BOY, I sure am glad that this book was offered to me for reading and reviewing.
I fell for this book right away. What captured me the most were the hero, Lucas Masterson, and the heroine, Rebecca Chase. These two characters were FANTASTIC right from the beginning and I feel this is where Ashley Piscitelli’s talent really shined!
Once again I found myself reading a book where the hero is every woman’s dream; SEXY, HOT, giving, caring, loving and tender. Let’s not forget he’s a rock star. So, yes, that means that he’s been a total man-whore. But, once he sets his sights on Becca, she is the only woman he thinks about or wants... *sigh*……………
I also LOVED Rebecca. She was the perfect match for Luke. She was not some vain woman who just spread her legs and wanted to benefit from the fact that Luke is a rich rock star.
These two hit it off immediately, and they slowly got to know one another before taking it to the next level in their relationship. This made the sexual tension VERY high throughout the book. By the time they finally took the next step and became intimate, I was just about to have an orgasm myself. After the first time they made love, Luke could NOT keep his hands of off her. The loves scene were fast, hard, furious and very frequent, making the story a total SCORCHER of a read! There were quite a few things that Luke said to Becca throughout the book that stole my heart.
“You are so fucking gorgeous that I can’t keep my hands off of you. I need you every minute of every day, and even then it isn’t enough to silence my hunger for you.” I run my hands down her wet body, enjoying every inch of every curve. “You Rebecca Chase, have been the only woman to ever make me want more. I know that my past may make you insecure, but I just want you to understand that none of them can EVER measure up to you.”
“I promise you that no one will EVER touch you again. Not only that, but know that I will NEVER let anyone manipulate me and come between us again. I love you, Rebecca Chase, and I am NEVER letting you go again.”
There were also a few villains that tried very hard to break them up. Near the end of the book, two of these people joined forces and almost succeeded in breaking Becca and Luke up. This part of the story was very emotional for me. I sure was glad when Luke, with the help of his sister, finally realized that he needed to give Becca a chance to explain what really happened.
There is one thing that kind of bugged me. While I LOVE having a picture of the H&h on the cover, the picture on this cover does not match up with the description used in the book for the heroine. It did not make me rate this book any lower, but I felt I should mention this.
I have to admit, that if I’d have known before I decided to read this book that it was a continuing story, I might not have decided to accept it. I am very invested in the story line and characters now, and book 2 will be a MUST read!

After I finished Surrender to Me, I was unsure how I should rate it. I enjoyed the story but there were some things that bugged me about it. Let me first tell you what I liked. The writing style and the storyline were really good. Surrender to Me has plenty of angst and I absolutely love angst! It wasn't over the top angst though, it was really believable drama that I could see happening with a rock star. I really liked the characters, well except for Samantha, that bitch was cray cray!
What didn't work for me. The instant love connection. That is one thing that really bugs me in books, one meeting and you can't live without the other. I need more than a couple interactions to determine love. I felt there needed to be more interactions between Rebecca and Luke, more heart to heart moments or just getting to know each other better.
I am giving Surrender to Me 3.5 stars, because the story was enjoyable and had angst. And I absolutely LOVE the cover!! And I'm a strong believer that just because a book doesn't' work for me doesn't mean it won't for you. If you can handle the insta-love it's really a good book!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I have been tossing back and forth on this review for a couple of days and how I want to approach it.
I think that the story line was good. I really do. I think with a little more work that this could be an absolutely amazing book.
Becca is very likable, as is Lucas. They meet in a parking lot, Becca has no idea who Mr Rock Star is, and that had to be refreshing for Lucas. Their relationship is kind of a whirlwind romance that sweeps both of them off of their feet and into a world of love. There are some antagonists that try to come between them. There is some excellent drama at the end, where we really are not sure what is going to happen to our couple.
The thing that I wish for this book, because I really think that it has a lot of good going for it, is that it had a bit more ….oomph. Let me try to explain. To me it kind of read like a book for someone young but with sex scenes. It just was not overly complex.
I think I just wanted more. More depth to the characters because I liked them, more depth to the scenes because I can really see so much potential here.
That was really hard for me to write because I know how much time authors spend on their babies and I really hope it is looked at as the constructive criticism that it is meant to be.

