It is my honor to serve as the first book reviewer for this book on Goodreads. Living where and when they do, these kids are going to have to make their environment work. Recycling and such? That's not a game. Nor is it a hobby for certain children, opt-out for others.
The first-person narration helps to engage readers, and practical instructions follow.
To me, reading this book feels like having an excellent big sister, who can show me what to do. (And this big sister is also an expert, excellent communicator.)
How does this wise young girl reduce? How does she reuse? How does she recycle? Every page here educates us in the reality of how to help our environment.
I love how this book gives us very specific things to do. Sure the sentences here are easy to read, but unlike other picture books I've reviewed lately... the author has something important to say, and says it well. (By all means, contrast this rave review with what I had to say today about a so-called "book" called "A Trip to the Police Station.")
FIVE STARS and gratitude from this Goodreader. And fellow resident of Earth!
