker, but good lawd, there's a line somewhere and Crescent has crossed it. I don't think I need to go further on them, because I just can't. My brain doesn't want to.

Soooo, ONTO WORD CHOICE!

The word 'cream' is used waaaay tooo much and things like 'slurp' and 'swampy' should not be used to refer to genitalia during sexy times. It just shouldn't. Also, I can't take the word "humping" seriously. Come on now, who's your audience? Honestly the thing that irked me more than anything was the term "sweet-butt" and I don't even know why.

There's a lot telling rather than showing in the narrative and often times I feel like the author was trying to take my hand and lead me step by step through the story. Roughly 75% of this story is made up of simple sentences. "They did this." "She did that" and if the structure varies at all the author doesn't know how to handle it and completely botches the execution, making basic grammar and mechanics mistakes.

Finally, repetition. Do you know what causes a narrative to stagnate and become tedious? Repetition. You know what can help prevent a narrative from becoming tedious? Variety. And editing is your friend. When you edit and revise you tend to find all those annoying little habit words that you don't realize that you use, and this author has definitely never even considered rereading her own work, let alone revising or editing it.

I read the book in about four hours, so that's a thing. There was no content to get stuck on, and if you can get past the super flat characters, poor grammar, complete lack of editing and find the humor in the horrible smut then I suggest you pick it up and give it a go. If terrible smut is not your cuppa tea, I'd suggest you steer clear.

P.S. It's 5 am, I did not proof-read this before posting it apologies for any and all mistakes.

description

The good: Fast, sexy read.

The bad: The build up of the characters' relationship didn't add up.

My thoughts:

While I did enjoy this book, I have to point out that I did not get the supposed chemistry between Angel and Lash. I get that there's this whole opposites attract kind of aura but what I do not understand is how they fell in love and how fast it was!

I mean, Angel didn't know much about Lash other than he was ridiculously handsome and the "muscle" of The Skulls MC.

As for Lash, I kind of thought of him as a semi-stalker. How could he not be? He watched and observed Angel for a year before mustering up courage to even talk to her! And then one night he finally grows some balls and decides to claim her?! Heh?

You know, I get the whole physical attraction between the characters: both are appealing and where I can see Angel digging the whole bad boy thing, I can also see Lash falling for the whole innocent, girl next door persona. But, in the end, what I didn't follow is how they fell so hard for each other in such a short span of time.

Lash, I can see how his feelings might have started but as for Angel I'm a bit flabbergasted. One second she was trying to push Lash away but the next she's all hot all over him. Kind of gave me whiplash ALTHOUGH it didn't help that Lash would also manipulate her through stimulating sexual caresses. CHEATER!! ;)

GAH, this book is pretty unrealistic BUT I'd be lying to say that I didn't enjoy it over all! Buahahahaha!! Now, who's giving you whiplash?!? LOL.

SO, MY VERDICT:

Despite my criticisms, I still would recommend this book to those of you looking for a good MC read.

I liked the story, I liked the characters, but I just did not get the "falling in love" aspect is all.

I'm now hoping that the author will make the next installment Tate and Murphy's book as that couple has a lot of sh*t they need to work out.

Perhaps then for book three it can be Tiny and Eva??

Oh, and book four be on Blaine and his baby mama? I know that this is probably NEVER going to happen but I can still have some wishful thinking. I grew to LOVE Blaine even if he was only in the story for like 5-10 minutes. IDK what it is about him that I grew attached to but I liked him and would definitely read a story upon him!!

Anyways, I'll stop my useless babbling now! Lol! Enjoy the book ladies and gents! I'm out!!

So this is another author jumping on the bandwagon of steamy biker club reads that are all the rage at the moment. And because of this we need to weed out the ones that lack the oompf, the wow and the awe factor that comes with reading MC books.

Unfortunately for me this book does lack all the above, don't get me wrong it's ok but that's as far I can go with praise for this book. It's easy to fall into but not a lot actually goes on and there is things that Angel does that has me questioning her character and how she went from a 19 year old virgin to nympho pretty much overnight. It did have some redeeming qualities sporadically but overall this is readable but simply if you go into this with high expectations and you will be disappointed.