Rating Clarification : 4.5 Stars
This is the third book by Ashley that I have read and again I wasn't disappointed in it. I really enjoyed this book. I will say that I was intrigued with this book when I read the synopsis. I am sucker for a Rocker love story. I know what you are thinking….rock star love story means lots of women, drugs, drinking and partying. Well this book was different. I love that she created a character like Luke who wasn't all about the extras that come with a life in the limelight. I thoroughly enjoyed this book because I have come to realize I am a hopeless romantic. I know some people will be put off by the fact that this book is a insta-love situation, but I guess that's what make me a hopeless romantic because I didn't have a problem with it. I was glad to see that the author didn't rush the physical part of Luke and Becca's relationship. She actually had them take it slow so they could gain the trust and bond that a couple needs to have before going into a physical relationship. My only complaint and why it wasn't a 5 star read for me was because of the length of the book. I wish it would've been longer. I know there is another book coming for Luke and Becca so I guess that makes things easier for me to deal with. I guess in a way I thought that the author could've expanded on some things that I thought were glossed over, just given us a little more detail. But again that didn't deter me from really loving this story.
I LOVED Luke's character. Not only was he a swoony rock star but he was down to earth as well and really just loved being in the music industry for the music. He didn't need all the extra benefits to make him happy. He is though, like some other heroes out there, in that, he has some major trust issues. Being in the business he has been in he has had many people lie, steal and cheat to get what they want. So to say he is a little hesitant when it comes to Becca, it makes sense. I also liked that he is a family man, even though his family isn't a huge part of this story, you could still feel the connection between his parents and his sister. As for Becca….I liked her character because in her own way she was a very strong girl who knew what she wanted out of life and was not going to let anything or anyone stop her from getting it. I did find her a little naive when certain things happen with another character. I wanted to slap her and tell her to wake up, but I guess then we wouldn't have had the drama in this book. Although I'm not sure if she was all that naive or more just too trusting. She always wanted to see the good in people even when they didn't deserve it. I also liked this story because it showed that even though Becca and Luke come from two completely different worlds, opposites do still attract and can build a life together.
As for secondary characters, I loved Jen ( and not because I have the same name ;) ) I just loved her spunk and attitude. She was a great friend to Becca. She offered up advice when Becca needed it and didn't judge her for what she didn't have. I loved her loyalty to Becca.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a swoony rock star who falls for the sweet and trusting good girl. This book made me laugh in more then one place because of the great banter between characters, but it also had me blushing, swooning, getting pissed and falling in love with Becca and Luke. This book had a little bit of everything. Yes there is some drama towards the end of the book but it is corrected pretty quickly. This book has a Happy For Now ending, but with a To Be Continued ending as well. I don't feel that this book is one that you need to wait for the next book to come out before you read it. It ends in a good place, you just know there is more to come.
Rebecca Chase isn’t your typical kind of girl, she doesn’t have any interest in dating nor relationships, she doesn’t keep up with the latest celebrity gossip. She works two jobs to afford school, her car, and cell phone. Her goals in life are to get her college degree and get away from her house and her mother. Rebecca’s mother is a drunk and basically catatonic, it started when her husband left, Rebecca was seven at the time. Rebecca avoided friends and dates because she never wanted anyone to see what her family life was really like. The one constant person in her life is Jen her best friend since before her dad left, Jen is the only person Rebecca trusts. Rebecca basically had to take care of herself and grow up pretty fast, she had to learn to pay bills, grocery shop and have enough money left to purchase alcohol for her mother.
Lucas Materson is the hot rock star, he has money, fame, and his dream job. He knows when people he meets they have a tendency to use him to get what they want. He’s not the type of guy to take girls on dates or give out his phone number, his relationships consist of mostly sex. He’s also not your typical rock star he doesn’t do drug’s or drink.
Lucas meets Rebecca in a parking lot when his car battery dies, he needs a jump and she’s the only person around to help him. Of course she agrees to help him out she has no clue who he is, Lucas is quite surprised when he realizes she doesn’t recognize him. He can tell right away there is something different about her, she isn’t the normal groupie he would pick up and discard a couple of hours later. There’s something drawing him to her and he’s determined to find out what it is. He feels something for her she’s completely different than other girl, she has that innocent look and she’s beautiful. He decides to take her to dinner to thank her for helping him out, she’s reluctant at first but he persuades her to go.
Jesus Christ, this man oozes sex and deliciousness.
What happens when Rebecca discovers who her “Luke” turns out to be the famous rock star Lucas Materson, will she still able to pursue her relationship with him?
To her, I wasn’t Lucas Materson the celebrity, I was just a guy in a parking lot trying to get a date with her. I can only hope that won’t change now that she knows who I am.
What’s a romance story without there being someone who wants to come between that and destroy your happiness, for Lucas that person is his rival Jackson. Jackson knows Rebecca is shy and he preys on her weakness and tries to come between the two. When it does happen it will leave Rebecca totally devastated and my heart broke for her at this point.
