Ellie Andrews has been receiving tutoring from Blake McCarthy for three years to help her improve her grades so she can get into one of the top universities to study law. And she’s had a huge crush on him since she can remember.
Blake McCarthy is the geek at school that’s had a crush on Ellie since the day he met her.
In their final tutoring session, Blake and Ellie finally become brave enough to take the leap of faith. But, life has other plans and rips them apart.
Six years later Blake and his best friends Ben and Billy have built a successful internet platform company 3BCubed, while Ellie is a successful and hardworking lawyer specialising in Corporate Law. 3BCubed is being threatened with a devastatingly large plagiarism case and when it lands on their lawyers desk, it’s handed to the new Corporate Lawyer to handle and win.
Coincidence or perhaps fate will see Blake and Ellie pushed back together.
Binary Law will have Blake and Ellie propelled into a life that’s a whirl wind of catastrophic events and situations where every emotion will be touched. Hurt will be experienced, happiness will be presented and love will be evident. But is that enough for Blake and Ellie be able to live out their own happily ever after?
“I have no intentions of this journey ending anytime soon, but it starts tonight, with you and me” - Blake McCarthy
I loved this book. I pretty much finished reading this in one setting and it isn’t quite a short read.
It all started when Blake McCarthy, crushing over beautiful Ellie Andrews, offered to tutor her in calculus to help her with her grades but mostly to be close to Ellie. Ellie crushing over hot and nerdy Blake accepted his offer and for 3 years they would meet every Thursday. Ellie’s been waiting for Blake to show his interest in her for 3 years!!! She hadn’t need his help in calculus for 8 months but she continued with the tutoring just to be near him. Until that last study session, when Ellie finally kissed Blake….
But Ellie’s dad has been transferred to another military base and they were moving. Ellie promised to keep in touch and to call as soon as they’re settled, but that call never came.
Six years later, Coincidence or perhaps fate will see Blake and Ellie pushed back together.
This book is light, romantic, antsy and hot! There is none of those irritating unreasonable female lead character. But there definitely is the hot alpha male that we all love. I loved all the main characters here.. I can’t wait to read about Hope and Ben next!!!
Took me a while to get into the story, some places there was a use of over wording and made it really hard for me to connect with the story in the beginning, it wasn't until about 20% in that I actually started to enjoy it, the story line picked up more and flowed better..
So we first meet Blake (the computer geek) who is running late for his last tutoring lesson with Ellie, both have been attracted to each other for years but neither of them have taken that step in admitting their attraction..
"And yes Blake really does come across like a computer geek." If he's not tripping over his shoe laces, or wearing the geeky clothes, to top those things he stumbles over his words when he's around Ellie..
Life has a way of stepping in and this is the last time these two will see each other until 6 years down the track..
Ellie had just disappeared off the face of the earth, no phone call, no word, nothing, just gone!!
So here we are 6 years later, Ellie has just broken up with her long term over bearing boyfriend and takes a job in Boston.
She's called up by her new associates stating that one of their biggest clients has been threatened with a plagiarism case..You need to meet with the three directors at 9.00am, the company is "3BCuBed"
So imagine Ellie's surprise there she was sitting patiently chatting to the two directors waiting for the meeting to commence with these two men and the one that seems to be running late makes his appearance, and it's none other than "Blake"
Gone is the geeky computer guy and in his place is a new and improved man..
I could just imagine Ellie standing there with her mouth wide open hanging to the floor..
His hair is no longer shoulder length, it's short as in nearly buzz cut short, his round glasses have been replaced with black square rims, and his frame is no longer that of a seventeen year old boy in his place is a confident sexy twenty three year old man..
This was the turning point for me in the story, at this point it started picking up and became a really enjoyable read..This book wasn't just your normal romance story and that's what made this book unique..
I enjoyed the banter between these two, the re-connection, the love these two felt for each other that hadn't dwindled when they were apart, he used words that could make you swoon..Just beautifully worded..
WOW – What a ride this has been. What do we think about Binary Law? Honestly? It’s FANTASTIC. Pity we can’t award any more than 5 stars.
What do we like about it?? Well we wrote it! It’s a beautiful contemporary romance that has all the elements making it a perfect read. Love, romance, angst, upset, opportunities lost and opportunities found.
We’ve penned our heart and soul into Binary Law. There were scenes that had us laughing and scenes that had us crying. But overall the one thing that is quite clear throughout the story line is - LOVE.
