I lost everything when I testified against my fiancé for the murders of three women. After the jury delivered a life sentence, I ran. I hoped if I could disappear, maybe the horror he caused would, too.
When I return to Florida for the first time after his conviction, I’m determined to face my fears and get my life back. Then, a woman is murdered and I’m the only one who believes her death features the same signature as those I’m trying so hard to forget.
Instinct tells me to run again, but local cop Logan Blackwell has never let a suspect–or a woman–get away. He’s made it his own personal mission to solve the case and he needs my help to do it.
I have no choice once we learn I’m the next target, but I’m not interested in getting close to another man, especially not a sexy former Marine who has secrets of his own.

Honestly this was my favorite of the series so far Nicole Blanchard has decided to give us one more hero in this series
**"I voluntarily reviewed this ARC" ..** .**In exchange for an honest review.**
This was a very frustrating book to read. There were parts that I loved and parts that made me just want to bang my head into a wall.
Summary: Piper has been drifting since tragedy destroyed her life. She can't forget what happened and can't move on. She ends up in Nassau, FL, helping out at an Inn. Instinct and her wariness of people tells her to stay away from neighbor Logan, one of the local cops. But she can't fight her attraction to him and his persistence in getting to know her. Just when she starts to let her guard on and hopes to move on with her life, the past comes back haunt her. And she may not survive the threat.
Series Note: Fourth book in the First to Fight series. It has a common set up characters but can be read on it's own.
On the surface I enjoyed this book. I'm always up for reading a romance with a good suspense plot. And this book starts off with the proverbial bang. It's heartbreaking and gripping and I had high hopes for the rest of the book. It partially lives up to those hopes.
I enjoyed the basics of the suspense portion plot. While not the most original it was still interesting and had me wanting to keep reading to see what would happen. It wasn't the most well-developed suspense plot but was fairly decent. I felt it could have been fleshed out more and wrapped up much better. At the end I kinda didn't feel like I knew the whole story.
The characters were good and I was engaged in the romance between Piper and Logan. With all the Piper has been through you can't help but want her to get her happy ending. Logan's character was a bit underdeveloped. There are things mentioned then never fleshed out. It left him a bit superficial.
Where this book falls apart is in the details. There is a lot of inconsistency throughout the book, and also the series, that really takes away from the momentum of the story. When you're zipping along through the book and come across something that doesn't make sense it stops you in your tracks and you have to try to figure out what doesn't match and be annoyed about it. And there's a lot of that in this book and across the series. I just got so frustrated when reading.
Examples: Gavin is Piper's ex-boyfriend at the beginning of the book and then about two-thirds through he is suddenly her ex-fiance.
At the start of the book, there are heavy implications that Logan has a problem with alcohol. There is a short line a little while later with Piper acknowledging it (which made no sense as there was no way she could have known it) and then that aspect of the story completely disappears. Along with that, there are indications of problems in Logan's past with his family but then that disappears as well.
Piper is initially said to be drifting, trying to deal with what happened, and avoiding a persistent reported. Then suddenly she's one the run because the killer could still be after her.
Piper's car goes from a 6 year old sedan to a 1998 vehicle (which would have made it like 17-18 years old).
In the epilogue, Piper names one of her children Lennox - supposedly in honor of her friend she lost. The assumption being Lennox is named after Lena....who was a peripheral character that Piper had one conversation with in the book. Made no sense. I couldn't help but wonder if the baby was supposed to be named after Carly, Piper's good friend from college who was murdered.
The timeline from the murders to the current time also seems out of whack a lot.
Olivia and Ben's son Cole is said to have had a heart transplant...which doesn't match the previous books. He had his surgeries and was doing great and then suddenly in this book he'd had a transplant with not backstory given.
And this one drives me nuts...at the end of book 2, Ben and Olivia's story, the epilogue is during Cole's 2nd birthday and Olivia tells Ben she's pregnant. But throughout book 3 and this book, she's not pregnant and has no other kids. Timeline wise, she should have.
Also, maybe it's just me...but when a guy (Ben) has had a traumatic brain injury and has permanent hearing lost...STOP HAVING HIM GET PUNCHED IN THE HEAD FOR NOT GOOD REASON!!!!!
** Those are the inconsistencies I can think of, but I know there were more. For someone like me, who is a detail oriented reader, these just really threw the book off track for me and kept me from really getting into it as much as I could.
There's a lot of potential to the story (and the series) but the execution is lacking. With a little more attention to detail I think the author could write some really good books.
