I'm currently going through a "werewolf" phase and try to appease myself with reading books about those sexy, possesive Alpha fur balls. As you can see from my rating, i'm on the fence with this one.
It's not that i didn't like it or that it was dreadful or anything like that but truthfully i had many issues with this book. First of all the story: There is no such thing in here, period. Nothing, really. The moment something started out the book abruptly ended. Just like that. I was searching profusely for the rest of it.
Then the heroine. I liked Jordan so much at first, she was sassy, funny, boisterous and sweet, but suddenly she became a mindless girl who put herself into harm's way, repeatedly acting recklessly all the time, even though she knew that danger was around.
Also the editing needs some work, i found the many errors quite disturbing while i was reading. Anyway there were goods things too, like the chemistry Jordan and Aric share and the amazing sex life they have. I have to admit though i was pretty destructed by Ellie's story. I bet she and Caleb have a long way ahead of them.
The storyline is about Aric and Jordan finally finding their way to each other. They are in love for many years but something keeps them apart, well not anymore.
All in all, Scent of a Mate it's an ok book, sweet and easy to read, also it feels as a prequel, i enjoyed it a lot and i will eventually read the rest of the series.

I love shifter books. So when I came across this novel and saw all the rave reviews with the four-five stars it garnered, I thought that I was in for a treat. No such luck. What was missing? A story, one that you could sink your teeth into (no pun intended). Sexual heat Aric and Jordan have in spades. No surprise there since they've secretly loved each other for years. When a "scenting ceremony" takes place, Aric takes the opportunity to claim Jordan as his mate. Surprisingly, this takes place quite early on. It's only when I finished the novel did I realize why - so that the numerous erotic and sexual escapades could fill up the pages. I'm no prude - far from it - I relish terrific sex scenes. My issue is when it's the sex that's at the forefront instead of a well-developed story. If not for all the sex this would have made for a very short novella. A lack of well-developed characters doesn't help either.
I'm at a loss as to why writers create such mindless heroines that do the most ridiculous and stupid things they do, and Jordon is no exception. She knows better than to go off on her own and she's been told repeatedly not to, but guess what? She does it not once, not twice, not thrice, but four fucking times! Each time putting herself in harm's way. The first time she's left with an injured shoulder; the second time puts her in danger not only with unknown shifters but other paranormals as well; the third time she's almost beaten to death; and the fourth time she goes back to the place where she got hurt the first time. If that's not bad enough, in each instant she's either forgotten her gun, her cell phone has no juice, or she's left the phone elsewhere. Seriously? Come on!
"Scent of a Mate" is a great story if you're in the mood for tons of hot and steamy sex scenes. The author is brilliant in this department. I just needed something more to the story than just sex. To each her own.

Scent of a Mate was the inaugural book in Milly Taiden's Sassy Mates series. I loved the setup of the story and the future books in the series. Aric and Jordan were absolutely perfect together and blazed up the pages of my Kindle. I enjoyed the fact that Jordan was not a weak or simpering female. Twice she was able to protect herself from some big bad shifters. BUT, Jordan also had a penchant for landing in dangerous situations causing her to need the added assistance of the Wolfe family. The family connection between them was very well done and I adored the family matriarch, Barbara, as well as all the other members of the family.
The only thing I didn't care so much about was the many story elements that facilitated Jordan's various attacks -- a bitter woman, rogues, and a rival. It was a bit too much. It would have been better if the attacks were prompted by one factor. This one issue aside, I enjoyed the story very much and look forward to seeing what Taiden does with the other women in the series.

I am a fan of Milly Taiden, but I can say with 100% accuracy this is her best book ever! Scent of a Mate is about 5 wonderful, zany, funny, endearing woman who are close as sisters. Aric is a wolf, as is his whole family, his sister is one of the 5 woman. Her best friend Jordan convinces her to let the girls watch their mating ritual. The woman place themselves around the clearing to watch and videotape.... My favorite scene was when Arics mother tells Aric and his brothers, to search the area...exactly where the woman are hiding!!! OOOH the fun begins!
The next scene was the hottest I have read in a long time! I loved the plot line, this book had more than hot sex, we had romance, suspense, mystery and friendship! I am hooked and cant wait for more! There isnt one chararcter in this story that is secondary, everyone captured my attention and makes me want to know more about them, including Arics parents!
Be ready for a cold shower and some cuddling with your partner! You will need it!

