The Coffee Cafe is a place where friends are made, lovers meet and relationships begin. Of Course, how they will end is yet to be known...
Sara was supposed to be starting her new life, new flat, new job, new man. That was the plan but it just wasn't happening. All that changes when Sara misses her bus one day and her new sexy supervisor offers to give her a lift, it sparks off a passionate affair that leaves her breathless and feeling alive.
That is until Sara is caught up in scandal at work that could lead to her being arrested, confused and alone she shuts herself away from the world. Can she find the strength to clear her name? Can she uncover the truth about what really happened? Who can she trust?
Jamie loved her from the first moment he met her, but Sara is not the woman he thought she was. Can he become the man to offer Sara the love she so desperately craves? Or is he destined to become just a bad memory.
Bitter Reflections is a romance that follows Sara through a tough time in her life where she needs to take responsibility for the mistakes in her past and learn to take control of love and life.
I enjoyed this, but the proof reading really let it down, it would have been four stars if it wasn't for that.
It's a complete story, even though it's a part of a set, and I liked most of the characters. It's an interesting read, the main character Sara finds herself in the middle of a disaster, and has several people tell her it's her own fault, she has a bit of a voyage of discovery, and has to make some hard choices. It's not a straightforward romance, it has elements of mystery in there, chick lit and just a touch of erotic. It's very much about the story rather than the bedroom.
I'll probably try book two of the series and just hope the proof reading on that is better.
I absolutely loved this first instalment of the Coffee Cafe series. The 5 stars are well deserved. The story line is emotional, fast and clever, and the characters solid, deep and well portrayed. It was easy to walk with Sara all throughout the book. Bitter Reflections did tug at my heartstrings on quite a number of occasions and I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Looking forward to more from The Coffee Cafe series.
This is a book from The Coffee Café Series. The Coffee Café is a place where people go to meet other people. The story follows Sara, who in a fortuitous turn of events, misses her bus and ends up accepting a ride from her new boss and a love interest quickly ensues. However, a scandal arises that calls Sara’s character into question and threatens everything new and good in her life. Can Jamie look past what is going on to stay in love with Sara? I was pleasantly surprised with this story and felt that it was fairly well written. There were some editing errors, but I’m sure those will be taken care of in later editions. This story was a fresh take on romance and I really enjoyed it.

Idiot girl ex-boyfriend is getting married causing her to lose her darn mind and pick up the first guy she thinks is interested except his a scheme artist. Her boss and his girlfriend rip off the company that they are all working at and leaves it on idiot girl. Typical!!!