Can two people who come from completely different worlds make a relationship work?
Surrender to Me kept me interested throughout the entire book, not only was the sex hot between Lucas and Rebecca there’s a lot of it, you will also lean more about Rebecca’s home life.
I’m interested to see where the relationship for Lucas and Rebecca will go from here, in their next sequel/follow up. I’m hoping they finally get the happy ending they deserve, because we are all a sucker for one.
This isn’t what I planned on happening when we came in here Becca, but I can’t resist you. I’m going to warn you, though that this we be quick, not only because we need to leave, but because you have me so damn wound up.
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Rebecca Chase meets Lucas Materson in a parking lot of a liquor store, he is having car trouble, and he asks her if she can help jump-start his car. There is an instance attraction between the two. Lucas feels that there is something different about Becca, and he persuades her to go on go a date with him the next day. Becca not up with celebrity gossip doesn’t know whom Lucas is Becca is shocked when she end up at a concert that night with her best friend Jen and see Lucas up on stage.
Becca is a quiet independent normal girl. She is not into dating or relationship. All she wants is to get it her college degree, and leave home. I did fine Rebecca frustrating at times as I felt she was a little naïve, a little to trusting. Lucas is a rock star who has it all his dream job, fame and money. He has some trust issues, as he knows people may use him to get what they want, because of who he is.
“To her, I wasn’t Lucas Materson the celebrity; I was just a guy in a parking lot trying to get a date with her. I can only hope that won’t change now that she knows who I am”
Rebecca and Lucas were a cute couple; they are feeling things they have never felt before, the chemistry is intense thus resulting in plenty of steamy scenes. The way Lucas is with Becca, and the way he doesn’t hold back in telling her his true feelings I thought was sweet. But that being said I did feel that their relationship was rushed, felt a bit forced at times. It was a bit too insta love for me.
The storyline told from Becca and Lucas’s POV about two people from very different world who fall in love. It not all-smooth sailing as drama, insecurities, self-doubt, jealousy, and secrets get in the way. I like the storyline I just wish it had been longer as to me some parts were rushed, and had it of been of been longer these parts could have been developed more. There were times that I felt I was being told rather than shown what was happening.
Surrender To Me It was a sweet romantic easy read. Secondary character such as Jen added some humor to the story; she was a great friend, and support for Becca giving her some great and funny advice, the texts between the two made me laugh.
Overall even though this book was fast paced I did like. The ending you could say was sort of happy one as there wasn't a cliffhanger, but it was one that also lets you know that Becca and Lucas story will be continued. I will certainly read the next book, as I’m curious to see what happens next.
“He’s going to be my undoing, the one person that can crack me open, and make me surrender all of myself to him.”~ Becca
“I’m not usually a sucker for the shy girls, but this one has something…. different”~ Lucas
I don’t know why this thing is so hard for me I want Luke; every time he touches me it’s like my whole body is on fire.” ~ Becca
“After our first date, I knew she was the one to make me change my ways, and since then I haven’t been able to control myself around her; she fills the empty place in my sole that I’ve harbored for so long” ~ Lucas
“If you really feel a connection with this girl, then go for it and screw anyone who has a problem with it” ~ Lucas’s dad
“I know you aren’t used to people taking care of you, but you’d better get used to it with me. I take care of what’s mine, and you Rebecca chase, are mine” ~ Lucas
A couple months ago I was given a sneak peak into this novel before it was finished and I was extremely excited to read the rest of it because I loved the direction it was going in. Now having completed it, I'm kind of torn on how I feel. The story line was great and has tons of potential but it just needs a little more refining.
In Surrender To Me we're introduced to Rebecca and Lucas as they first meet in the parking lot of a liquor store. Lucas is having a bit of car trouble causing him to run late for his show, so basically his fate is in the hands of a good samaritan, assuming one will stop and help him.
Enter Rebecca. When a stranger wearing a baseball hat approaches you in a liquor store parking lot your natural reaction should be to run far and fast, which is what Becca is leaning towards until said stranger removes his hat and shows just how much of a hottie he is! So she's a little more inclined to help him out and ends up accepting a date offer, completely unaware of his super star status.
Later that night Becca finds out exactly who Lucas is and immediately has second thoughts of pursuing anything more with him. After all they come from two different worlds with all the odds stacked against them, so how could it possibly work?! That is where the fun begins. They instantly hit it off and Becca becomes submersed in Lucas' world realizing that fighting her feelings for him is pretty much pointless.
