When Jennifer looks in the mirror, she can barely recognize herself. An abusive relationship transformed a woman with a promising future into a broken soul. For the past three years she has tried desperately to forget her pain, but her wounds still haunt her. She has learned to never give her heart away.
Now, as Jennifer struggles to piece her life back together, she meets one man who could change everything.
Philip Haas is a self-made man who always gets what he wants. He's the epitome of wealth, power, and sex. Despite his incredible wealth and seductive personality, his life has not been as easy as it appears.
When they share a night of passion, more questions than answers arise. Does Philip truly care for her, or is he just using her body?
Just when it seems like the answers are in sight, Philip's past resurfaces to threaten their relationship. Will he overcome his past for Jennifer or will it tear them apart?
I obtained this book for free from Amazon back in September and purchased the other two books in this three book series. I decided not to comment until I had time to read the other two books which I did today.
Jennifer Brooks was working the second shift at the Preminenza Hotel. She decides to play the piano before her shift is over, A man listens to her play the piano before he checks in. He is Philip Haas. She decides to go up to his room with him. It isn't until the next morning that she finds out he owns the hotel. He calls her up to his room and offers her a job as his personal assistant and promises to train her for a managerial position. Having sex with him is part of the job,
I liked the first book but had not time to finish the other two. The story is continued in the last two books. The characters are well described as the settings.
Being a novella it got to the hot and steamy quickly. This is a story about a girl with low self esteem meeting a wealthy man and showing her that she is very much desired. To be honest this is a story that has been told a hundred times. A 27 year old that has had only one lover her whole life and he treated her bad and left her heartbroken. Years later someone comes into her life and changes everything she knows. Of course the EX comes back in to mess up her life again! Storyline: the same Heat: off the charts!
It was an okay read. it was free so I cant really complain. I didnt like how one minute Jennifer is just working then shes off and having sex with this random man in the hotel she just got off at and then starts to work for him while having sex with him. It was short and you dont really know anything much about Phillip and then her ex comes back. After being mean and controlling she wants to take him back? I will only read it if its .99 cents. I am curious to see how it ends even though I believe that the phone call at the end of the book was his wife.

This book had its faults the main one being that it justs ends but until this point I was really enjoying it, yes you could argue that it contains nothing new this has been done time and time again but I liked it and that's the main thing, giving this book three stars is a lot for me since it short, ends abruptly and doesn't have that much depth but being honest I want to find out what happens, ok I suppose we ultimately know what happens but .... Also does it bother anyone else that the guy on the cover has dark hair not fair
I really enjoyed this short story. I got the first one free and purchased the second one for $2.99. I feel that with these being SOOO short $2.99 is entirely too much money for these books. I think all 3 novellas should have been combined to make one book not 3. I really want to see how this all ends but again I am not paying $2.99.
Entreteve apenas.
A good read but I am fed up of Authors splitting short novels into small parts. I feel conned everytime I get to 100% and the story simply finishes unless you want to pay out for the next part and I refuse to do so anymore. Would have been a 4 star rating from me if it was complete.
Bor-ing. I skimmed through most of this book just to read the conversations. It was very slow. No big problems. No love connection. I don't know. I wouldn't recommend this.
I like this book. Bit disappointed by the abrupt ending when the story is getting really good. I just hope that the next book (Fall into her) is the continuation please.
