This was more of a 3.5 but I rounded up because I didn’t hate it.

Vivi, formerly known as Onessa, is on the run from her dead husband’s family. She was given to her husband at age 16 and has been abused the whole marriage. Once her husband dies she’s meant to be married off to either her brother in law or father in law but instead she gets help to run away. She and her son and the baby in her belly get into a wreck and then she is rescued by Whiskey and his brother.

I loved Whiskey so much!! He was such a great guy. He had no problem saving this family and making them his. I loved how he took on the role of dad so easily. Vivi was a likable character as well, she didn’t annoy me like most FMCs these days. My favorite was little Ezra, her son who is 8, he was so sweet and very protective of his mom.

The things I didn’t like lie within the plot. It didn’t really make sense why they had to have a marriage of convenience. Sure they got married so she wouldn’t be married off to her brother in law or father in law but marriage isn’t going to stop them from taking her away so I don’t get why that needed to be done. Also the book description boasts a one bed trope but there wasn’t one in here. If it was it wasn’t mentioned. Also the time jumps were super confusing because it was hardly mentioned how much time had passed. It says once that 6 weeks go by but things would happen and you’re like wait how much time went by? One chapter Vivi was saying how she didn’t care about Whiskey but she was attracted to him and then the next she’s like I’m falling in love with him. Surely there was some time jump in there for her to feel that way so suddenly.

I was bummed and how not spicy the sex scenes were. They were very lack luster. It was mentioned so many times how sexy Whiskey was and Vivi had all this dirty talk but then the sex scene flopped.

There were way too many secondary characters mentioned. I couldn’t keep track of them all. Whiskey has so many brothers and cousins and then all the girls who are apart of their group and it was overwhelming how many people were introduced. Whiskey also states that many of his brothers and cousins each have three kids by three different women and that definitely cemented that I wouldn’t read anything about them.

Also the whole conflict was super anticlimactic. I was hoping for more to happen and also I wasn’t satisfied by the outcome of the villains. Personally I think they needed to disappear rather than be taken to jail but that might just be me reading a little darker books.

NO CHEATING
NO OP DRAMA
NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP
PAST DOMESTIC ABUSE
TALK OF SEX TRAFFICKING
THIRD PERSON DUAL POV (not my fav)
MEDIUM AGE GAP 30/42
HEA (married with kids)

I fell a little in love with Whiskey while reading this one. This is a lite and I mean lite MC series.

I loved seeing characters from other organizations included in Whiskey and Vivi’s story, but this book was far too repetitive. Yes, Vivi loved how Whiskey had rescued her and made her and her family feel safe, but it was stated repeatedly—sometimes feeling almost identical to the way it’d been previous stated. The story could’ve been more—more developed, more thorough, deeper, even funnier. I’m glad I read a couple of the Bluff Creek MC books prior to this so that I don’t avoid this author in the future.

Originally a part of the the Ride with Me shared series, Ride with Whiskey is a great start to a new series. The book intersperses favorites from Bluff Creek Brotherhood MC & Franks & Daughters Bail Bond! Whiskey is a great man who is longing for what his friends have - someone to love and call his own. Vivi is escaping from danger and finds peace in and with the Nelson family. When danger comes calling, Whiskey, his family and his friends join together to ensure Vivi and Ezra are forever safe. Ezra and Vivi discover more than a safe place - they find security and a family.

I don't often give 5-star ratings, but this one had the right kind of emotional tug to cause me to laugh, cry and wish for family and friends just like the ones found in the BCB MC & Nelson families.

Kinda predictable short story. My guess is I would have enjoyed it more if I read more in these series from this author. Whiskey (characters yes are alcohol names) and Vivi fall in love after he rescues her from abusive family the end. Bleh.

We met Whiskey, his family and got an introduction to their bar in Nat Logan’s Bluff Creek Brotherhood MC series. This is the first book about the Nelson family, which hopefully we will get a lot more of!

Vivi, her son and unborn child are on the run from her late husband’s family. She had some help in escaping which put her on the road. Vivi finds out that deer and cars are not a great combination! Whiskey finds her on the side of the road and gives her and her family a safe place to stay.

Vivi has never felt safe and neither has her son Ezra in the life they have been living. Whiskey just being himself shows them how a real man acts, which starts to heal them. When trouble, in the form of her in-laws come knocking, Whiskey does everything he can do to protect the family he is building!

I LOVED this book so much. The characters and world that Nat Logan has created keeps getting better and better! Even though this is not a Bluff Creek Brotherhood MC book, all the characters we know and love keep popping up. I really hope we get more of the Nelson family, because there are so many great characters in the family, especially Whiskey’s brother Hennessey. And let me tell you everyone needs some Hennessey in their lives!

