Albert is making muffins, but is having trouble locating the ingredients in their house so he asks his neighbors to share. They kindly do, and Wanda makes sure Albert does something similar after the muffins are done baking.

This story employs a lot of ordinal numbers (first, second, third, etc.) as Albert gathers the ingredients, and then shares the finished muffins. The educational aspect of the story is couched nicely in an engaging story of a mouse a little too willing to let others share, and has a lesson to learn about sharing himself.

This book teaches about math concepts (like first, second, third, etc.) as well as about baking (gathering ingredients and the general baking process). The illustrations and general plotline are cute.

Carline storytime started with a heavy lift from the Mouse Math series, and I had somehow forgotten all about Albert and his adventures until my youngest recently asked for "more mouse books". This one is less about math and more about the meaning of sharing!

Muy bonito, enseña la importancia de ser solidario, empático y principalmente el compartir con los demás.

Albert learns ordinals and makes muffins. I do love this series - lots of plot to cover all all that math. :D