Man I love my wolves! She's done it again!! I know when reading one of this authors wolf books I will get EVERYTHING I NEED! This book gave me it all and more!
Jordan is not the perfect size 4 woman and I LOVE HER FOR IT! She's amazing a teacher and sassy as hell! She's always lusted after her best friends brother Aric. So when Elle gives her a chance to watching the scenting ceremony for her pack she jumps at the opportunity. What she did NOT expect was to be getting down and dirty with Aric at the ceremony. Woo hoo!
As always the wolves of Milly's are sexy, protective, sexy, sweet, sexy, tough, sexy, protective, and did I mention sexy!
Aric has loved Jordan since he first met her but his sister said to wait and back off Jordan. He did wait but, he's done waiting! She's his mate and he wants to claim her!
I really enjoyed this story too because not only did it have my wolves but it had the amazing group of friends who made me laugh. The kinda of friends every female must have!
I can't wait to see what Milly comes up with next for theses OH SO SEXY WOLVES!!!
The writing of these books suck you in from page one and keep you wanting more and more. Never a dull moment or a page that doesn't make me blush!

The story was okay, but the narration was truly awful. An annoying mix between a Valley Girl and an East Coast teen. Unfortunately, I can't separate the story from the way it was told. If I do continue with the series, I will definitely be flipping pages.

Short Sexy shifter read!!

I love reading Milly's books there's always so much love, possessiveness, fun, did I mention possessiveness? Jordan I really loved her, and Aric mhmmm boy oh boy loved him and his hotness as well, "with his piercing dark eyes, eyes she swore begged her to strip every time he glanced her way. And that tall slightly tanned hard body filled with boundless muscles. So many muscles." Jordan that girl has some cray cray thoughts that were always entertaining me, "hell, why did she start visualizing Aric as a man shoving his face in her crotch? He was in wolf shape for cripes sake." There was one scene I almost pi**ed myself laughing so hard:
"Are you...um...is that normal?" She glanced down to his ever-growing hard-on and licked her lips.
"That's pretty normal whenever I'm turned on." His voice sounded deeper than usual, rough.....
"What part turned you on, the fighting or the shoving your muzzle in my crotch?"
He's so damn possessive, "I wasn't asking for permission. You're already mine." He's protective, "rage bubbled in his veins. "What do you mean? How were they awful?" I have to say that I love every book that this author writes. This one has got to be one of the best ones.
Jordan has had a crush on Aric since she was thirteen. She never thinks that she will have a chance with him because he is a wolf and she is a human. She has talked her friend into letting her friends and her experience the scent mating. Little does she know that her life will change after that.
Aric has known Jordan was his mate since the first time that he saw her. Only thing was is that she was too young. So he bids his time and gets his sister to help him out when they have their yearly scenting.
Even though someone really wants Jordan dead she comes through every time. All I can say is there are some really hot sex scenes. There was never a dull moment in this book and the characters were to die for. Just thinking of all those sexy wolfs makes me hot. Don't know how they have stayed single so long.
If I had to pick a family that I would love to be in it would be the Wolfe's. They really take care of their own. Family means more to them than anything. I can't wait to read how the rest of the brother's do with their mates. Something tells me that it won't be easy but I know that there will be some hot and spicy sex scenes.

Holy Shit balls!! I am so in love with this book and I am already trying to figure out how to get the next book.
This book was super extremely hotness, and I probably should have waited until evening when my husband is home to read this so I could attack him. Seriously.
Aric and Jordan have both had a crush on each other without the other knowing. Aric's mother and sister both give him a push to move to claim his mate.
The thoughts that Jordan has about Aric are crazy, but honestly who hasn't thought about your man like that?
Jordan is trying to get information about her best friend's kind:shifters/wolves. This ends up getting her and her friends into some serious trouble. But because she is such close friends with Ellie and the Wolfe family she is practically one of the pack. Which means she is always protected.
This book had so much heat it was just so fan-freakin-tastic!!! Loved the drama that unfolded around the pack and Jordan. The story wasn't just about sex, but about the life of Aric's pack and Jordan trying to write the book about shifters and their mates.
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review, and I honestly can't wait to read more of the Sassy Mates Series.