Blake McCarthy was the computer geek at school that wanted Ellie Andrews, the smart and self-assured girl. Ellie Andrews thought that even though Blake McCarthy was a geek, she really wanted more from him than just the tutoring he was offering. Even though life doesn’t always go to plan for Blake and Ellie, sometimes the lessons learnt is what’s needed for the soul. Thank you for reading our debut book, we really hope you love it as much as we do.
Life is like a big Puzzle. Every puzzle piece is important to complete the whole picture, every piece plays a significant role. But like any other puzzles sometimes you will encounter a missing piece either it was misplaced or lost. How can you start to build your puzzle if some piece is missing? Will you just give up? Or force to find those missing piece?
First of all, thank you for the ARC given by the authors. Once I've got my copy instantly I started reading it even I'm still at work. (^o^) and second, congrats on your first book!
I love the title of the book something unique and fitting to the characters of the story and even the book cover is a thumbs up for me.
It was well written. I love the story very romantic with a little surprise in the end. It was an easy read for me, because the narration is clear and precise, for me it doesn't have a boring scene. It was written on Blake's and Ellie's POV and even Tony has its own POV, I love that part actually, the scene where he investigates. Moving on, lol. I always have the smile on my face whenever I read Blake's POV, I find him very charming, caring and he is very SWEET and HOT, oh and RICH, lucky Ellie. While Ellie on the other side has a strong personality, daring and a very good friend just like Blake. She has beauty and brain, who will not fall for her?
Binary Law is a story of a love lost and a love found. A story about friendship and family. A story between two individuals looking/longing for the missing piece of their life, once lost and unexpectedly reunited. From the start until the end the "love" is always there even though it was tested and faces some difficulties they still hold on and never let go.
I enjoy reading it, I laughed, I cried a little because of Blake's vow to Ellie, so damn sweet! And for me it is a perfect way to end the story I love it when it ends on a... "and they lived happily ever after"
Kudos! And Cheers! Love it *(^o^)*

Binary Law is a great introduction to the rest of the Boston series and its characters. It's the first book out of 3 and each one is a stand alone with a different couple as main characters, with different dynamics. Also, the author has plans to release another erotic novella in December that isn't so vanilla :D... called "Club Quid Pro Quo"
Binary Law is a HEA story of coincidences, life and its ploys and basically lost and refound love, yet it doesn't lack of some steamy scenes.
The story of Blake and Ellie who happen to fall in love with each other in high school while he makes for quite a sympathetic and geeky tutor to her. What neither one of them is, is straight forward. They have a thing for each other but keep it hidden. It goes that way for 2 years...every Thursday is a "date". Just when they decide to overcome their barriers and come out with their feelings toward each other...life happens and Ellie falls off the face of the earth.
6 years comes and goes, now she's a successful lawyer, he's a multimillionaire apps developer.
Somewhere out in the world.
Blake's never been the same again, she's his obsession.
There's a guy but Ellie's heart has already been taken.
So she runs away from any commitment and comes back home...and guess what? Not a long time later so is Blake. Back home. To where he belongs.
Law suits. Random meetings. Reacquaintances. Accidents. Plots. Fake sociopath girlfriends. Rebounding. Happily ever afters.
I was given a copy of this for a honest review. This book had me sucked in as soon as the Prologue was over, my mouth hung open and I couldn't wait to see what was happening. It was so beautifully written. I am very impressed with this Author and look forward to more. Blake and Elle are the perfect couple full of love, passion and understanding for each other. It has been a long time since I have read a honest to goodness love story and I am happy that I did. Put this book on your TBR list. Kathy Coopmans Panty dropping book blog
There very rarely comes a time in the contemporary romance genre that you come across a book that is just a about love.
Most books these days are about a egotistical alpha male, a soft and somewhat meek gorgeous woman, the chemistry that binds them together, the angst that tears them apart, some awesome make up sex and the happily ever after that evolves.
M.H Grace’s debut novel isn’t that. Binary Law is about two people that just love. It’s that kind of story we love to dream about, where the love they have for each other is the priority and all their other needs become a distance second.
Hang on wait!!!!!… What about the angst?.... What about the hot sex scenes???....What about the storyline that makes you want to read more?.... Yes my friends…. This has it all.