While I felt like the relationship between Becca and Lucas was a bit rushed it was still believable because their chemistry was so intense. I've read Ashley's other books from the Guarded Hearts series so I'm familiar with her writing style, but I was still pleasantly surprised with the tone of this book and that it wasn't "over sexed". However, that quickly changed as the story line was sacrificed about halfway through and the sex scenes took over. I don't mind steaminess at all, the smuttier the better but I just feel like this story was really going somewhere and I was completely invested but then I just lost interest once it became all about the sex.
There are definitely plenty of twists & turns and lots of drama in this story to keep you entertained. It's a fast paced read that you'll be able to finish in one sitting, which I did. The ending could use a bit more work. It was very abrupt and felt kind of rushed. I kept swiping the screen looking for the next page, but that was it. It's definitely not a cliffhanger so you don't have to worry about that, it's more of a HEA but an extremely rushed one. My interest is piqued enough to continue with the series.
Rebecca and Lucas couldn’t be more opposites, and you know what they say about opposites…they seem to attract, and in this case, boy do they ever! This is a sweet love story about a down to earth kind of girl and a famous hottie rocker. When their worlds collide, it’s a battle to find a common ground, and I think they do just that!
Rebecca is a somewhat shy girl, who keeps to herself. Doesn’t date, has no real concept of celebrity gossip, and is very naïve of the world around her. She pretty much works non-stop to support herself, and has been doing so for a long time. Her mother, needless to say, isn’t a bundle of joy or support, and Rebecca has therefore taken on the role of caretaker to her also. She has one friend, Jen, who’s been there for her and seen the tragic home life she’s lead for so many years. I honestly think if it weren’t for Jen, she most likely would’ve cracked under the pressure of life itself.
Lucas is a famous rock star, with money and women falling to his feet. He knows they’re mostly with him for the benefits, and therefore doesn’t get too close to anyone. He has a rep of a womanizer, but little do people know, deep down he’s a good guy that just wants to be with someone who accepts him for who he really is.
Lucas and Rebecca run into each other one night in a parking lot, when his car battery dies. He convinces her to help him and is dumbfounded when she has no clue who he is, which fascinates him completely. He realizes there’s something special about her, and needs to find out more about this seemingly sweet and innocent girl. He persuades her to go on a date with him, and she accepts, but talking with Jen, she finds out the truth of who he is. The wheels start turning, and she feels insecure and starts to wonder why a famous rock star would want a small town girl like herself.
I think it’s totally sweet how Lucas begins to show her how much he wants to be with her, no matter her self-doubt. But like any love story, there’s always a roadblock. This roadblock would be none other than Lucas’s rival, Jackson. Jackson knows he can easily twist Rebecca’s innocent mind, and takes full advantage of that. Will Lucas and Rebecca get their HEA and make it through all the twists and turns of having such opposite lives? I sure hope so, and not to mention the scorching sex between these two…good god! Can’t wait for this story to continue and see what happens with everyone involved, especially our two lovebirds!
I give Surrender To Me 4 sweet and innocent stars!
They say opposites attract and sometimes the stars align just right… well something was definitely working here. Rebecca is sweet and caring. She is down to earth and humble. She does not have a easy life at all. She works for what she has and struggles. Her Mom is not exactly Mom of the year and this lovely girl is trying her best to make her life better. Now let’s talk rock star.. super star….packed crowds and amphitheaters. One fateful meeting in the parking lot and life changes. Lucas had it all, has it all but he is missing the one thing she seems to give him. Can two people from completely opposite worlds find a way to make a world together work?
Our lovely Rebecca is shy and very insecure. She does not want to be a one night stand, she does not know if she is in over her head here. Jen her adorable and sweet friend honestly is the only ray of light in her someone bleak world, until Lucas crashed into with a force. Why would a guy who can have anyone want her? She of course needs to get past her insecurities. Can she trust this, can she trust him?
Lucas has been known for his ways with women, several women. No strings, no relationships. Tabloids love him! Oh and did I fail to mention, he is beautiful, gorgeous. Yes well you get the picture. LOL! However he is more, so much more than the next bad storyline, the next one night stand. Underneath it all he is just as insecure as the next.. wants the same things. He wants to be seen for more than the good looking rock star.
