Rate this book
Gia’s fantasy about having a wild sexual encounter with a man who craves her has been fulfilled. Now she must face her own demons if she wants to hold onto him…
Gia begins to open up to Ethan about her troubled past and failed marriage. As a result she is finding out how fulfilling slow and easy can be. However, just as she’s beginning to feel comfortable enough to share some of her secrets, something unexpected happens, her past begins to resurface. A past with a dark road, one with secrets so disturbing she’d rather be alone than have to face them again.

Ethan finally got to meet the woman he’d been fantasizing about for the last ten years and gave her the most carnal sexual experience she’d ever had…
Ethan reveals his secret to Gia about watching her go in and out of ‘The Lock’ every summer for the last ten years. He also comes clean about who he is. Now if she’d only do the same and be honest with him about who she truly is. He wants something more; he wants to build something real together. Gia surprises him by showing him how passionate fast and hard can be, but just as things are going as he’d hoped, Ethan realizes it may not be that simple. Gia needs to face her past…

Will Gia shut him out completely? Or will she finally let him see the real her?

Desiree Wilder

Desiree Wilder is a small town girl from South Dakota who daydreams a lot and writes it all down at the end of the day. A nudge and one step in the right direction was all it took for her to discover that she could pull characters out of her head and make them say and do whatever she wanted them to on paper.
Her first series, Losing Control, published under Limitless Publishing, was the beginning of Desiree’s newfound creative outlet. She started safe and slow, unsure of what she wanted to share with the world for fear of being rejected or misunderstood, but by the time she finished the third book, Total Control, she’d found the confidence to write it exactly as she saw it. It was powerful and convinced her to write a spin-off, Sean, in which she pushed her limits even further.
As she delves into the unknown world of self-publishing for her second series, the Phoenix Four, she welcomes the opportunity to personally make her vision come to life. Book one, Emilee, promises to be a sexy, funny, yet emotional look into the lives of four women who met in college, and became sisters for life. Unquestionably her best work to date, Desiree is extremely proud of it.
When Desiree isn’t writing, she loves to shop, cook, camp, and sit on the tailgate with people who make her laugh. Music inspires her and is a big part of her everyday life. Her very close family is her strength and her biggest supporters.

Hay cosas que me han convencido más que en el primero y otras que menos, sobre todo la actitud de Gia, aunque tenga su explicación.

Love Ethan

Ethan and Gia go through shell and back. Ethan's love shines through and really makes him the hero of this book. I hope the next book gives the happy ever after that these two deserve

Again, this was just a 100 page installment...should've been included with Losing Control as the two installments together barely equal one full novel. Unfortunately I purchased all three titles at the same time - otherwise I wouldn't be continuing with this story.

I loved this book. It was a very nice addition to the first and I can not wait until the third is released. Hopefully there is a third? I love these characters but it is always a cliffhanger ending because you do not know if the author is going to pick it up in another book. I honestly stumbled upon the second book not knowing that is was realized so not I am going to keep a closer I eye for the third. It is gut reaching to think of what the sweet Gia has gone through in her life. But just like Ethan we don't know until Gia feels it is time to tell. That is what keeps your reading in this book and the love that Ethan continues to show her. Loved it!

Another shorter book but I really liked it. This one showed more of the relationship between Ethan and Gia. You see them connecting more and their feelings for one another. We also get to see more into poor Gia's past and what she has gone through. I sure hope there is a book 3 in the making though or I am going to be disappointed. I feel like the ending is more of a cliff hanger than it is a final ending. We need to see if and how they get through Gia's problems and the process they go through to become a real couple in love. Please, please, please let there be a #3!!!!!

Wow, this was good. I cannot believe how that ended. No closure at all. I don't see book three anywhere in sight. That was refreshing getting to see a male so sensitive and direct about his feelings. Gia needs some serious help. I am getting pieces of her past; I am ready to know what happened. Will Lex come back into the picture? If he does, he needs a thorough smack down. This is good stuff. I can't wait for the next one.

I sometimes wish a book that leaves you wondering what happens next told me that before I purchased it. While I prefer series books I also prefer books to leave me with a conclusion rather than a what happens next. That being said I did enjoy the story and will eventually buy the next book in the series to find out (hopefully) what happened to the characters and also why.

I got about halfway through and couldn't make myself finish this. The first person narration alternates between the hero and heroine, and in both cases the language is stilted and flat. There's a lot of telling and not much showing. Also, they flush their condoms down the toilet, and that's annoying. I'm glad they're using them, but flushing is not the proper disposal method.

This was another very quick read. Books 1 and 2 together only cover a 5 day period.

But much to say, wasn't a bad book. I did feel like I needed more though. Plus it ended in an almost cliffhanger... I wish there had been an epilogue since I haven't seen talk of another book.

I liked the first book a little bit better than the second book. There was something forced in the second book. I can't quite put my finger on it. I feel like the chemistry was so much better in the first book. The potential is there for these books to be great though!
