This is the beginning of a series that reminded me of Sienna Mynx's Destino series, but the level of writing didn't quite reach it's potential storyline.

The beginning of the story started off good by Kenya Claiborne waking up in a stranger's bed wondering how she got there. As the scene progressed between this hero Jonathan and the way Kenya responded to the situation was a little strange,but in pressing on to see how they would handle the story kept me intrigued. That's how it was during the whole story. The situations that Jonathan and Kenya kept finding themselves kept me interested, but the dialogue between Jonathan and Kenya would run hot and cold all in the same scene and it was a little frustrating. It is the same all the way through the book until the end, and because I didn't hate the story and I have the other two in the series, I am going to make the effort to finish the books as it's been sitting in the que for three years and I owe it my attention. :)

The first chapter was a bit hard to get through because Kenya and Jonathan met under weird circumstances, which I felt was a little unbelievable, but after that, the story pulled me in. I liked the fact that Kenya made Jonathan work for her affection without being overly obnoxious like some heroines tend to be to show how "strong" they are. I really liked both the hero and heroine. They both were ambitious and caring individuals with realistic flaws and crazy ass families. I also liked the cliffhanger at the end. I would have enjoyed this book more if there weren't so many grammatical errors but the storyline was good and I can't wait to see how Kenya and Jonathan get their HEA.
