A disappointing book -- it's complicated and interesting and fun right up until the end, at which point it collapses into a pile of cliches. It took me a while to spot the twist, but once I'd spotted it, that's all there was to the story. Still, fascinating world-building!

I loved this book. My preconceptions of it were completely wrong, which is good because I love books that aren't predictable. The story line was intriguing and the characters were well defined. Anyone who likes action, adventure, and a touch of love will enjoy this book.