The relationship is sweet, has tender moments and some OMG moments. It is not over the top. I did have parts to be honest where I simply rolled my eyes but a lot of it could just be the age. I felt some parts of the storyline could be less and some parts a bit more. I wanted to shake her Mom, and beat the living crap out of a certain man. Holy crud. This ONLY made my total hatred for her mother more. Wow!@*&! We of course have a few people in the book who you want to ring their necks…err Jackson. Yes he is a total douche bag! Read it you will understand his smarmy ways…. Douche bag for sure. Trust me. Although in the end, the guts are there. The love story triumphs over all. It is a sweet and tender story. Will Lucas and Rebecca get a HEA? Can the good girl and rock star make a go of it? Hmmm time will tell I cannot wait to see what happens with the pair next. Sweet and a bit of sexy-sexy in a fun fast read. 4 Kisses
Becca has no interest in meeting guys, all her life she has been judged by the actions of her mother and refuses to add to what people already believe to be true. That is until she lends a hot guy a hand and agrees to go out with him on a date. When she learns that he just isn’t some random guy, but a rockstar she isn’t sure if she should try to pursue anything with him. She knows that what she feels for Luke is unlike anything else she’s ever felt before. Can he be the one to break through her walls and own her heart?
Lucas can’t believe his luck when the girl who helps him out doesn’t realize who he is at first and agrees to go out with him. She is everything he never knew he wanted, because let’s face it he has money, fame and no shortage of willing women. She is special and he knows it from the minute he meet sher. He is living out his dream of being a rockstar, but when that dream changes to include Becca will they be able to make it work or will their different lifestyles get in the way?
Becca and Luke moved quickly into their relationship, after one date they begin to spend all their time together. Becca is uncomfortable at times with Luke taking care of her and tends to fight it when sometimes it was ridiculous to even do so. Becca had serious trust issues when it comes to men, she hasn’t seen the good side to them thanks to how her mom earned the reputation that she has. Luke was patient with Becca, he wanted her to be in his life and knew it from the first date. For him, she is something special, something worth treasuring because she isn’t with him just for his fortune and fame. Other people in their lives try to sabotage their relationship, but when they finally succeed in doing so I was pissed at Luke’s reaction and how Becca was as well.
Surrender to Me was a quick enjoyable read, I liked it. I really wish that it had been longer so that it didn’t seem so rushed at times and that Luke and Becca’s relationship could have been further developed and more solid. Sadly, for me it fell into the same rut of rockstar meets girl, wants girl, quickly develops relationship with girl, is an asshole to girl, then makes it up to girl and everything is ok. That being said, I still really enjoyed it and want to continue reading about Luke and Becca in the next book.
This book wasn’t your normal rock star story. At least to me it wasn’t. Becca and Luke meet in the parking lot of a liquor store. She’s getting her mom her nightly fix and as she’s leaving, he asks if she could jump off his car because the battery is dead. She has no clue who he is, not that she would anyway but still. As a thank you he wants to take her to dinner. Albeit reluctantly, she accepts the date for the following night.
Just as Becca is heading home her best friend, Jen, calls and says she won tickets to the concert that night and Jen wants her to go with her. Once at the concert Jen heads to the bathroom and buys Becca a t-shirt with the lead singer’s face on it. Low and behold, it’s Luke staring back at her! Stunned and speechless is a good way to describe her feelings at this point. And as she’s telling Jen the story, she sees Luke on stage. Stunned is also a good way to describe Luke. Certain she had no idea who he was, he decides he’ll get it figured out on their date. That is, if she still wants to go.
From their date and on, things just fall into place for them. There is chemistry as well as genuine feelings for each other. There are a few people that aren’t too happy with Luke taking a liking to Becca but he pretty much tells him they can stick their feelings where the sun don’t shine.
And what I meant about it not being the normal rock star story…Luke doesn’t seem to be a big partier, girls weren’t trying to hang all over him, except for one and you’ll meet her once you read the book. He calls his dad for advice and has a great relationship with most everyone around. I loved that he was fiercely protective of Becca and wanted to give her anything she wanted or needed. What I liked about Becca? She wanted something better for her life and she was working towards that, all on her own. She argued with Luke every time he wanted to buy her something and she stood her ground about not moving too fast.
Even with all this, I still felt the formula was familiar and seemed to know where the story was going before we got there. I liked it but didn’t love it. I know everyone’s opinion is different, and this is just mine. So definitely make the decision for yourself. If you like a hot rock star romance, then you’ll enjoy Surrender to Me.
I think everyone that knows me knows that I am a big groupie when it comes to rocker books and this one didn’t disappoint me in the least. Lucas is one hot rock star and pure sex on a stick!!
Lucas and Rebecca meet in an odd situation and surprising to him she doesn’t even know him. He is mesmerized by her and already feels that she is like no one else he has ever seen. He is also shocked and has a blow to his ego that any girl wouldn’t know who he is. When her friend, Jen, wins tickets to his concert, she soon finds out who he is and sparks soon fly.