Blake McCarthy and Ellie Andrews lose each other at the end of their senior year in high school due to the circumstances that were set upon them. They both try to move on with other people, Blake with what seems to be a lot of woman, and Ellie with one that sounds an alpha male himself Matthew Winters. However, their thoughts of forever were only based on the one person that they lost all those years ago. Nothing would equal that feeling they had when Blake would tutor Ellie at the local Starbucks during their last two year of high school.
“For the last two years Ellie Andrews’ has been my weeks greatest thing to look forward to, and by far the best thing to remember”
Unfortunate professional circumstances bring them back together and personal hardships bind them. Their love withstanding some of the toughest experiences you can face as a couple. Forcing the reader through some emotional highs and lows. I don’t shed a tear very often but did with a certain scene or two in this book.
“I will not lose you again Sweetheart”. “I promise. You won’t”. She looks at me and smiles. God damn, I’ve missed that smile.
The sex scenes in this novel are as good as they get. Being an avid reader, you get used to reading them but I found myself liking the ones MH Grace created. It’s contemporarily written and has a fan fic edge that I really enjoyed. The title was clever in the fact that incorporated Blakes I.T background and Ellie’s Law career and I really like the book cover. It too gave you hints of what the story is about.
The alternating POV between the two main characters and the progressive storyline had me reading this story as every spare moment I could afford. And very little of the storyline overlapped. And what did overlap made it an interesting read to see each POV.
The secondary characters were extremely well integrated into Blake and Ellie’s story and the epilogue gives us a glimpse into what I am assuming will the next book in the Binary/3BCuBed Series.
I just loved it.
Due for release 1st November 2013 via Amazon & Kobo for $2.99

I was excited to read this book about a geeky math tutor falling for his — what do we call her? student? tutee? why can’t I think? — the girl he helps. I love a geeky boy. Alas, Blake was not geeky enough for me.
Blake and Ellie meet in high school. He has a crush on her and offers to help her study, so every week for years they meet at a coffee shop and study. The book opens on their last study date, and Blake is ready to make his move. But Ellie gets a call from her dad that he’s being transferred and they leave tomorrow! She’s upset, Blake comforts her, and she kisses him, because she’s been in love with him all this time, too.
But then, sadly, Ellie loses her phone and her address book in the move, so she never calls Blake again. I don’t know why they weren’t able to track each other down, but that’s not something we should worry about.
What we should worry about is the fact that, six years after high school, Ellie is a lawyer handling a case for a multi-billion-dollar company. She majored in “Law” at Yale, skipped law school altogether, then got a job at a law firm in New York. When one of the attorneys there falls in love with her, she decides to move back to Boston because she is still in love with Blake.
This is where I should point out that I suspect that the author is British. Not just the majoring in Law part, but also the fact that people take lifts instead of elevators, cars have bonnets, an operating room is a theatre, movers are called removalists, a bachelor party is called a bucks party, and every character says “whilst.” Consider it to be bonus culture!
Blake’s geekiness manifests in the beginning with his Star Wars t-shirt, eyeglasses, and unsure footing, but that’s pretty much it. Six years later, he and his two best friends have a multi-billion-dollar software company. Ellie gets assigned to defend them against a plagiarism accusation, sparks fly, love is in the air, and all that jazz. Blake is rich, Ellie is sexy, there’s no particular geek boy/popular girl dynamic, just a lot of love, loving, and more love.
Ellie is the greatest woman in the world. Blake has pined for her for six years (again, so sad that a computer genius couldn’t track her down, maybe he was afraid to?) and told all his friends about her. Ellie’s best friend from high school, whom she also lost touch with, has a giant Ellie-sized hole in her heart until Ellie’s private investigator finds her. And Ellie’s ex-boyfriend keeps trying to win her back. No one can get over Ellie.
I have to nitpick another thing…Ellie starts dating Blake, but there’s no conflict of interest with her also representing his company? Her ex-boyfriend represents the plaintiffs, but there’s no conflict of interest there? What’s become of the American legal system?
Basically, this book didn’t do much for me. The characters are in love, they don’t overcome great obstacles, they just stay in love. So if you want to read about happy people being in love, then you will totally enjoy this. If you want a little more drama, you may want to skip it.
This was a quick good read. It’s the story of Blake and Ellie who end up falling in love with each other over time while Blake is tutoring Ellie in high school. But they suddenly lose contact when Ellie’s father receives a transfer.