If your expecting it to read like Kristen Ashley, Madeline Sheehan, Crystal Spears and even Jamie Begley (when she sorts her typos out) then you will be disappointed, Lash is not of that calibre. It's an entry level read that is a bit blah and a bit been there done that kinda read, the conversations are nothing new, he barks she obeys. He swears a lot, she doesn't - so there is nothing that makes this book any different and stand out it simply does not. A mediocre read that like I say don't go in expecting exciting MC revelations and you won't be disappointed.

I thought I was going to love and rave about this book as it has all my favourite themes : badass biker alpha male, older guy younger woman, virgin heroine... alas this book did not grab me and hold on. Although it did intrigue me that I finished it but something was missing. The story was way too short, it could of had so much potential. There was no "meat" to the story, no angst, no big fight, no action or anything that would give it a wow factor.

This book is not in the same category as Madeline Sheehan or Kristen Ashley. This is an okay read that will entertain you, nothing more.

If Angel was given a little more substance then maybe this book will have a 4* rating from me. I never understand how authors can get us to like any type of hero but the heroine just lacks so much substance. Angel was a 19 year old with nothing special about her to make her memorable, all I know is that she was fat and turned into a nympho overnight.

If she made Lash work for her love and had something other than her body to offer than maybe this book would of been so much better. Sex was hot though !!!!

The h was TSTL. She is an innocent and sheltered virgin who is taken by a biker gang in order to get her father to pay his debt. The H has always had his eye on her and one day decides to lay claim to her. He takes her to her room and immediately starts touching her and saying she will won't return to her old life. The h doesn't question this or fight him. She is completely ok with a complete stranger touching her intimately. I stopped reading pretty quickly. The way men treat women in this book is disgusting. There are women that are ok to use for sex and treat like garbage while the ones that are married or girlfriends are treated like human beings.

Compared to the Trojans, The Skulls looks more rough on the edge.

The series is off to a good start. There are already a lot of characters introduced in the series.

I like Lash. I think he is a real charmer. However, Angel's innocence and naivete got pretty annoying real quick. But i do like the two of them together.

Oh Lash, "sh, don't be scared, baby. I'm never gonna hurt you." He's a biker in all sense of the word, "I suggest you get used to my touch, baby. I'm not going anywhere, and you're going to get used to my touch." At least before he starts anything for Angel he lays down the law I guess that's a good trait of course you won't ever see a man bossing my a** around, "things are going to change for you. You're not always going to like me, and I accept that. I get what I want, and you'll do what I ask, and there's nothing that is going to change who I am. I'll do my best to make you happy, but from this day forward, you'll be my woman, Angel. No one will touch you but me." He takes some things very seriously, "I'm getting off, baby. I need release, and I'm not finding any other woman to give me what I want. It's only you." You know he's possessive but also protective, "you're mine, Angel. My woman to eff, take care of, and cherish." What about love, why doesn't that factor into the equation? While reading I kind of got more interested in Tate and Murphy's relationship than Angel and Lash's.

I wanted a gritty biker romance and I got one. I'm just going to say up front that this won't be for everyone. The hero's alpha jerk qualities aren't loaded down with respect for most of the story. He might love, but it is only on his terms. I was uneasy when he sought to keep her by getting her pregnant and he bull-dozed her at first though mostly so she wasn't grabbed up as a club whore since she was being kept there while her useless dad worked on his debts. The heroine is on the sweet, innocent side. I enjoyed her gentle Steel Magnolia thing, but I worried that she went along with too much. She never resists even when she is uneasy. But in her quiet way she did eventually tame his heart and he was careful about her wellbeing.

Now that being said, this plot, these characters, the intensity of action and passion, and setting all made for an erotic, exciting biker club romance. I definitely plan going forward.

2 1/2 star rating for this book. I usually love Sam Crescent but this one just wasn't her best and I found myself just wanting to be done with the book so I could start another one. There was a lot left out of this book so I felt like I was just being told something instead of believing it. Lash loved Angel because, he did tons to keep her safe because, he waited for her since because, and on and on. I know that this isn't a long book but Sam Crescents other books that are shorter were easier to believe.