WARNING: this books contains graphic violence against women and touches on rape (though not graphically).
I really adore this series. I seriously do. The first book stole my heart and the fourth in its series continues to ridge its own path in captivating my mind and soul. Each installment has its own particular flavor and voice, and I enjoy how it's not embroidered with over the top drama. I just hate the stereotypical cliched broken characters, ya know?
The last single guy from the group of friends and brother's in arms (past books and this all connect together) Piper is one the run from a killer, he killed others and her twin sister and messed with her head and making her believed it was her ex fiance and convicted him made her run. Now in a little town with very nice people her past will come and hunt (not haunt) her down. Her savior is near neighbor and local detective Logan Blackwell. Logan felt Sirena (Piper) was running from something and hiding information but he will be determined to get the truth, he just never thought to get it a killer will be leaving bodies around.
Wasn't a bad story but the very first part, we were in the killer's head and what he felt when he killed his first-that we know- victim. Book 5 Honor will be about the man that Ben saved Scott Green.
This is my first time listening to a book by Nicole Blanchard. I really loved how it started, there was a lot of suspense and action. Even though the ending was fairly predictable I enjoyed the flow for the first 30%, then it lagged a bit, and finished fairly strong. I'm definitely a fan of the suspense and how well the author portrayed the heroine, especially in the beginning. I enjoyed the side characters, especially Logan's family!
Piper is on the run from her gruesome past and a restless journalist looking to cash in on her painful story. She finds some peace and happiness in a quiet little town in Florida.
Logan is retired military and currently on the local police force. He knows something is off with Piper, but is also drawn to her.
Allie Martina and Gideon Frost do a fantastic job portraying the lead characters!
Savior is a beautifully passionate and undeniably gut-wrenching story of unrelenting hope and brazen love beyond crushing despair and devastating pain. This is story that will shake you out of your calm, peaceful, boring life and plunge you into the twisted madness of a tale that for all that goes wrong desperately clings to the need for light amidst the never-ending, heavy darkness. While you feel the fear, the horror, and the evil closing in, you also experience the fierceness of the length and breathe that the goodness of this world will fight to break through to warm, strengthen, and encourage you every step of the way. Whatever terrible battle you find yourself facing each day, please don’t forget that there is good all-around you just waiting for you to take hold of it and draw into you. The small good things in this world are never more appreciated or needed then when we are surrounded and oppressed by the evil that lies in wait for its next victim.
Logan has dedicated his life to a cause that has sucked him dry. He has given and given until all that is left is shell of the man he once was. The love he thought he found turned out to be brittle and wracked with weaknesses. Left floating through a life he was once sure of, his only anchor is found in his aunt and grandmother. Looking after them and the people in his town is all the purpose he has left. Just as he is getting used to his comfortably useless existence, fate throws Piper into his path. She leaves him unsettled and stirs emotions in him that he doesn’t want to feel or understand. How can one woman turn his world upside down and yet make him want to keep coming back for more? Can he unravel her secrets before she is lost to a past whose horror rivals his own, or will he lose her before he realizes just how important she has become to him?
Always the quiet, recluse of the close knit group of friends in this series, Logan’s story always had me curious. With a quiet soul usually comes deep scars and great pain, and to think that he literally found his match in every way in the form of Piper made me beyond ecstatic for him. Then, I learned about Piper and her devastating lose, and I was beyond thrilled to realize that Logan would end up being her shining light even when he saw himself as the complete opposite in his own eyes. The brooding loner and the broken beauty became the Savior that the other desperately needed and deeply longed for. There couldn’t have been a more perfect story for these two incredible characters!
What I wouldn’t give to have even a tiny fraction of the monumental talent that lives and grows within the very heart of Nicole Blanchard. Her words forever seer themselves into my soul, and her characters delved underneath my skin to prove that no matter what battles we have to face, they are worth every drop of our blood, sweat, and tears because they make us into who we were always mean to be. They lead us to the patch that we are mean to walk, and they push us into the crosshairs of the people that are meant to fill our lives and touch out heart. Instead of morning our lot in life, we should be always grateful for the blessings that we have no matter how small or how big they might be. The struggles of others fuel our own courage, strength, and hope to step forward into another day.
Savior is my first book by this author. It’s the fourth book in the First to Fight series. I never had the feeling that I missed something, so this book can be read as a standalone. This book does make me want to read other books by this author and get to know the secondary characters better.
