When the heat between Kathryn and James rises to a scorching new level, will she shatter under the pressure?
It's a long weekend and I'm reading some of the short freebies on my TBR shelf so I thought I would look at some of the new adult books on that shelf and came across the first installment in this series.
I'm not a fan of the serial like this where authors take a story and separate them into 3 or more books and leave you hanging in between the breaks. Normally when I get to that end and the next installments are $3 a pop I'd call it a day and move on. Well this 2nd one and the 3rd ones are available to borrow, so I thought what the heck. And moved on to the second one.
While the break at the end of this one wasn't like the first one where it was almost like it was in the middle of a sentence, it was an enticement to move on.
But I didn't read enough good stuff to wait the month so I can borrow the next one and I'm definitely not going to shell out $3 to read the next sentence. So this is a unfinished thought for me and I'm okay with that.
Once again we meet Katherine, working as a media consultant at Manticorp Media with James Manticorp, to revamp James image. he is being groomed to take over as CEO. Katherine and James has this undeniable pull between them and after finding out that James is engaged to Heather, the model, Katherine decides to forget him and do her job. But James has falling in love with her and wants to end the fake engagement to Heather. What will Katherine and James do? What will Heather do? Will James and Katherine finally be able to be together? The ending will have you wanting more. This is a quick read and I loved it, about to start the next one. I love Angela Stephens writing style. I did notice a few typos but not enough to effect the reading. Great job Angela!
I liked this second book. I broke down and bought it and the third book. There was a bit of editing that could have been done throughout the book. But overall, it was a good second story in the series.
