Blake Thomas knows exactly why women want to sleep with him. He’s a sexy, twenty-six-year-old bartender with nothing to lose and confidence to spare.
Then Blake meets twenty-two-year-old Lia Smart, the owner of the restaurant where he’s just been hired. Lia is different from Blake’s usual conquests. She’s beautiful, shy, and guarded, with just a hint of loneliness in her eyes. The only problem is, Lia refuses to see Blake as anything more than just a flirtatious bartender.
But everything changes when Lia’s sexy and assertive older sister, Alex, comes back into town. Alex and Lia have always had a complicated relationship, made even more complicated by the fact that they are clearly in love with the same man. Before long, Blake finds himself the pawn in a high stakes game of forbidden love and dangerous emotions, caught between two sisters who could both easily break his heart.

CAUGHT UP IN YOU is a companion novella to be enjoyed before or after reading OUT FROM UNDER YOU, or as a stand-alone story.
Sophie Swift is an East Coast girl who recently transplanted to Southern California. She writes about sexy boys by day, and dates them by night. Her sizzling, new adult romance, OUT FROM UNDER YOU, the first in a new contemporary series, is available NOW! She loves books that quicken her pace, music sung by adolescent boys, and cupcakes with too much frosting.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading Caught Up in You, book 1.5 of the Smart Girls Finish First series by Sophie Swift. I'll start off by saying I don't think this novella should be read as a stand alone and go from there. I went in with the preconceived idea that the story would be told from alternating points of view much like Out From Under You, but this is Blake’s story alone to tell.
A couple of things really ended up surprising the hell out of me. Number one being that Blake actually thought he might be in love with Lia. Say what? He came across as a complete player the first go around but the more his thoughts are laid out, the more it’s obvious he’s both a player and a man that harbors some pretty strong feelings for Lia. This had a surprising effect on the rest of the story for me because the Lia love came out of left field. The second big surprise was just how huge a whiny, needy bitch Alex really was. Yes, I knew she was a selfish sister from the get go but just…WOW!
No! Fuck that. This girl was a manipulative bitch. She played with your emotions. And your cock. She knew just how to tug at you to get you hard, and just how to tug at you to get you soft.
As much as I enjoyed this, I’m still not quite sure why it was written. I’m hoping it means we’ll get to see Blake end up with the Smart girl hottie/cousin he’s introduced to in this book but I haven’t seen that story listed yet. And I’m all for reading an Alex Smart story, but I’ll say from the get go I’m going to need an awful lot of Alex getting the crap smacked out of her, preferably by girls she’s somehow managed to fuck over. She’s a completely unlikeable character but I would read her story just to see her get knocked down a peg or two. Did I mention I think Alex’s a bitch? Just checking.
Alex fucked Blake 100 times, then Blake lets her go because he was in love with Lia.
In the meantime, Grayson leaves Alex to confess his never dying love to Lia.
They are together now, running the restaurant together with G being the chef. Successful business.
Blake now works at Hank's and he is bartending when a beautiful woman enters and it turns out she came from London to help her cousin.-... Blake offers her a sightseeing tour...
then Lia enters the bar and it turns out she is the cousin of Emma....
Another Smart..
Blood-related to this fucked up family.
Blake could not wish for worse.

I'm so glad the author decided to write a book for Blake. I really liked him in Out From Under You but wished there was more for him in this book. I just kept thinking, poor Blake!!! He totally deserves a happy ending. I really, really hope he gets one. If and when he does, that book will be mine! :)
This was a short but fun read. I read this after out from under you and thought it answered some questions I had about Alex. I can't wait to see what other books Sophie Swift will write.