Something horrible happened to Piper and she moved away from home. After a couple of years, she moves closer to home. She has a new home and a new job. She likes her new bosses who are nice and genuine women. She doesn’t really get along with her neighbor, Logan, since he likes to cause trouble.
Logan is intrigued by his new neighbor, but he doesn’t trust people easily. His aunt asks him to help Piper and they spend some time together. Logan realizes that his first idea about her was wrong and he wants to know her. He does need to convince Piper to give him a chance first.
If you’re looking for a book that’s very steamy from the start, this is not that book. This book does have one of the hottest shower scenes I have ever read. There is plenty of romance. There is a deep connection between Piper and Logan. Logan will always protect Piper. Piper feels safe again for the first time in a long time. They make each other open up about their past and move on. They live again. Piper and Logan are amazing characters! They are both strong and kind.
The book starts with a dark, brutal prologue, but it gives you an idea about what the book will be about. Savior is suspenseful. Piper thought she never had to go through the same hell again, but there are new murders happening where she lives now and she’s in danger. I was constantly wondering what was going to happen next and how the book will end.
I really wished I could give 4.5 stars. I was doubting between giving this book 4 or 5 stars. I loved the book until the end. The ending was too rushed for me. There was a twist at the end, but it was over too soon. I wanted to know more. I did love the epilogue. It was a beautiful ending to this amazing story.
-- My honest review is based on an advanced reader copy of this book. --
From the first few pages of the book, I was hooked! I could vividly picture the murder scene in the Prologue. Nicole does an excellent job of capturing the characters and painting a vivid picture of the storyline. My heart grieved for Piper and the losses she faced early on in the book. Struggling to find a place to start over and start fresh, Piper finds herself working at a B&B in Nassau. Piper soon meets Logan, her neighbor. The chemistry between these two is intense from their first encounter. Piper tries to push Logan away, but he is persistent and doesn't back down. Before long, Piper's past comes back to haunt her. Will she escape this time? I enjoyed the intense rollercoaster of emotions this book took me on and can't wait to read more from Nicole. I received a copy of this book for a honest review.
I have only read one other of the stories in this series, but you don't need to have read any of them to enjoy this.
I should warn you though, the author doesn't sugar coat the trauma which is the catalyst for Piper's current life. But that adds to the complexity and peril of the story.
The connection between Piper and Logan fair sizzles off the page, which is, on some levels, surprising, given her history. However, this story, these characters, really captured my imagination, and I genuinely begrudged having to set it aside to go to work.
As with the other book I read, this is well written, with suspense, a little humour and a lot of action. and high emotion. I really enjoyed it.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book. The simplicity but yet the complexity that brings this book together is simply amazing. Author Nicol Blanchard brought this book full circle with these amazing characters and the hotness that they provided.

Savior First to Fight Series, Book 4 By: Nicole Blanchard Narrated by: Allie Martina, Gideon Frost
Wow, Nicole Blanchard immediately grabbed my attention right with this amazing romantic suspense and captivated it the entire book. I am not sure how this is my first book of hers, it definitely will not be my last and I am looking forward to check out more of her books. Without giving away any spoilers, the first part of the book takes you to the edge of your seat and has your heart beating out of your chest and those are not the end of the heart pounding scenes. Sienna Davenport is running from her past, moving and starting over when she thinks it is catching up to her, she even left her name behind. She is ready to take her life back and put her traumatic past behind her, starting over with a new job at the Nassau Bed and Breakfast on Lake McCormick. Her friend recommended her for the job and Rose and her daughter Diane, the owners, welcomed with open arms. Sienna is happy with her job and the cottage she gets to live in, though she wasn’t exactly thrilled with her new inquisitive neighbor at first, but he grew on her once his gruffness settled down. Logan Blackwell is a former marine who is currently an officer with the Nassau County Sheriff’s department and his senses are telling him that Sienna is hiding something and he intends to find out what it is. When Sienna’s past comes back to haunt her and threaten those she cares about, she has to open up and let him know. The chemistry between these two is smoking hot, and I thought they were great together and for each other. Both were dealing with their own demons from their past so they can relate and help each other get past them. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a cleverly plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, some mystery, twists, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a steamy romance. Nicole Blanchard, thank you for this fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Nicole Blanchard could not have chosen a better cast to bring her characters and story to life. Allie Martina and Gideon Frost make a great team and their narration enhances an already fantastic story to another level. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that suited their character’s persona, sounding believable in every role they played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Martina grasped every side of Sienna’s personality, from her vulnerable side to her butt kicking side, and Frost did the same for Logan, nailing the role. Both were just as amazing performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

