Be careful what you wish for - that's what romance novelist Dara Hamilton reminds herself when she finds a corpse in her living room. Detective Mace Turner always gets his man, even if that man is a beautiful woman. Pummeled by erotic images planted in his mind by Dara's talent, Mace vows to find the person responsible for murder. Little does he know, that person may be right under his nose.
Honestly, I was slightly disappointed in this book. It did not bring me in the way the other Mia Dymond books does. Don't get me wrong, I love and read all of Mia Dymond's books but this one felt.. okay, just okay.
I felt that the plot was not getting anywhere and even through halfway of the book, they still do not have any idea who the killer is and by the end, I just thought "WTF?!". As for the romance, I didn't feel enough spark between them, although you can see the sexual tension, however, there wasn't that "awww" moment that I was waiting for.
Overall, this one was an 'okay' read. But just because I gave it 2 stars doesn't mean I'll stop being a fan. I LOVE the Seals Inc. series and I can never get enough with that and I hope that the Primrose, Minnesota series would live up to that intensity. We'll just wait and see..
Dara Hamilton is a Mystery Romance writer. Mace Turner is a detective on the Primrose police force.
A scathing review of Dara's newest bestseller has Dara & friends plotting the critic's fictional murder. Only one small problem, said critic is found dead IN Dara's house the same night.
It's like finding a needle in a haystack, between rabid fans & secret admirers. Then there's the many, many fans & authors the critic managed to anger along the way.

Short but sweet. I liked the characters: old & new, primary & secondary. Plot was decent, but "romantically devoted" 's ID was predictable.
OMG!!! Great read for me but I love all your books and have read them all this is funny loving and everything else that goes with it now get the next one out thx girl great read
Men are men in these books but they are pussy cats with their women. Mace is no different. A fun mystery. Love story. Whatever you want to call them. But you will enjoy.
