Nakatanim na Granada ang Diyos: Mga Tula

Rate this book

With her second collection, Pananahan, Rebecca Añonuevo has gone beyond the mere feminist politics and has placed what is feminist within the larger context of a Philippine society, its culture and the inner workings of the Filipina psyche. Añonuevo has probed deeper into the tradition, values, and spiritual conditions that prevail and those that for her should remain within the Filipina in the coming millennium. She has also through startling images and expertise in language infused a vibrant vitality and magic that perhaps the reader has not thought possible in Filipino poetry...she takes the Filipino language into a new realm of possibilities.

Ang isa pa ay ang I Sing the Body Electric ni Walt Whitman.

Anyway, basahin niyo 'to. Mura lang sa UST Publishing House. Unang libro sa anonuevo. Haha.

written in a very structured form and it depicts the everyday life of not only the author but most of the Filipinos nowadays. Very personal yet very political. Anyone can relate in the poems in this collection. Ma'am Rebecca Anonuevo is one of the most influential feminist writer for me.