After narrowly escaping a serial killer, fear drives Piper Davenport to change her name and disappear. Now living as Sienna, the last thing she needs is her neighbor, the annoying, motorcycle revving police detective, discovering her real identity! Unfortunately for her, Detective Logan Blackwell never met a secret her couldn’t ferret out, and Sienna has aroused his uh, curiosity! When a woman bearing an eerily familiar signature is found dead, Piper’s time may be running out! “Savior” is a well written, fabulously narrated, heart pounding Romantic Suspense Thriller! Perfectly balanced, with just the right amounts of mystery, suspense, romance, heat and humor, I throughly enjoyed this story! I loved the characters, I love how they interacted with one another and even though this book is part of a series, it’s the first one for me, and I wasn’t lost! It easily stood alone! The plot flowed smoothly, left me with no unanswered questions and made perfect sense! And that twist! WOW! That really caught me by surprise! No spoilers. I don’t want to ruin the reveal for anyone! You’ll see what I mean when you get there! Now a few words about the narration. Off the charts fabulous! This narration was the stuff of dreams! BOTH narrators were excellent and voiced both male and female characters clearly and convincingly! Truth be told, EVERY character was voiced beautifully and EVERY emotion was conveyed convincingly! Narration of this caliber makes it so easy to stay “in” the story, thereby enhancing the listener’s enjoyment! And believe me, I really enjoyed this one! I laughed, and yes I cried. I won’t play spoiler and tell you when I did what, but trust me THIS was truly a fantastic story brought to glorious life by fabulous narration! Five stars!
My favourite two books of the series remain as Warrior and Survivor.
I am sorry but twenty chapters of mystery and it is all over in two pages that end chapter twenty and then we are given a Epilogue kind of left me flat with too many questions in my head for a STANDALONE.
What I loved - the connection between Logan and Sienna was just immediate and I felt it to my bones. Logan was perfect for Sienna and the Epilogue simply ended beautifully for the characters, thank you for giving Sienna the gift you did, it was like a full circle. I did find it a bit weird that Logan next caught onto the "secret" considering how alpha and protective he was.
Grandma Rose and Aunt Diane were two characters I loved from the start and their world of B&B made a safe haven for Sienna. To watch these two women circle Sienna and give her a safe place was a beautiful thing to read and their humour gave light to sometimes dark moments. Their banter with Logan being the overprotective Aunt and Grandma was fantastic, love seeing a grown alpha man brought to hell by two overprotective loving women.
What left me unsatisfied was the pace which towards the end was too fast in order to wrap up the whole drama and suspense, especially the motel scene. I mean it was like "wham bam thank you ma'am" and it was all over. We got no further information.
I have so many questions about Joseph and Gavin. Did the killer think Paige was Piper? Why did he kill off her friends? Was he trying to get rid of them all so she would need him? I wanted to know more about that fateful night at the nightclub, I was dying to know his side of the story? After finishing this book I actually went back to the when she was at college and checked some paragraphs in case I missed something as the whole ex Fiancee Gavin was not sitting right with me.
Wow, talk about going out with a Bang! This final book in the First to Fight series started with a Prologue that will get your heart pumping and take your breath away! Then when you think you can settle in and relax a bit, it will once again take you by surprise. Piper was a carefree, wild, and reckless college student when the unimaginable happens to her. Now, years later after running from her old life, she is back in Florida, ready to take her life back. She wants to lay her demons to rest so she can find joy and happiness again. She takes a job at a Bed & Breakfast in a small sea side community and moves in across the street. Her new neighbor, Logan Blackwell, is an ex. marine, now local police officer who is dark, masculine, and sexy. She is drawn to him but isn't ready to start dating yet. Logan is intrigued by this beautiful, independent, and mysterious woman. He is patient and persistent, breaking down her walls until she finally agrees to go out with him. Soon tragic events begin happening around them, and Logan will stop at nothing to protect Piper. This story is raw, bold, and emotional. Logan and Piper are two strong characters who feel honest and authentic. I enjoyed their banter and their chemistry was explosive. This is a fast paced suspenseful journey that is exhilarating and emotional and I enjoyed every minute of it. Allie Martina, and Gideon Frost are both new narrators to me and I really enjoyed their performances. They both picked the perfect tone for this story and easily delivered all the emotion, and heart pounding suspense, making this story even more exciting. I will definitely look for more of their work.