Safe Haven

Onessa Charles was desperate to run away from her father-in-law and brother-in-law. Her husband had died, and they informed her that she had to marry one of them. She wanted nothing to do with either of them. A biker named Justice arranged a plan for her and her son to escape. He had a car for her and instructions to go to the Bluff Creek Brotherhood MC for safety. But a rain storm, a deer, and the resulting accident changed those plans. Whiskey Nelson saw headlights in the ditch and pulled over. She pleaded with him not to call an ambulance or the police. She said she couldn't have her name on a police report. So they took them to his place, an apartment above the bar. A friend who was a nurse checked them over. She shared that she was running from her late husband's family and asked if she could stay with Whiskey because she felt safe with him. This began a relationship that filled in empty spaces for both of them. This is a story of family and friends who were committed to keeping them safe. It was a great story.

Awesome read

Whiskey and Vivi
Vivi ran away after her husband died and her father in law and brother in law were harassing her to marry one of them. She had been forced by her family to marry and had a son , she is currently eight months pregnant. She is assisted at her OB office by a biker named Justice, they got her and her son out of town. As she was driving to her destination she hit a deer, and was found by Whiskey and his brother.
Whiskey and his family own a bar in town and are bikers but not a MC, but are friends with a MC. Whiskey helps Vivi but her ex in laws find her, so he thinks of a way to protect the kids and her from them, especially as they are saying she is not of sound mind. He asked her to marry him as convince for now and they will see where it goes. The night Vivi decides to make a move on her husband made me laugh out loud and my husband thinks I'm crazy. I loved this book and definitely checking out the next one.

Good Bones

I read the whole thing, which wasn't super long, but almost stopped on just about every other page. There are good bones here that made me want to know what would happen next, and how things would be resolved. The idea of the storyline was good. That's where the second star came in.
However, the writing itself could use some editing, especially with clarity. There were too many awkward words choices, unclear dialogue jumps, and places where the narrator told something bluntly that would have been much better explored through an explanation of the senses rather than simply "here is the thing".
With a few more editing passes, and a little more spice (it's hinted at like it wants to be super spicy, but then stops just short of going there, but is beyond implications of a closed door romance) I think this could be a really good book.

Whiskey is the best example of the a cinnamon roll hero! He and his family are the best kind of men. When Vivi crashes her car, on the run with her son from her dead husband's family, Whiskey and his family come to her rescue. Heavily pregnant and scared, Whiskey is the complete opposite of her husband and his family. Covered in tattoos, a beard and so tall, as well as kind, she couldn't help but be attracted to him. Whiskey has never felt this way, wanting to care f0r and protect her and her babies. I just loved him to pieces! This was a joy and a delight to read! Vivi's son Ezra was so sweet and he blossoms under the guidance and care of Whiskey and his family. I cannot wait to get to know the rest of the guys, especially Hennessey!

Whiskey and Vivi

Vivi's life was a hot mess - she'd just crashed her car while fleeing her late husband's crazy family with her son in tow. Luckily, Whiskey and his clan came to the rescue. This heavily pregnant lady on the run was smitten with Whiskey, the total opposite of her husband and his family. I mean, who wouldn't fall for a tattooed, bearded giant with a heart of gold? Whiskey, on the other hand, had never felt this way before - he was all about caring for and protecting Vivi and her mini-me's. I was head over heels for this guy! This book was a pure joy to read, and Vivi's son Ezra was an absolute sweetheart who blossomed under Whiskey's guidance. Now, I'm impatiently awaiting the rest of these guys to fall!

Ride With Whiskey is a great fast-paced, insta love, quick read that gives you all the feels in the very best way. Whiskey and Vivi don't have the most conventional beginning but it works perfectly for them.

"Your love filled every little broken part of my heart."

We certainly can't forget Ezra! He's the cutest little guy and is proving to be a Nelson through and through. I can't wait for what Vivi has in store for the rest of the guys. Though once timid and scared, Vivi has found her inner bada*^, these guys better watch out!

Onessa Vivian Charles is running from her ex father and brother in law with the help of Justice, she’s on the road when a deer forces her into a ditch, Whiskey Nelson and his brother come across Onessa and save her, her son and unborn child and take them back to the bar. When she tells them her story Whiskey vows to protect them and she changes her name to Vivi and her son to Ezra so they can’t be detected. What starts as simply helping someone turns to a love that knows no bounds.

Loved Whiskey and Vivi’s story, how both her and Ezra shine when treated right and I can’t wait for Vivi to find the rest of the Nelson’s One.

I loved the background of this story and how Whiskey and Vivi came to be. Instalove at its best for the couple. It would seem that the couple would have a chance to start their lives together because of the trouble that came with Vivi. However, that trouble was met head on by the Brotherhood.
I loved the way that the story just flowed while the characters were awesome. For me this was another book that I was able to read in one sitting. That in and of itself shows just how much I loved the book.