Six years later they surprisingly meet again when Ellie, who is an attorney is contacted to represent 3BCuBed, which is owned by Blake and his two best friends, Ben and Billy. This is a sweet love story with very little angst. It's an easy read, that held my interest and had me wanting to continue. Blake is a sweet and sexy geek (glasses and all). I enjoyed when Blake and Ellie re-discovered each other, there wasn’t a long drawn out misunderstanding or other crazy issues to deal with. Although I would consider this a sweet read, there was definitely some steam!
Ben and Billy were great and to see the love and support of these three who refer to each other as “brothers” was great.
Great epilogue and I’ll be looking out for Ben and Hope’s story.
SWEET, NERDY AN A SEXY ALPHA WHAT MORE WOULD YOU WANT.Blake and Ellie's story was so sweet. I am so happy they found each other again. I didn't like Ben's girlfriend from the beginning but I just wasn't expecting what she did it was an unexpected surprise. I have a feeling that Ben Is the father of Hope's son and the next book is for them.I REALLY ENJOY THIS BOOK.
I loved it. Blake and Ellie's story was so sweet. I wish I had a love like that. I do have one teeny-weenie but. The pet names. Specifically Ellie calling Blake 'handsome' every time I turned around. It was a little distracting, but beyond that, I can totally see myself rereading this.
Wonderful read, loved the plot, WOW!! Nicely written, I think we have a new mystery writer. Ellie and Blake, what a lovely duo, hope and rays of sunshine!! Really enjoyed this book!!! Ben, my man..you go dude!!! Billy and Violet..YAY!!
I loved reading every minute of this book I just couldn't put it down it has everything from sweet sweet love that most girls dream about, angst, sadness, hot alpha male and some very hot scenes I can't wait for Ben & Hope's story you get a bit of there story at the end & I'm dying for more....

OMG my heart is all yours BLAKE ... umm I mean my loving husband.. hehe.. This book has an amazing HEA GO BUY IT AND start the Boston series! I cannot wait for the next book to the series to come out! I give this book 5 stars all the way!
Actually a 3.5 stars for this one. The story of Ellie and Blake who meet at school. Blake tutors Ellie for two years and then Ellie has to move away and they loose touch. This is the story of what happens when they meet six years later.
I was so excited to read this book. I'd heard so much hype about it and it sounded like a real gritty read about a feisty lawyer and the head of a software company. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The story was fine but didn't grip me and there were a lot of holes in the story. Some things didn't add up. The only reason I read it so fast was because I was buddy-reading with my friend Michelle Ochoa and she reads like a demon! I was just trying to keep up with her, otherwise I may well have struggled a little. Don't get me wrong, it had it's moments but they were few. I also had real trouble with the language used. The story is set in the states but a lot of the words and phrases used were very British or Australian. That was something that Michelle and I both commented on. It was confusing at times and made it hard to envisage the characters and their personalities. The part that really saved this book for me was actually the epilogue! It was very well written! I'm wondering if the next book continues on from the epilogue because I might read it based just on this one area! I know, it sounds odd but this part of the book was actually very good. As I always say, don't be put off as this is my very personal review. Judge for yourself!
This book for me came at a time when I was mentally distracted, with far too much going on in my life, but it kept pulling me back towards it time and time again and I'm really pleased it did because I persevered and thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I love the way Blake and Ellie meet earlier in life and bonded, then for unforeseen circumstances they broke apart with and had absolutely no contact details for one another ,and as most happy endings go they meet again via a by chance work meeting and you guessed it sparks fly.
They fit together like champagne and chocolate and it is as if they have never been apart, their need to reform their bond is very strong and they do that very successfully they virtually start off where they left it previously.
You grow to love Blake and Ellie as if you've known them forever and they truly make a remarkable and memorable couple.M.H Grace did a wonderful job of getting their personalities across to us, so we felt along side the characters.
If you haven't read Binary Law add it too your TBR now you won't regret it I promise you.
Binary Law was a a cute story of a rekindled love. I have to be honest though, I was a bit disappointed because I have high hopes for this book. The synopsis piqued my interest that I want to read and finish it as soon as possible but after I finished it, I was kinda hoping for more. Something was lacking and my expectations was not met. The story is not bad it's just that I want more depth to it.
What I like about the story is the second chance at love. I dig such stories and this book definitely has one. I like the chemistry the characters have and how they ignite the fire after years of being separated. Life happens and it is inevitable but when it gives you a second chance (at anything) you should grab it and make it last. I think that is one of the message this story wants to express.