I love their relationship and how special their love is. I mean Rebecca is so humble and comes from such a sad life of living with her mom who is practically non-existent in her life. She has done without her entire life and has had to work for everything she has gotten. When Lucas tries to do for her, he sees she is not the typical woman who will take anything she can get from him.
Their relationship progresses quickly and really that is the only problem I have with this book. I mean, I am an old softie and believe in love at first sight but after a week, it just seemed a little much for me. But then again with a guy like Luke, I think it would be hard not to fall for him.
“I know we haven’t been together long, and this might sound crazy, but I think I’m falling in love with you. I would do anything to protect you and keep you safe.” – Lucas
And that is what he does. When things happen from both his and her lives that threaten their relationship, he will stop at nothing to save her. But will he make it in time? Believe me, he could save me any day!!
I love how she grows from being so naïve to learning things in life aren’t quite what they seem. Her love for him is so tender and sweet, but yet their passion is hot!!
“When you’re around I feel happier and when I’m in your arms I feel like nothing can touch me. You are my safe haven, the place that I never want to leave.” – Rebecca
Like I said, I really enjoyed this book and I couldn’t put it down until I finished. It progressed quickly and left me quickly falling for Luke. I can’t wait to read more of their story and I sure hope I don’t have to wait long!!
Okay! So first off let me start by saying that I had NO idea that this book was part of a series….DAMN ME! I never look these things up before I sign up to review them!!
This book was a nice change in pace for me. I’ve been reading some seriously heavy stuff lately, and this book was a totally cute little story.
Becca, is a girl who comes from basically nothing. Her dad left a few years back, and then died shortly after, and after that, her mom basically went catatonic. Using alcohol, drugs, and sex to fill the void her husband created by leaving, Becca’s mom becomes an absentee mother, leaving Becca to fend for herself.
Off to the liquor store to buy her moms daily dose of alcohol, Becca run’s into a man named Lucas, in the parking lot who’s having some car trouble. She agrees to help him jump his car, as well as go on a date with him. What she doesn’t know however, is that Lucas is a world famous singer in a band.
These two develop a relationship really quickly. I’m a fan of a quick read with a good love story, but this was a little too insta love for me. Don’t get me wrong, I still loved the story and will definitely be reading the second book in this series when it comes out.
Lucas is, of course, absolutely amazing. He’s perfect in absolutely every way. Attentive, sexy, funny, sexy, amazingly sweet, and with the voice I wouldn’t mind listening too everyday…did I mention sexy? Anyhoo, he’s pretty damn fantastic, and I wouldn’t mind having one of him.
Becca and Luke face some pretty tough stuff in their short relationship together, and while I have absolutely NO idea what it’d be like to date a rockstar (insert sad face here) I found myself believing that the issues they faced, while Becca was on tour with Luke, were pretty realistic.
Overall, this story was pretty good, and she’s definitely got me interested in what’s going to happen next in their story!
The storyline to Surrender To Me was cute. Superstar Luke was stranded outside of a store before a show, right before he was about to call his manager for help, unassuming Becca pulled up and was about to head in but Lucas asks for a jump. He’s very intrigued by Becca, probably because she doesn’t know who he is, so he asks her out on a date. Lucas Masterson sleeps around, he doesn’t really date so where is this coming from?
Becca’s best friend Jen wins 2nd row tickets to some concert that night and drags Becca with her. When Jen buys her a t-shirt at the venue and sees Luke’s face on it, Becca has a mini freak-out and is about to cancel on this date. Luke’s already made reservations and is ready… until he sees Becca’s face in the audience. So now she has to know who he is and will that prevent her from going out with him?
With a week off from the tour, Luke decides to stay in town with Becca, they hang out and do random things around town but when the week is over, what will happen? Becca is an innocent and isn’t Lucas’ usual type but something in him wants to see where this can lead. Would she go on tour with him?
Lucas is such a super sweetheart but also a hot alpha – and he can sing so what’s there not to like?? His manager and other tour acts do not like Luke and Becca together so that makes for some good drama! With people getting in the way, what will happen with Becca and Lucas’ relationship? Will trust and love win out?
They have off the charts chemistry, super steamy sex scenes but also sweet, romantic moments that just make you swoon for Lucas Masterson! Great story and super excited to see what’s next for them!