This book is one of Milly best work she has out done herself.Scent of a mate was all that I thought it would be it was a great story line with great character. Love the story line with Aric and Jordan they are some explosive romance going on in there relationship and they are well made for each other. I like that his mother know that Jordan was his mate and that she did not say anything and his sister Emmie his she tries to protect Jordan from her big brother.I also like the fact that she does not know what she was marked as Aric during the mating ceremony that should have been watching. I looking for to reading the next book in this series because it would be nice to see what happens between Aric's brothers and Jordan's friends. This book is one sexy romance that kept me going from the moment I bought it and started reading it I could not put the book down until I was finished. This a highly recommend read it is a very good paranormal romance book and Milly's work is awesome in how she draws you into the characters and there lives.

I really loved this book it's the first one I've read for this author. I'm a huge paranormal romance fan, shifter books are some of my favorites.....this one is all about werewolves.
Scent of A Mate starts with a werewolf scenting ceremony. Basically it helps the wolves choose their mates. The couple in this story is Aric, a very sexy werewolf and Jordan, a human, who is best friends with Aric's sister Ellie. Apparently Aric & Jordan have secretly been in hots with each other for many years. Of course everyone around them knew, but they each were clueless to the attraction. Jordan doesn't think she's good enough for Aric and that he'd prefer a female werewolf instead. However, this alpha male wants her and nothing will stand in his way!!
I found the characters very likeable and the story line was great. This book had it all as they say....humor, romance, excitement, suspense, lots of sexy werewolves for future stories and that all important HEA!! Oh and dear we forget some of the best hot loves scenes in shifter history!! I loved this book for another reason too. It provides the reader with an important lesson. Never sell yourself short, even if you've had things happen to you during your lifetime, don't feel that you aren't worthy of the love and affection of others. Love who you are and never give up....there is someone for you out there!!

Anyone who looks at my previous reviews will know that I am a fan of Ms. Taiden. However another thing they will note is that I do tend to be very critical as well. I set a certain standard and if that standard is not met, I have no problem stating it publicly. Such has been the case in the past.
The characters were funny and likable. They were relatable in a way none of Ms. Taiden’s previous characters ever have been. Jordan and the girls reminded me of my friends at that age. Hell, they remind me of certain friends of mine now. The women are strong and independent yet know when to ask for help. This very thing is what makes Aric officially my favorite shifter hero. He knew when to push and when to let Jordan stand on her own to feet. There were no “Me Tarzan, you Jane” moments here, much to my enjoyment. And the best part? Unlike too many of Ms. Taiden’s heroines, Jordan isn’t suddenly struck stupid the second she is mated. She is just as strong and independent after as is was before she and Aric get together.
With enjoyable characters, a great plot and some action thrown in for good measure, this has got to be my favorite book by Ms. Taiden to date. I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble the other girls get in to!
The characters were funny and likable. They were relatable in a way none of Ms. Taiden’s previous characters ever have been. Jordan and the girls reminded me of my friends at that age. Hell, they remind me of certain friends of mine now. The women are strong and independent yet know when to ask for help. This very thing is what makes Aric officially my favorite shifter hero. He knew when to push and when to let Jordan stand on her own to feet. There were no “Me Tarzan, you Jane” moments here, much to my enjoyment. And the best part? You can never go wrong whenever you read one of Milly Taiden’s wolf shifter books. I have yet to find one that I did not like. Her cover for Scent of a Mate I will have to admit is my favorite one up to date and definitely the best choice for this book. The author has an amazing mind when she writes and you know that you are in for a sexy read that always has some parts that are funny. I stayed up and read this book from start to finish without putting it down because it kept me in a trance of must have MORE. You have the lead female character Jordan who is an amazing real woman who has had a tough life and if it wasn’t for the family of her best friend who knows what could have happened to her. She has come from a broken home but in spite of that she has become a stronger, independent, and trustworthy awesome women that anyone would be happy to call a friend. Remember the best friend’s family I spoke about, well she has brothers and let me tell you they are all sexy but only one catches the eye of Jordan, Aric. With him being the next in line for alpha and also has been unsure of the feelings Jordan has for him he has kept his distance.
Aric learns that she has to work through her feelings and is willing to give her time due to her past. I absolutely loved these moments because there was no alpha male status only a gentle fur ball caring for the feelings of a mate. Scent of a Mate by Milly Taiden is just what I needed to satisfy my craving for the paranormal! Very well done! Sexy and intense as hell!
I'm always so excited when I get another Milly Taiden book to read! It is guaranteed to be sexy as hell! Scent Of A Mate was a page-turning, sizzling, exciting paranormal romance that will have you on the edge of your seat. Shifters are one of my favorite things to read about, and I enjoyed these characters so much.
Jordan Alvarez was a kick-ass female lead. She's independent, loyal, and certainly speaks her mind. Her story was touching because she came from a broken home, with parents who were too drunk to pay any attention. She always got picked on for her weight and her old clothes. So many girls out there can relate to Jordan's past, and it's fantastic that Milly made her out to be a stronger woman because of it, and because she had that one friend that stuck by her to help fight her battles. She was just an all around amazing character.