I will definitely read books from this series in the future. Book 2 is going to be interesting. :)
****REVIEW**** Everything starts when Ellie and Blake are in high school. They are both crushing on each other but don't speak up until it is almost too late. After finally kissing Ellie is forced to move away due to her father being re-stationed. They never fully ever get over each other and always wonder what the other is doing.
6 years later they are finally re-united when Blake's company is need of a lawyer he gets the surprise of a lifetime when Ellie is the new corporate lawyer assigned to the case.
Blake is one hot alpha male and you can't help but want him. Ellie is smart and beautiful which makes her easy to like through out the story. The dual POV is wonderful. I really like getting both POV's when I read, it helps me understand the characters better. Binary law has a little bit of everything in it, romance, laughter, sadness and a bit of a twist (but I won't spoil it for you.)
Overall Binary Law was a fun easy read and I give it 3.5 stars Review was done by Kari from an ARC in exchange for an honest review. For more reviews go to www.bookwhores.weebly.com
I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. Let me just say that it was well done and a great read. I wish there was more of them from when they were in school. You totally get that the really love each other. I loved all the characters, when I got to the epilogue I jumped off my couch like a man cheering for a touchdown! I was so damn happy. Wow I am all over the place so yeah I laughed my ass off reading about Ben and his first college girlfriend. The guys are great in this book. Every person was so real and sweet. Tony has my dream job! I can't wait for the rest of the characters books. Binary Law had it all for me without being drawn out or just like every other book in this genre. Granted its a genre that I love and I can ALWAYS find something that draws me in. This one did it for me. So if your looking for a book with sweet characters and a beautiful love story, with hot sex scenes, and humor look no farther!
I requested this book from the author and was absolutely thrilled when it appeared in my mailbox. Thank you!! I tried to hold back from reading, knowing I had made other commitments to my time, but knew that it would not last in my To Be Read pile for long. When I broke down and started reading I could not put it down. I actually read this book in one late night sitting. I could not possibly stop reading until I knew what was happening.
I love books with alpha males. Blake is one through and through. Ellie is also an alpha personality, smart, beautiful, and successful. The fact that you get dual points of view made each character so much more likeable and relatable. I felt like I was sitting in on the meetings, living in their apartment. The story telling was so realistic.
Binary Law has everything a reader can want. There is romance, love, twists and turns, and lots of hotness. I highly recommend this for all my fellow romance lovers.
I cant quite remember how I came across this little gem of a book, but boy am I glad that I did.
The story of Ellie and Blake is ridiculously sweet, in fact you might just go into a diabetic coma from it.
I loved reading every minute of this book and it encompasses everything that a great/awesome books should have....there is drama, angst, hot nerdy alpha males and some yummy hot scenes that will leave your kindle a little more steamier than when you started.
This book is as far as I can tell a debut novel for 2 authors and to nail it on the first try is a amazing feat - Well Done Ladies...
Great Read and I cannot wait for Ben and Hope's story....This is going to be a series that you do not want to miss...
The writing style (including the rampant incorrect use of capitalization and punctuation) was just not for me. This book was sickly sweet and that's not a good thing. And I am sorry but modern day 23/24-year olds living in the United States, let alone Boston, do not talk like that. This is a pet peeve of mine but if you are going to set your book in the US then don't use foreign vernacular and have some sense of how people converse with one another and how the law here actually works. No way would the MC have this level of responsibility as a recent law school graduate. Your timeline does not hold up under the least bit of scrutiny, M.H. Grace.
This is a sweet story but I prefer something that has more angst / more humor in it. Also, I find it rather lame that no one attempted to cross that bridge in their first N yrs of knowing each other... Plotwise I did enjoy the little twist that it had for Georgia and the investigator bit that Tony did. I usually enjoy teacher/student or tutor/student romance but I've just finished one not too long ago.... so this could be just bad timing for me. I loved the epilogue tho and looking forward to Hope's story.
Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!! Binary law was an awesome read!! It had all the things you love about a romance novel. Love, lust, tears of joy, tears of sadness, hot scenes that can leave you flushed, fist pumping moments & longing to hear more from the lovable characters especially Blake. You get sucked in straight away to this story like its real life and you never want it to end. Bring on Ben & Hope's story. Congrats M.H Grace on a fantastic book. Can't wait to read more from you.
