A retelling of the story of Medusa and Perseus from Medusa's point of view.

The book starts by summarizing the original tale for those readers who might not be familiar. Then, Medusa tells "the real story." Athena is a bully whose jealous of Medusa's beauty, especially when Poseidon notices her. "I guess it's dangerous to be more beautiful than a goddess."

Bibliography of additional resources are in the back. Enrichment ideas are also in the back: If Athena told the story, how would it change? What about Poseidon?
Is everything really all Athena's fault as Medusa claims?

she is just misunderstood!

I like this book, the so called villains we know in mythology finally have their own voice and explained their side of the story.
This book is highly recommended for young readers :) aside from the nice illustrations, I find the narrative simple, easy to understand and witty

This really cute book tells the story of Medusa from her perspective. It teaches kids about Greek Mythology and how to look at a story from someone else’s perspective. It also has a glossary and the pictures are really cute.

In this Myth from the Other Side Medusa provides a little more to her story. The information Medusa provides doesn't really put her in a better light or position. I think her ending of the story shows her true colors.

The reading level of this title is perfect for early chapter book readers, once you are familiar with the Greek terminology and names. The text is in large type and not too lengthy, and the illustrations are colorful and dynamic. A good choice for kids who aren't quite ready for the Goddess Girls series.

Wrote it. Better not review it. I LOVED writing this book. I love reading it aloud. I love mythology. If you want me to come do a mythology presentation to a school group, email me through my website.