Jordan has been in lust with her best friend's brother forever. Little did she know that Aric Wolfe had eyes for her for a very long time. The interaction between these two was hilarious and lovely. Sexy, smoldering, and beautiful. Aric Wolfe is an Alpha Male to rival all alpha males. There is nothing more sexy than a protective, gorgeous, hunk of man who knows what he wants and will do anything to get it. He has known Jordan was HIS for a very long time. Aric has been very patient, but now it's time to stake his claim, and he will take down whoever or whatever is in his way.

I haven’t met a Taiden book yet that I haven’t liked.
Shifters; strong, loyal… HOT! Just the way I like them. This story followed a more “true” shifter storyline, if there is such a thing, but there are always little twists. You get a good sense that the author is attuned with her characters and the world she has created.
Jordan is a strong human female that has been friends with shifters most of her life. She has also had a crush on her best friend’s shifter brother all of that time. She was more or less adopted into this family as they helped care for and raise her. Jordan’s own parents were alcoholics and could not be counted on.
Aric is the best friend’s brother, and a hot piece of soon-to-be alpha. Like most alpha males he is very protective and possessive. But with that he knows Jordan’s personality and he doesn’t push for submissiveness from her. Not that I could imagine that. He works hard to show Jordan that he is the one. When it came to pack you got a sense of just how fair of a leader he would be.
This book had crotch sniffing, tree climbing, mystery and great romance. There is some set up for future installments with secondary characters… at least that’s my hope.

In this novel Taiden mixes scorchingly vivid scenes with real life drama and insecureties to create a supernatural tale that will keep you hooked. Being an extremely descriptive author she creates an entire world within our own for this story to take place in. I love the fact that it could be taking place next door without anyone ever knowing. Taiden is also the type of author that engages her readers’ emotions throughout. She brought tears to my eyes on one page and made me laugh the next, creating the perfect balance to escape reality with.
By taking the standard view of werewolves, Taiden gives herself much more space to develop her storyline, rather than re-developing the were. Any misconceptions about them are on the part of the characters within the novel, which makes for a quite unique tale. That said, she also presents a very fully developed mating ritual for these wolves, and presents it in such a manner that the audience will feel like they’ve been there.
Overall this was a quick, light read that was simultaneously suspenseful, racy, and funny. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to escape reality with a few supes for a while.

If there's one thing I've learned about Milly Taiden, its that she knows how to write some steamy as hell books! Oh Lordy was this one on fire! *fanning self* Jordan has crushed on her bff's older brother Aric for years, never daring to think he could ever return those feelings. Ahem, WRONG! Aric has know since he was 18 and Jordan 13 that she was his mate. But seeing as she was so young, he had to wait and bide his time until he could claim her. Jordan is helping Ellie with a book on shifter scenting rituals and happens to be in the right place at the right time ;) Aric makes his move and let me tell you, they set that grass on fire with their smexin! This book was a great read from start to finish. There's a set up of a bigger issue the pack has to deal with, which I assume will continue in the next book. There's also a little matter of Aric proving to Jordan that she is his mate and he wants her, not just for now but for forever. She is a stubborn and feisty human but when push comes to shove, she knows where her heart lies and quits fighting. But who's kidding who here?! He's a mega hot alpha male who knows how to please! I'd quit fighting too! :D Can't wait to continue with this series and see the rest of the Wolfe boys get brought to their knees by their future mates!

He knows exactly who he wants as his. But it's someone that may not be acceptable by his pack. Will he be able to find a mate that'll please both him and his pack members?

Scent of a Mate by Milly Taiden is a paranormal romance novella featuring wolf shifter Aric Wolfe and human heroine Jordan. Scent of a Mate is the first book in Milly Taiden's Sassy Mate series. She does an excellent job of introducing characters and setting up the background for the future books in this series.
Aric Wolfe has known his little sister's best friend Jordan is his mate for a long time and has decided now is the time to lay his claim. With the help of his sister (and unbeknownst to him his mother), Aric sets out to claim his mate. I won't spoil the story but I will say it has plenty of romance, interesting characters, a bit of suspense, and of course hot, hot, hot loving! Highly recommend this book.

