As an Anglophile, I have loads of British phrasebooks, histories, dictionaries, etc., so I laughed when I was given this for Christmas. However, the introduction is absorbing, and it turns out that the book overall is well done and sprinkled with good humo(u)r. I consider it a valuable addition to my Anglo-library.