Savior First to Fight Series, Book 5 By: Nicole Blanchard Narrated by: Allie Martina, Gideon Frost
There I am. Starting this book and unable to put it down. From the first chapter, there is nothing but suspense building action and a new found love that is undeniable. Sienna/Piper is running. Always running. After escaping an attempt on her life, she never feels safe and is always moving to start over. Now she is starting again, and little does she know just how her life will change. Logan returned from the military and became a small town detective. When Sienna takes a job on his family's property, and lives literally across the lawn from him, he wants to know more about her. But just what he finds may be eye opening. Romance that is a bit of a slow burn and danger that is untouchable is just what this book brings. Can Piper ever trust her situation? Will the killer come back for her? Would Logan be able to keep her safe? The twists and turns in this one had me guessing until the end, and it's exactly what I love. Incredible romantic suspense!
Allie Martina and Gideon Frost bring this gem alive. Martina is spot on as Sienna/Piper. She gives every feeling she is going through, from the guarded heart to the passionate woman. Frost comes through as the alpha, protective Logan, and then switches to a crazy, serial killer voice that is chilling! Loved these two and thoroughly enjoyed their performance.
My review is written after reading and listening to this book
I purchased the eBook sometime last year and enjoyed the story, enough that I was keen to listen to the audio version when it became available. I wondered if the narration would be equal to the story. I need not have worried the narration by Allie Martina and Gideon Frost is excellent, they had no difficulty bringing every character to life beautifully and were able to express all the feelings and emotions that the characters were experiencing in this somewhat intense emotional rollercoaster that Nicole takes us on.
I don't want to give spoilers but I would say you need to be aware of the trigger warnings in case these are something you should avoid (Murder/Rape). The characters Piper, a woman in hiding, and Logan, a former marine who is now a cop, are very well-drawn and are both interesting and intriguing their story includes not only romance, love, palpable chemistry and sizzling sex scenes but lots of drama, angst, suspense and intrigue as well as some surprising twists and turns I didn't see coming.
This story can be listened to or read as a stand-alone so don't worry if you have missed the earlier books you will have no difficulty at all becoming embroiled in Piper and Logan's story about two people who are perfect for each other, I especially loved the epilogue it rounded everything off beautifully.
Once again, this was a good story that could have been so much better.
Piper survived a horrible tragedy, and she is still on the run from the perpetrator. Logan is an ex-marine turned small town cop who wants to keep Piper safe.
The plot is good with twists and turns. However, yet again, the author seems to have forgotten her own descriptions and details as they shift and change throughout the story. Small issues maybe, but they show a lack of attention to detail that hiring a professional copy editor would have addressed. Examples: 1. An ex boyfriend is described as an ex-fiancé at one point. Just once. Not when he’s first introduced and not after being described as an ex-fiancé. 2. An important tattoo changes location 3. The MMCs skin color keeps changing. I can accept that caramel, tawny and dark are all similar, but then it’s later described as tan. Is he a POC or not?
Like all the other books in this series, it ends right after the bad guy is caught. There is no wrap up chapter. If you want to read the epilogue, you have to sign up for a newsletter, which I’m not doing for every author. Epilogues should not be bonus chapters that you have to give away your email to get.
These are quick, easy reads, that are good (but not great), so I’ll finish the series. But only because I can read one in a day.
WOW!!! This is a fantastic story that keeps you flipping pages until the very end. I my case, listening intently and hung on every word from the narrators. They did a great job brining the story and characters to life. The plot has some very intense moments and there are possible triggers in this story. When the story started I was wondering what I got my self into. I loved every bit of this read as well as the characters. The story is about Logan and Piper/Sienna. She is running from demons, a killer and a reporter. Sienna is new to town and has begun working at a B&B, Logan is a Marine who has moved back home and become a cop. He lives in a cabin by his aunts B&B. These two end up being neighbors. As the story develops and unfolds so do the facts and building of trust. This story is very captivating and intriguing with suspense, action, murder, danger, passion, steam and good twists and turns. Although this is book five in the "First to Fight" series it can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone one. I have not read the precious ones and cannot wait to go read or listen to them.