Can I tell you the two things I love most about Milly Taiden books?
1. They are sexy as hell, and I mean steaming hot, blow on it, let it sit for a minute, burning hot!!
2. They always make me smile. The women are fiesty and hard headed, the men are domineering and too hot for words.
This book, just like the others Ive read, are so worth every penny spent! The stories flow perfectly, and the characters are well developed. There's nothing I don't like about these shifter/wolf books by this author! You just have got to read it!

Oh man, do I love Alphas! Yes, pick this book up now!

This was a cute short read. Jordan has always crushed on her bff’s brother and truly believes with him being a shifter they can and will never be together. Her bff gives her permission to record and document a scenting ceremony and from there the story takes off. Aric has known Jordan was his mate s8nce their first meeting. She was too young at the time for him to make a move until his sister lets him know she’s there and it’s time for him to get his girl. At first Jordan is kind of in denial and doesn’t realize she’s been officially claimed so she runs from Aric. Unfortunately for her everyone is out for her blood. Other female shifters and a evil gone bad wolf alpha of a nearby pack want Jordans blood. I am honestly shocked by how much Jordan is hurt and how often, personally it was too much. I did like at the end where she came into her own wolf and was finally able to protect herself. The romance was cute, Aric was really sweet and obsessed with Jordan. I just wish she wasn’t constantly healing from this or that lol.

SCENT OF A MATE is the first in a new "Sassy Mates" series, and at 239 pages for just $3.99, is a great read at a great price! Now, I was fortunate enough to get to do a read of an ARC in exchange for this honest review -- and you know me, once I saw there was this opportunity, I went all geek reader bugging everyone to get me on the list! She also has some other shifter series that are in their beginning stages that I've already read & enjoyed ("Federal Paranormal Unit" , "Black Meadow Pack" - 2 stories and "Alpha Project"), so I really felt it was a safe bet to read this one - and I was right [Snarky Mom is a Mom, which means she's ALWAYS right]!
Okay, SCENT OF A MATE. Jordan is a human friend to Ellie Wolfe, the only sister of four alpha male brothers of the alpha family of the Wolfe Pack. Knowing Jordan is a journalist, she asks her to write a history of their pack / species, and as such gives her permission to view their annual "Scenting Ceremony" where wolves hope to find their mate. So... ever visit a friend and have their dog immediately run up to you and stick their nose into your crotch, while you try to squirm & bat them away without looking like a total ass in embarrassment? Well, that's what the scenting ceremony is. The scenting happens in wolf... AND human forms. I gotta hand it to Milly Taiden; she has created a completely new facet to the whole mate issue!
Jordan has always luv'd Aric, Ellie's oldest brother - and lo and behold, but he catches her filming the scenting ceremony and does some crotch diving of his own, culminating in some hubba hubba crotch diving, and him putting a mark on her. She doesn't quite "get it", and it's not an official mate mark, and they dance back & forth while people continually try to kill Jordan. But you know what? You should read it yourself. Seriously. Go click that "buy" button and be happy happy with a new shifter series, especially since it's obvious how the future ones are going to proceed! Know why else this is a great buy? At the end is a short called "A Hero Scarred" written by Milly Taiden as April Angel. BOONNNUUUSSSSSSSS! (Yep - Snarky Mom luvs her deals!!)

Actual Rating: 4.5 Stars
I want to preface the following reviews by saying that I am not a true fan of erotica, I find that it can often get coarse and lapse into unnecessary description of the act of sex, without touching on any romance or emotional levels for the characters. I am happy to say that Taiden has managed to fully develop her rutting wolves into compassionate characters with hearts of gold. Yes, there is a lot of sex involved in both books, but you cannot help but falling in love with the Wolfe brothers, and the entire Wolfe family for that matter. We cannot forget sister, Ellie; nor mom and dad.
Normally I would segregate the reviews into two parts, but I feel that the two books compliment each other so well that they shouldn't be parted.
What begins in Scent a Mate is the story not just of a couple coming together after years of tormenting themselves; but the beginning of a family saga. The Wolfe family, and leaders of the pack, hold everyone that is dear to them, close to their hearts and their souls. Through a delightful attention to detail and character development, Taiden introduces all of the characters in what I hope will be a beautiful series, touching each member of the family. I am seeing an epic saga in my mind, and can only hope that Taiden has it within her to cover each family member; and then bring us an epic conclusion. Am I asking too much?
Yes, these are books that clearly fall into the erotica category, but unlike so many novels before that fall short in plot and story development; Taiden has blasted into the realm of dramatic story with a compliment of steamy sex scenes that...honestly, will make your panties damp. Yes, you heard that here. My own wolf better watch out tonight, he may get ravaged.
Minor issues with fact consistency and odd phrase selections, left the stories lacking the ability to earn the coveted 5 Star reviews; but without a doubt I am honored to say that both rank at a 4.5 Star level.

