This is a "visual bible for illustrators and graphic designers." I am neither, but flipping through this huge book felt like I was walking through a wonderfully curated art gallery showcasing the work of an international group of artists using a variety of techniques. Lovely and inspirational.
"Big Book of Fashion Illustration: A Sourcebook of Contemporary Illustration" by Martin Dawber is a fantastic style cornucopia of work by today's hottest fashion illustrators/artists. Despite the rarity of illustrations seen in magazines and newspapers today, unless they're used for beauty ads or the occasional special fashion spot, they are pretty nonexistent. That's probably why I've always loved them, because when you do see them, it's a revelation. To say this book is one of the best representations of the art form is an understatement since it's also a testament to our global society and all of its diversity.
A very comprehensive collection of contemporary fashion illustration. I fould this to be a diverse and inspiring, well edited sourcebook. I recomend this to artists, art enthusiasts and anyone interested in fashion.
Some of the most amazing and creative fashion illustrations that I have ever seen is gathered in this book. The different techniques and themes prepares lots of ideas and refreshes your mind.