Okay, let me start by saying what bothered my with this book. I felt it was missing depth. Maybe that is the wrong word, because it wasn't a shallow book and neither were the characters. Maybe its best to say I wanted more. More details. More information. Dare I say, more of their relationship, more of her mom? I felt like we built up to this relationship where Becca is so insecure and Luke is always reassuring her, but it was never called into question. His insecurities were used against him, but really that's it. She always talks about the paparazzi and how they scare her, but nothing else happened. No mentions of her in the press, they don't mention what she wears, nothing. So it's like so much is touched on, but nothing was really delved into. Except his trust issues. Now that is a totally different ball game. Okay, don't go throwing tomatoes at me.. I did like the book, I just wanted the issues to be discussed more in depth. So let's talk about the good stuff.. Luke and Becca are sexy as hell. I love that Becca made him wait, made him almost prove she was different. And I love that he did. That he didn't pressure her. The boy knows how to handle himself. . and by handle himself, I mean screw like a god! He also loves her curves and her non-size zero body and broke ass. I totally love that. I just wish that their love could have held back his insecurities. That he wouldn't have flipped like he did when he saw what he saw. That he would have trusted their love, trusted her. I just wanted to punch both of his tour mates for what they did. Jealous poopheads. Yeah, I said it. Gah! They were so frustrating. And Becca, I just wanted to shake her! Stop trusting everyone! Lord have mercy woman!! All in all I did really like this book, I wish we didn't have to wait for another book. Like I said, I just wanted more. More of an ending.

***Tara, #NerdGirlTallulah’s Review***
I have kind of mixed feelings about Surrender to Me. Whilst I did really enjoy it, there wasn’t really much that made it stand out from every other rock star romance that I’ve read before.
One thing that was refreshing, was that even though he is this major hotshot rockstar, Lucas wasn’t a massive drinker, never did any drugs and did his best to stay out of the public eye – he isn’t a drama king, looking for fame wherever he can.
To me, Surrender to Me, was your typical ‘hot, rich famous guy saves the poor, shy virgin,’ kind of read.
However, it did have its redeeming points: Luke and Becca were both highly likeable characters – sweet, funny and VERY sexy! The chemistry between them is amazing! There is A LOT of sex in the book, but it never felt repetitive or boring – I was totally caught up in the passion with them!
There were a few different dimensions to the story: The romance between Luke and Becca,Luke’s jealousy, the rivalry between Luke and Jackson that Becca gets caught up in, and Becca’s home-life, All are explored well and definitely bring more of a balance to the book between all of the H.O.T scenes!
Although it didn’t WOW me, Surrender to Me kept me interested throughout, and I am very curious to see where Luke and Becca end up, in their sequel/follow up story!

Celebrity rock star, Lucas Masterson has it all. But is missing one thing. He finds that in Rebecca (Becca) Chase one day in a parking lot. He has car trouble and she does not hesitate to help. Lucas is drawn to Becca immediately. What he finds even more intriguing about her is that, she doesn't realize who he is, or perhaps she does and does not care.
Lucas and Becca end up on a date and sparks fly. This intense, passionate couple fall for each other rather quickly. While some may not like insta-love, including myself, I found this to be believable. Can we really put a time frame on feelings and love? Not where it concerns Lucas and Becca. They had a lot of chemistry and their lives made so much more sense as they were together. Being a rock star has its pros and cons, especially when trying to have a relationship. The past comes back to haunt both Lucas and Becca. It is insistent on keeping them apart. However, what Lucas and Becca have is real and undeniable, so they fight for each other. They fight for their love as they surrender to their feelings.
I found this to be an enjoyable story. I will definitely be reading the next, as I feel that Lucas and Becca's story is far from over. There is so much more to find out about the two of them. So much more love to be shared and explored. I look forward to the continuation. If you are looking for a steamy fast paced romance, then this is for you.
I loved this book. Why then the 4 stars you may be wondering!! It was purely that on occasions the writing style came across a bit wooden. I didn't feel this way the whole time but a prime example of this was the beginning of the book and the dialogue between the two leads, Lucas and Rebecca.
Now for the story. This is all about what happens when a rock star meets a girl who has no idea of who he is in a car park. That is until her friend wins tickets to his concert that night! Having agreed to go on a date with him before finding out his identity Becca goes out with him, has a great time and ends up spending the week with him, but not getting intimate as she is a virgin. She agrees to go on the tour with him but will their relationship survive two people who seem intent on splitting them up for their own purposes.
The two characters were really likeable and you had to remind yourself that Lucas was infact a rock star as he really did not act like one. I loved Becca's friend Jen and would have loved to see Lucas' reaction to his birthday present!
