In dit deel wederom veel avontuur, pijlen, en ook lekker veel humor. Ik heb echt genoten van dit verhaal waarin de kippen hun oude verteller helpen om zijn opvolger te vinden. Ze weten dat ze de pijlen moeten volgen en dat de opvolger Jan heet, maar ja, zoveel heten er Jan dus je kunt voorstellen hoe de zoektocht ging. Toch dapper dat ze nooit opgaven. Het einde maakte me heel blij en ik vond het leuk gedaan!
Met leuke referenties naar verhalen en mooie illustraties.
Ik hoop dat ik meer delen kan vinden!

The old storyteller, Ratón Cuentero, is exhausted and just wants to go to his ancestors in peace. But first, he must find and train up his successor. And not just anyone will do. It specifically must be Juan, who sleeps on leaves. Arrows will help Ratón to find him.

“Se llama Juan el que te reemplazara. Dormido sobre unas hojas lo descubrirás. La flecha para encontrarlo, seguirla deberás.”

The animals who’ve enjoyed Ratón’s tales decide to help him. And so they travel throughout the countryside, talking with every Juan they meet to see if he might be the new storyteller! There’s Juan the rabbit, Juan the bear, Juan the stinky ferret, Juan the frog still waiting for a princess’s kiss, and many others… When they finally meet THE Juan (who sleeps on leaves), the ancestors crowd around the window as Ratón passes on his stories … and Juan (who sleeps on leaves) has the sense to write them down into his book for easier storyteller successions in the future.

Yay, the end!

I chose this book to challenge my Spanish, and also because I liked the the whimsy of the story and the artwork. Joke’s on me, though, as the book has a rich and vibrant vocabulary … it took three days to read its 52 pages, with all the word lookups I had to do.

موش قصه گو هر هفته به مرغدونی میاد و برای جوجه ها قصه میگه، اما دیگه پیر شده و ۳ روز وقت داره تا جانشینش رو پیدا کنه.
ترجمه ای روان، تصاویری جذاب و داستانی جذاب.
فرزندانتان از خواندن و شنیدنش لذت خواهند برد.