Love Whiskey and Vivi it is the perfect insta love I have read in a while. Vivi and her son are on the run from her dead husband's brother and father who are as abusive as he was, she crashes and Whiskey finds them on the side of the road. As he helps them hide they fall in love and realize that they all fit together. Vivi is very pregnant and Whiskey can't wait to add to their instant family.
I absolutely love how sweet and protective he is. Come along for a fun ride with and you can even visit some old friends at the Bluff Creek Brotherhood MC.

Nat Logan has done it again!! This truly is a woman with a limitless talent. Whiskey and Vivi"s story is so beautiful and heartfelt. The depth and emotions absolutely floored me.

This book was my first by this author and I would say is not really a standalone. I think if I had read her MC series, which has been recommended to me, Imay have enjoyed this more. The characters were interesting and I liked the premise but I think, it was too short to be fleshed out properly. So for me it read more like a plot synopsis with way too many characters than a true story. I wonder if the author was limited to a page/word number because it was a collaborative series?

Lovin This Family

I am going to enjoy this family and this new series. I’m also glad we are back on track with Canon and Jesse’s story that ended in Scoop’s book. I thought the continuation would be in Rascal’s book since it was the next in the series but what happened occurred out of order. Meanwhile I like Whiskey from previous books so I’m glad he and his brothers and cousins will get their own stories.

Great book

Wow!! I love this author. Whiskey doesn’t ever think he will meet anyone who can handle him. Vivi is just trying to survive to get her kids to safety but a deer has another plan for her. She’s not used to driving and she tries to avoid the deer but that’s not the case and she crashes her vehicle. Her rescuer is none other than Whiskey. They go into a pretend marriage to keep her from her dead husbands family. They never planned on falling in love.

Whiskey Vivi and Ezra

This is a page turner for sure.
A car wreck on the side of the road is what starts this love story. Onessa/Vivian was desperate to get away from her father-in-law and his son after her husband passed so she wouldn't be forced into an unwanted marriage. She and her son escapes, and Whiskey finds their car in a ditch.
Grab your copy today and enjoy it like I did.
Happy reading! Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved this story! I have been fawning over Whiskey for a while and I was so glad to get insight into the amazingness that is him and his family. I loved seeing him develop more and getting to experience him finding and falling in love. I am so hoping to get a series with his family. There needs to be so much more on all of them. I am totally going to be reading this book again.

Nat Logan reveals a whole new delicious family with this first Nelson book. I'm hoping it's the first in a series of at least 15 (hint, hint). I'm not going to give you any details but, if I were ever to be run into a ditch, I hope my rescuer is as delicious as Whiskey!

I'm more than happy to give this book a five-star review. I'd give it more if I could!

Such a good book! Whiskey is so good with pregnant Vivi and her young son. When the son tells Whiskey that he knew he was his father the minute he met him, and choosing his new name, Ezra, so that he follows in Whiskey's family tradition of naming children after alcohol, my heart just melted. I really enjoyed the family dynamic of this book, and all the humor. An excellent 5 star read!

I don't even know the right words to emphasize how much I loved Whiskey's story! We've had a glimpse of Whiskey & Nelson's Honkytonk Saloon & Bar in Bluff Creek Brotherhood MC books so I knew I wanted his story! Nat Logan has once again created a story that draws you into the characters world & makes you never want to leave!

Absolutely beautiful story

Love this beautiful story. Whiskey didn’t know how much his life was about to change and it was a good change. Finding your one plus where you least expect and having to battle to keep them safe is what Whiskey does. This story is heartwarming and the banter is always great with the brothers and cousins.

I loved the Franks sisters series, and this is a spin off of that. This was pretty good, even for insta-love, but it didn't rate as highly for me because the resolution with Vivi's in-laws didn't feel real. Surely such bad guys weren't that freaking clueless as to come alone when they were completely out of their element and totally outnumbered.

Whiskey & Vivi

Vivi has been through so much and little man were coming into Whiskeys life was best thing that could've happened to all of them. It warmed my heart to see his family rally around them and little man be a kid because of it. I can't wait to see more of them and his family in the future.

I know this is a short story but man this is a prime example of telling what's happening and not showing what's happening. The plot was interesting and a lot could have been done with it but it reminded me of a junior high creative writing class where the paper is due tomorrow and it's now 9 pm the night before. I ended up reading about 65% before I DNF.

Nat is a very talented author. Must read her books.

I enjoy Nat's books. Whiskey and ViVi's story was told in a way that had me wanting more. I couldn't put it down. I am a fan of Nat's. The first series I read was Bluff Creek Brotherhood MC. I am diving into this series, getting ready to read Hennessy's story next.