All in all a great book and I look forward to reading more of their story. Yes there is going to be another book and with the situation with Jackson (a rival singer of Lucas') left how it was it could be interesting! That is all I will say on that, sorry.
Please note I was given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Oh I have a soft spot for hot Rocker books and this one did not disappoint. I was glued to my tablet from the very beginning and read this in one sitting. Great characters and a really good storyline came together for an awesome read!
Luke is not your typical Rocker stereotype. He’s sexy as hell but he’s not into drugs or drinking. He only puts up with all the negative so he can continue his music for himself and his fans. He’s seriously protective, caring, and occasionally shows some alpha male tendencies. However, he’s also used to only trusting a few people (mainly family) so in some ways he’s insecure. Becca is insecure but in a different way. She has a worthless mother and barely scrapes by. She’s a survivor and has an inner strength that only grows after she gets together with Luke. These two have an instant spark and are a great couple even though they both have insecurities to work on.
I really liked the 2 main characters and they felt like genuine people. Even the “bad people” in the story were well written and totally made me want to strangle them. The story was fast paced but I still think it flowed well and kept me on my toes. I can’t wait to read the next installment. Great story and I’m giving this a 5 out of 5 stars!
A successful rock star meets a regular girl who has not idea that he is famous. He asks her out, she says yes only to find out later he is the superstar. The couple spends a week together and realizes they have feelings. All that and some drama made it a nice read. The problem I had is that some of the verbiage felt forced and awkward at times. There were points in the book that I felt like the story was told to me rather than allowing me to experience it. The story was written in dual POVs. The switch in POVs came too often. By the time I got used to one character’s view of what was going on, there was a switch. I think with regards to this book it would have been better to stay with one character’s POV and just add a chapter or two of the other character’s POV in the middle or end of the book. The hero and heroine were two people who had outside forces trying to separate them. They were an unlikely pair which made it all the more interesting of a story. You wanted nothing but good things to happen to them. A copy was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Becca and Lucas are from completely different worlds. She has dreams of finishing college and getting as far away from her drunk mother as possible. Lucas is already living his dreams. He is a famous rock star with a surprisingly good head on his shoulders. His biggest problem is knowing who to trust. Everyone wants something from him. When these two meet in a gas station parking lot the attraction is instant. The fact that Becca has no idea who Lucas is just makes it that much better!
A whirlwind romance sweeps these two off their feet and the reaction of Lucas's crew is not very accepting. Like any new couple these two have their obstaclesTheir trust is tested in a very public atmosphere and right at the beginning of a very intense relationship!
Insta-love is not my favorite but I totally felt it with these two. I had a few "really?" moments, but overall I felt the connection. And, let me just say that Luke and Becca have a HOT connection. Surrender To Me is a great read with a loveable heroine, sexy rockstar, and just enough steam to have you fanning yourself! I can't wait to read more of their story!
My my my, talk about hot and steamy! Don't get me wrong because this isn't all about "that" but man Alexis is a master in getting the reader feel the chemistry.
#InstaLove #Rockstar #RegularGirl
Sounds about my kinda story! I am a sucker for a normal girl getting sweeped of her feet by an alpha male
It was really funny in the beginning when Becca didn't even realize that the guy she was rescueing was a famous rockstar.
From there it is a road to a rollercoaster, whirlwind romance that'll rock your socks off! Luke is so protective over Becca and is so caring - just what she needed to get a break from life and be a carefree young woman for once.
Oh and Jen, Becca's bff is hilarious - definitely counts for some freakishly funny moments! ;)
Do not let me fool you though! It is hot and swoonworthy but it ain't going to be easy... Either way, you'll love their story and will be knocking on Alexis her 'door' begging for the sequel!

For my very first book by Alexis Noelle, I gotta say it was fabulous! The writing was great, the storyline real and relateable, and the characters fun and and energizing.
I have seen other reviews talking about “insta love” and all that, but for me…I didn’t see it. I thought their love story had a great build up. Luke is super sexy, and for a Rockstar such a sweetheart! You also get to see his alpha side, which leads to some steamy sex scenes!!! I also love how as the book progressed Becca broke out of her she’ll more and more!
There were some twists and turns, but I think this is a story all romance readers will enjoy!!! Congrats, Alexis on an incredible job well done!
What a freaking good book! I loved everything about it! I loved the fact that the rock star wasn't some druggie and alcoholic. I really thought that's where it was going but no! It was a good surprise! And I loved how the girl wasn't just some girl that slept around and was a groupie. I enjoyed the characters and how they were together. I also wanted to punch Jackson and Samantha in their faces. lol