Another thing that bothered me was Angel she did what she was told no matter what, yes I know that Mrs. Crescents heroines are not tough take no prisoners I'll tell you how I feel woman but Angel was a robot who did what she was told and if she thought it was only how to please Lash. She was "untouched" in every way not even a kiss so the first day he talks to her he makes her orgasm, and then a few days later she is still a virgin and still blushed at anything sexual and she gives him oral sex in public at the club um no. None of this fit and none of it felt real.

Lash is the muscle of the MC and he has had his eye on Angel and now wants to claim her. Angel is at the MC because of her fathers debt and she only has to do whatever she is told. When Lash sets his sight on Angel there's no turning back Lash has made it known to all his brothers that Angel is his and he plans to make her his in every way. But the rival MC has plan of there own to not only take over but to take Angel and the woman as well, now Lash and the MC will stop at nothing to protect what is there's.

I usually love Sam Crescents books but I just ended up left feeling like to much was missing and like this was out of character for almost everything Angel did. I understand wanting to make an edgier book and that a typical MC is edgy but in the end this book just didn't come together for me.

Ok so clearly I have been on a MC kick lately. That being said, I like this one, but didn't love it. It felt like a really tame and sort of cheap imitation of Reaper's Property by Joanna Wylde. Let me start by saying I hate comparing books like this. But in this case it was so similar it was almost impossible not to.

It basically starts out with a girl indebted to a club because of a gambling family member. But of course one of the MC members is totally crazy for her and decides that he will protect her by moving her in with him. He buys all her clothes, lets the members know she is off limits and the only real difference between the two books is, this Heroine is a virgin. It even comes down to a showdown with the gambling family member being murdered after betraying the MC further. Seriously it is almost a replica.

There are some really hot sex scenes and it is a very sweet love story. Too bad I read it before...not sure if I will give Skulls 2 a chance....

I give this 3 lipsticks.

I don't know, but maybe biker romances just aren't my thing. I mean, I love possessive, alpha males but I like it when they put their women first, above all else. Lash was just way too much, way too over the top for me to get down with.
~"He either tamed her or got rid of her. They were a club with a code, but the club would always come first, even to him."
~"Hate me all you want, but you’re mine. Your body is mine, and I’ll be fucking you very soon.”

I'm definitely not a fan of weak, completely submissive and compliant females. Angel falls into that category, allowing Lash to make ALL decisions for her, and that's just not something I can comprehend.
~"...from now on I say what you wear.” (Umm, no!)
~"Was she weak for accepting whatever Lash would give her?" (Umm, yes!)

Tate, on the other hand was much more ballsy and I want to read about her and Murphy in bk 2. Otherwise, I did enjoy this fast-paced, very steamy book.

3.5 stars. Okay Lash and Angel, well, I was not actually happy how the book started but hey I can't judge the beginning chapters. When I continue to read, I just said, Huh, okay, now I get it. Love the names of the MC's and there real names. Nigel and Edward, cute. The story needed a little more "Umph", I mean it was good, but I wanted better. Angel was very naive but wanted happiness and family; Lash wanted Angel, period, no buts about it. Nash needs a story. Even though they were MC's there was alot of emotion and counseling, on how each other feel; that made me go, OKAY, where are the real Alpha's coming. Don't get me wrong, I love that they are entwine with there emotions, but come on, all the time. Still good book. Again, one of my favorite authors. Cheers. Now, I can't wait for Tate's book, that one look it is going to be very good.

ummm no. such a mess

I'm calling this one a DNF at 40% . Even if able to overlook the multiple and horrendous grammatical errors I can't get past the characters or plot. We have a virgin working in a biker bar and one if the bikers of course is crazy about her. The character depth was non existent. Insta-love to an extreme. It was just bad. Can't even make myself finish this one. And it is WAY over priced at it it's current price of over $4. I wouldn't finish this hot mess if paid.

erm.......

not really sure what my thoughts were on this one.

There wasnt much of a story. It felt a bit like the author had read lots of biker books and watched lots of sons of anarchy and decided to put together a book.

So like I said its very erm.....

