I found this book to be quite helpful, as it addressed in clear language a number of statistical uncertainties/questions that I had. I have taken a number of statistics/research methodology courses, many of which dealt with the mathematics/techniques at the expense of losing the 'forest for the trees'. Prof. Allison does a fine job of connecting concepts and telling the reader what things mean without going into the greatest detail. He wanted to keep his book short - and in the process made it relevant.

I really enjoyed this snapshot on the basics of regression. It truly helps the reader see the forest for the trees, thereby serving as an excellent complement to any of the typical information-packed statistics or econometrics books.

If I have to read this entire thing for school, you better believe I'm adding this to my GoodReads. The best thing it did for me was getting me closer to my reading goal.

In all honesty, definitely not the worst statistical explanation. Very readable for (relative) beginners and good examples.