Piper aka Sienna is on the run since surviving an attack that left her best friend and twin dead. She is working at a B and B and finds herself attracted to cop Logan. She tries to keep her distance due to her past. Logan is a local cop and former marine. He is also wary of others but does find himself drawn to Piper. As a murderer enters the town that has extreme similarities to the killer she’s running from the mystery and drama intensifies. Logan is determined to protect the woman he loves even if it means putting himself in harms way. The book was heart pounding , page turning, and nail biting suspense. There was love, steam and romance as well. These characters were to awesome together and strengthened each other in such a great way. This is my first read by this author but I will starting this series from the beginning

From the moment I started reading Savior I knew this was going to be a good book, and it was not only good, but amazing! Once I started reading I couldn't put it down! Piper is running from her past, a victim of an attack and a survivor, and is looking for a place to settle down and call home. She goes to Florida and takes a job at a B&B. Her neighbor is none other than Logan Blackwell, a policeman, ex marine, and sexy as sin! When another attack happens Piper knows it's the same man. Logan feels he needs to protect Piper, but feels she is withholding something and he's determined to find out what it is. I absolutely loved Logan and Piper's story. It's a wonderfully written with mystery, suspense, and a brilliant storyline that captures your attention throughout.

When twins Piper and Paige Davenport and their roommate aren’t studying for their finals at Florida’s Southern University, they are partying. Up until a serial killer came to SU. After he kills two of the women Piper loves the most in the world, she leaves college and decides to travel around the states to get her life back in order. No longer the party girl, she takes a job working at the Nassau Bed and Breakfast where she meets Logan Blackwall, local cop, son and nephew of the B&B’s owners. When women start being attacked or killed again, Piper who goes by Sierra now, knows the killer is back and he is coming for her this time. And with Logan’s help, they work together to find him before he hurts her again. I voluntarily read and reviewed an audiobook copy of Savior narrated by Allie Martina and Gideon Frost. All thoughts and opinions are my own. A great listen!
I loved about this book the simplicity of the narración and the intensity of the plot.
There's a man hunting girls on a college campus, in Miami. He attacks them, rape them, breaks them. One of the victims was Piper's friend, and even when she knows about the danger, one night she left her defenses down. That night changed her life forever.
Piper runs away, hides herself in different places trying to forget... and then, she meets Logan, a former Marine turned into a cop. When a man started to repeat the MO of the criminal from Miami, Piper has to trust in someone else to help her, to save her.
This book was great, with an amazing and suspenseful vibe. I didn't read the previous books, but now I will. This is an standalone so you can read it first (as I did).

I feel like I just read the first rough draft and not the finished story. The timeline was all over the place and inconsistent while things happened with no explanation. There's a lot of incorrect things like her ex-boyfriend became her fiance, she was four years out of college then it was two, a woman was murdered (not explained at all, just randomly dumped as information) that became a man named Stephen at the end, Logan becomes a cop without any academy training after a month and is allowed to answer calls alone, and cops didn't run any DNA from Paige's crime scene. There wasn't any research done for this story.
Also, Logan and Piper were cardboard cutouts that had no connection or spark.
Rating: 3.5 stars. - She thinks she escaped a serial killer and is finally laying down roots and starting to feel a little safe… just to have eerily similar attacks begin in the town she’s settled in…
For a romantic suspense, this was decent overall, although the twist at the end wasn’t very surprising. A few things that kept me from loving it: it felt a bit wishwashy, one instant the FMC is all ‘stay away from me’ the next instant she’s giggling and kissing him and it also seemed to leap from scene to scene, like ok we’re at a nice get together, meeting new friends… suddenly we’re at home. Things like that made it harder for me to enjoy. Also, I listened to the audiobook and I personally did not care for the female narrator. The male narrator I liked. - Spice level: 2.5/5.
I really enjoyed this one! It was a good read and story! I liked the characters and the storyline. It pulled me in from the beginning to end and was easy to read. There was plenty of intrigue and some action as well as we watch Piper and Logan deal with a serial rapist and murderer. Piper was a victim in the past and now she is trying to start over and put down some roots again and she lands in Nassau and ends up running into Logan who is drawn to her and won’t let her push him away. He gets past her walls while working on a case and it starts hitting close to him very quickly to her past. This story was good and I enjoyed it.
This is an exceptional book to read love the suspense and romance. Piper (Sienna) is a survivor from an attack. She has shifted from town to town and finally she has come to Nassau. Logan is a ex marine turned cop and lives next door to Piper (Sienna). When there is an attack on a young girl, Piper knows it’s the same guy who attacked her. I will be reading the other books in this series, loved it. I received a free copy of this book through booksprout for an voluntary and honest review.