I liked this book but I will admit that Angel irritated me at times. Her whining about pain was slightly annoying. I liked how after a bit she accepted Lash’s love. I liked Lash’s obsession with Angel. I liked how alpha he was. One of my favourite scenes in the book was the massage scene. I liked watching the chemistry grow between Lash and Angel. I will admit that I would’ve liked a bit more of a spark between them but they made a cute couple overall. I adored Angel’s quick bond with Blaine. What she did for him was super cute!
I liked Tate and cannot wait to read her story! I also cannot wait to read Tiny’s story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read

ITS OKAY

I love MC books, I also like this authors books so I jumped at the chance to read this. I have to say it wasn't quite up to this authors usual standard IMO. Too much of this story was just so unbelievable. But even if I get past having to suspend belief, I just wasn't feeling the connection between the two leads.

Angel's father owes the Skulls a lot of money, so until he pays up she's been taken as a hostage. Angel has to do menial tasks at the club house, she's a plus size girl and has to put up with a lot of snide remarks about her size from the club whores. But Lash is determined to claim Angel. That was one of the things that bothered me about this, Angel is a nineteen year old innocent, and Lash just tells her she's his and expects her to go along with it. There's no force involved but it still felt off. Some of the other happenings in this just felt far fetched as well. There is another book out in this series but I'm not sure whether I will continue reading any more of the Skulls as so many other authors do this genre so much better. All in all this was only okay for me.

4 Blazing Stars

It would have been 5 stars if it was just a little longer. I'm a little creep out by Lash stalkerish/psycho towards Angel but hell, I like it lol.

Angel 19 years old virgin who has never been kissed before. Angel who has been living with the Skulls for the past year due to her father's debt since he couldn't pay back.

Lash has been in love with Angel since the day he saw her but wait for her to be ready. He was rude, uncivilized and just all together stalkerish. The way he talks to Angel a bit rude/mean. Lash is the muscle of the MC and he has sets his sight on Angel. Lash has made it known to all his brothers that Angel is his and he plans to make her his in every way.

Rival MC plan to not only take over the club but to take Angel and the woman. Lash and the MC will stop at nothing to protect what's belong to them.

Even though he had slept with more women than he could count, biker Lash wants someone who is pure to begin a future with. His loyalty is his MC The Skulls is unyielding, but he is ready to insert an old lady into his life and he has set his eyes on Angel Marston.

Angel is collateral for her father's debt. She keeps to herself and doesn't realize Lash has claimed her. Young and not necessarily naive, Angel is struggling with the changes now that Lash has made his interest known, she is not sure what she is meant to be to him. Lash does everything for a reason and he is taking his time with Angel, but when a rival MC turns up the heat Lash has to protect his club and his woman.

Very good, this is a bit grittier then her others. You get a good feel for MC life and I felt for Angel because she is completely lost. Anxious to read Tiny's story.

DNF

Fans of the dark and gritty MC books like I am will be greatly disappointed in Lash. The writing felt very amateur and silly. The characters were one dimensional, lacking a sexiness you would expect in the MC world.

Lash and Angel's first sex scene where he takes her virginity, Angel asks him if he should wear a condom. Lash tells her he's clean and he knows she is. She tells him she's not on the pill. His answer is "So?". She says she could get pregnant. His reply, "I don't care." and keeps going. Keep in mind they have been together all of about a week and he could care less if she wants to get pregnant or not.

Very disappointing and after that, I had no desire to continue.

I like that Lash knew what he wanted and that he didn't want to scare her off. Angel was innocent but I found her to be too naive. Are there really people like that nowadays? (I'm probably too jaded :P )

I also like that Lash didn't want his old lady to be someone that was passed around by the other members (eewww gross). After Angel turned 18 Lash stopped sleeping around and waited for her (aawwwww). She's 19 and ready for him :)

The rest of the story line was just OK.

There seems to be a lot more drama coming up with Tate and Murphy's book. Mmmmm.

LOVED that there was no cheating.
But there was something missing here for me. It didn't really grab me and give me the physical reaction that I get from a really good romance book. :(
There were things that were said/hinted at that were never explained and the story was too short and the book was TOO expensive. I don't think I'll bother with the rest of the series. Can't afford it. :(
