I have spent my career as a writer and editor. And one day, I decided to write a novel. The idea began to tumble around in my mind. I already loved romance novels, but wanted to add an element that would always be in my novels. That’s when I decided to write love stories about creative and free spirits. Because all of us have creativity; all of us have a free spirit, manifesting itself in our cooking and gardening, in how we decorate our homes, in how we make our living, in how we love the people and pets in our lives.
I grew up in a family of artists—painters, musicians, furniture makers, chefs, and writers. The entrepreneurial spirit runs strong in our genes. It was no surprise, then, that I married a Renaissance man, talented in visual arts and music. We are living a creative life.
I was also fortunate to grow up with some great cooks around me—my grandmother, my mother, my stepmother, and our housekeeper. I learned something from each of them about cooking that still influences me to this very day. Most of all, I learned that cooking for others is a loving act.
With all of that in my background, I wrote Love Weaver, a love story about a weaver and a furniture maker. Since then, I've written six more novels. The most recent is The Muse, a story of two artists who fall in love. And I'm still writing, planning to publish number eight! Thank you so much for reading.

I really liked this book. It is a story about love, loss, finding yourself and back to love again. It was well written, the storyline flowed well and I loved the characters in the story.

Marla and Meredith (Merrie) were sisters and best friends. Merrie found out that she had a brain tumor and asked her sister if she could look after her husband Sean once she passed.Merrie made Marla promise and she kept her word to her sister.

Sean was devastated by the loss of his wife. He completely loss his grip on reality it seemed.Sean needed help to just make it through the day and as promised, Marla was there to pick up the pieces for Sean, even though she was also coping with her sisters death.

Sean and Marla realized that they need each other more than they thought and started to develop feelings for each other. In order for Sean to have room in his heart to love Marla, he leaves on a journey to find himself.

This is my first time reading something from this Author and I can tell you that it won't be the last time. This is a must read Novel!

I found the writing of this book to have a very stilted, child-like quality to it. It was very difficult to immerse myself in the book and I realized about half-way through that I was skimming through a lot of it. As well, I had no connection to the characters and the hero was too bland and passive. I think having the POV of the hero may have helped to develop him better.

I think the author has potential and I think the story idea was a good one but she needs to do a better job of connecting readers to the characters and the story, rather than just describing each scene of the book.

A slow burning sad read that really wasn't my cup of tea in the end.

Marla's sister develops a brain tumour, as the end of her life approaches she pleads with her sister to look after her husband once she's gone.

I found the start of the book to be brilliantly heart wrenching, it made me cry and I fully expected the rest of the book to continue in the same way but found myself disappointed. I couldn't really understand the middle of the story, it completely frustrated me and I almost put the book down but I forced myself to carry on.

This was a great story about finding strength and love after losing someone very close to you. Marlas sister Meredith has cancer and her last wish is that she helps Sean ,Meredith husband with her passing. It was an very emotional story at point I thought the worst that there was going to a HEA. Be prepared to cry

This story is bittersweet and laced with emotion. It is well written and the plot flows nicely. The story seems realistic and relatable. This story is a lot about love and forgiveness and dealing with loss and heartache. Good story through and through. The characters seemed very honest and likeable. You can tell the author really wanted what was best for them.

Great love story with a very different twist. A heartwarming and heartbreaking story about how two people deal with and overcome their grief in order to love each other. A very good read.

I am unsure how I feel about this book ... The way that it was written and the way the author describes things kind of threw me off a bit .... I feel like story out line is good but some stuff was way over used like "shrimp" must of been used 100 times ....

Simple love story

I thought the writing was okay, skimmed through lots of the book. Despite that it was easy and quick to read.
