Cute retelling of Odysseus's encounter with the cyclops from the cyclops' pov. It's always interesting to see the story from the villains' point of view. Okay not always, but I have encountered some excellent stories from an alternate viewpoint (although this tends to turn straight up villains into antiheroes. not always a good idea.)
I loved the how the saying "you are what you eat." ties into the story.
Fun story to read with your children.

Myths from the Other Side may grow on me. This is the first one I have read and for me, they aren't as wonderful as Fables from the Other Side. We've heard this story from Odysseus, now we hear from Polyphemus the Cyclops. I'm not sure there ia a good twist from either side in this myth.

Excellant way to teach POV by telling the story of Odysseus from the cyclops's POV.
