Times have changed since 1989, the year “Peanut in Charge” was written! I don’t think the pretty adorable plot would be used in children book series today. Even though it was adorable, the girls aren’t very mature for their age. Nor the twins because they look and act like 1-year-olds. Peanut Butter and Jelly is too immature, but the outfits were great:
pg. 16: blazer, plaid skirt, and boots (Mrs. Butterman)

pg. 20: pale yellow dress with full swingy skirt, make-up, and pearl earrings (Mrs. McCune)

pg. 48: yellow corduroy pants and yellow sweatshirt (Bridget)

pg. 49: tulip skirt and tulip shirt (Deidre)

pg. 69: pink warm-up outfit and pink bows (Bridget and Deirdre)

The book Peanut Butter And Jelly, Peanut’s In Charge By Dorothy Haas is a hilarious book. It talks about two girls that babysit two mischievous twin girls. There’s a snow storm outside and the twins girls play in the snow. Although, they decide that they didn’t have enough fun, so they make an inside blizzard. The two girls, Peanut and Jilly go through some problems but at the end it’s always funny. Even though the house turns into a disaster, they still clean it up and have fun. That’s why I recommend this book and why I think you’ll like it.
