Claire e Patrick, ragazzi irlandesi, vanno in gita scolastica a Newgrande per assistere ad un singolare episodio: durante il solstizio d'inverno, infatti, il sole penetra da un'apertura dell'antichissimo monumento megalitico e ne illumina l'interno.