Wow! What a scenting party - and I'm not talking about candles ;)
Loved this new series (Sassy Mates) from Milly Taiden with 5 Sassy women (4 human and 1 a wolf shifter). They say what they think, carry shotguns to protect themselves, and don't take anything from anyone, well except maybe the middle school students they teach when they get the puppy dog eye treatment :) Plus this one features the hero holding his feeling back not to scare HIS woman off - though he is cocky and confident, he still doesn't want to spook her. And now a bit about the story ...
Jordan has finally convinced Ellie to let her and their friends document the Scenting Ceremony the Wolfe pack is holding. Jordan has convinced Ellie it is important to document their culture and rituals, but Ellie has an ulterior motive with her brother Aric as it relates to Jordan. Don't get me wrong Ellie and Jordan are best friends and have been for years and love each other like sisters. The only problem is there are a few others who have plans for Aric -- give this book a try and see who all has their target set on Aric and meet his other three brothers, known collectively as the Sexy Four.
Favorite passages:

Jordan has finally convinced Ellie to let her and their friends document the Scenting Ceremony the Wolfe pack is holding. Jordan has convinced Ellie it is important to document their culture and rituals, but Ellie has an ulterior motive with her brother Aric as it relates to Jordan. Don't get me wrong Ellie and Jordan are best friends and have been for years and love each other like sisters. The only problem is there are a few others who have plans for Aric -- give this book a try and see who all has their target set on Aric and meet his other three brothers, known collectively as the Sexy Four.

This is by far the best book Milly Taiden has put out to date!
Jordan and Aric together are hot! Jordan is this awesome woman who doesn't know her own worth, she learned long ago that she has to count on herself first and always. then she met Ellie and they became instant friends. Enter Emma, Karla and Nicole and you have the dynamic 5. As close as sisters and always there for each other through thick and thin. With Ellie comes her brothers, Aric, Nathan, Jake and Mason or as the girls call them the sexy four.
Aric and Jordan together are beautiful, and hot and sexy and burn the pages!
Aric knows what he wants, Jordan. Its convincing her of that is the hard part.
This story has witty quips and one liners like "What part turned you on, the fighting or the shoving your muzzle into my crotch" and "Holy God of men with large penises she'd swear starts burst behind her lids" You know this story is going to be both entertaining and Smexy at the same time.
Milly doesn't disappoint. The plot was awesome, loveable characters that you found yourself rooting for and secondary characters that will have you dying to know what their story is.
I find my mind wandering to different parts of this book and thinking oh that's what that scene meant, and oh so and so was in on this. The little things that I didn't catch while reading the book suddenly made the whole book that much better on review. The second read was so much better then the first time too. All of a sudden I found myself laughing and saying things like "you are one sneaky mama" and "Damn, I will never look at a chain link fence the same way"
Definitely worth the read and definitely going to wanna make sure you aren't in public while reading this one!

The sex is steaming hot. Their passion is tender and possessive. Their love is complete and fulfilling. Ms. Taiden had me laughing so hard my husband started muttering about straightjackets, again! I laughed, swooned, and had to fan myself, many times during this tale.
The theme is that sometimes the best part of your family is the part you chose to include in your heart. It takes Jordan a while to get it, but that realization is the fulfillment of the dreams she didn't even voice to herself.
Recommended for: 18+ due to graphic sex and violence

No one would know that four human women had sneaked proof of their rituals, or at least, that was the plan until Aric Wolfe showed up. Jordan is a strong human female that has been friends with shifters most of her life. She has also had a crush on her best friend's shifter brother all of that time. She was more or less adopted into this family as they helped care for and raise her. Jordan's own parents were alcoholics and could not be counted on.
