I absolutely loved this story. I wanna take Reid home with me. Ava and Mila are beautiful strong characters and I so happy Reid got his HEA and final able to live in the light again. So who is next Jake and Grace, Nikolai and Leah , I so want Quinn and Emerson's, I want Quinn to see his alpha bad boy side. It doesnt matter which book is next I just know it will be worth reading. If you haven't read Finding Solace I suggest you give it a go. Happy Reading!!!
3.75 im angry alright. 3.75 is not a bad ratting at all, but at first 25/30% this was a FIVE FREAKING STAR BOOK. and just like that- HUNDRED THOUSAND MILLION TRILLION DUMB AND UNNECESSARY PLOT TWISTS HAPPENED. LIKE WHY 😭. but anyway it was fine
Finding Solace is book 3 in The Kings of Retribution series and another enjoyable addition to the series. I loved Reid, Mia and Ava, they made a wonderful family. The twist at the end was very emotional and my heart broke for them all. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.
Finding Solace was the third book in the Kings of Retribution MC series by Sandy Alvarez and Crystal Daniels. It was a quick, action packed and heart felt read.
Reid Carter was the Road Captain for the MC. He was born and raised in the MC and it was in his blood as the fiber of his being. Reid had been one of my favorite series characters from the beginning. He was gorgeous, smart, sexy, loyal and a totally protective alpha. He was everything I loved in a hero.
Mila Vaughn was the beautiful single mom and friend to Bella (Undaunted, book one). She was also a nurse and care taker for her ailing grandmother. She was strong, smart, loving and uber independent.
The storyline picked up shortly after book two ended, The Darkest of Light. Reid had gotten injured and left for dead in the snow. Finding Solace began with his release from the hospital after a month of recovery. He was surly and difficult, having to rely on help he wasn’t used to needing.
The storyline developed through Mila being the solution for Reid’s live in nurse during his recovery. They had an instant attraction from previous meetings but had never acted upon it or even remotely gotten to know each other until now. The authors took us through a multi-faceted plot revolving around their relationship development, Reid’s past losses and the impact upon his present life, Mila’s difficult childhood, the raising of a child as a single mother and MC bonding.
I loved everything about this series, the author’s writing style, the characters, the interesting storylines and the unexpected twists. Everything. A 5 star read, until the editing errors. This series, with Finding Solace as no exception, had too many errors, thus the 4 star rating.
With that said, I loved Finding Solace and can easily see me re-reading it. And although it was a journey, Solace was indeed found. I’m not sure what’s slated next , but the authors have been teasing us for Quinn’s story, so hopefully it’s time. I expect it to be filled with loads of humor and excitement and I can’t wait!
Wow ! Another great read for me on this ongoing series.I have to say I loved it from cover to cover and read it right up until the story ended. The main characters were awesome and just as love-able.I love all the characters in this entire series but, I have to say Quinn is just a hoot!
Reid what to say he sexy, broody,love-able hot a hell, charming ,smart and has sensitive side when we wants be but, also hurting and lost in his own pain and suffering.
Mila was my favorite as she had a sense of humor, brave, kind, caring, has a big heart, determined proud and has a backbone and is feisty and I loved everything about her.
Mila is just what Reid needs for him to get back to his old shelf again. The sparks and chemistry between them were super hot in and out of bed. They were super sweet together. They were a challenge for each other just what each need to overcome past hurts and personal demons.
I was a little bid in love with Reid even before he got his own story and I found him to be a little bit devilish and funny and made me smile more than once with his antics. If I wasn't a little bit in love beforehand I was after Mila's daughter gave him a present she made in school and gave it to him and his reaction was priceless and so out of character for him.
The aw......factor for sure !
The story had a great romance story that was super sweet and was heated and few twist turns and one very big surprise you never saw coming that just added the wow factor to a really enjoyable story with a great cast of characters that were funny,love-able ,interesting and you felt the love they had for one other in this MC family that they have created together.
I love when you connect with the characters that you read about and I was able to do that and it just made the story so much enjoyable as you new from the start that Reid and Mila were perfect for one another but needed to see how the journey began and ended.
So looking forward to reading more of this series. Each and every story I have read so far have been touching and heartfelt stories that I have loved from beginning to end each and every time.
My binge read of this series continues. I was really looking forward to Reid’s story & I enjoyed it but not as much as I thought I would. I think that might be more about me than the authors though. There were a couple of topics in the book that hit close to home so I found parts of it very sad. Also , there were still a lot of typos in this novel.
Reid has liked Bella’s friend , Mila, since he first laid eyes in her but when they have the opportunity to spend time together it isn’t in the way either of them would have chosen or predicted. Mila is a nurse & is assigned to care for Reid after his horrendous accident.
Character wise , Mila and Reid are both likeable. The secondary characters are great & I’m very much looking forward to both Jake and Quinn’s stories. Mila’s daughter , Ava, is very cutely written.
Plot wise it was similar to the other books but that didn’t bother me. I still enjoyed reading about this couple and the challenges they faced. There is very little angst , if any really, between them and I felt that this book could have stood a good dose of angst. What I thought was pretty awesome was the plot twist that I DID NOT see coming. Well played!
I’m heavily invested in this series & am leaping straight into book four.
HEA? Yes Cheating? No. Triggers? Violent attack on a woman.

Oh man, I'm bummed. I was really looking forward to this book because I was itching to get to Reid and Mila's story. But as sweet as they are together and with Ava, the story just fell a bit flat. It wasn't just low-angst it was almost no-angst. All of the conflict was wrapped up so quickly that I didn't have a chance to really feel anything about it. That said, Reid is BBF material and I'd totally be friends with Mila.
Okay first let me say hello could they have picked a better cover? I don’t know who this male model is but sweet baby Jesus he is stunning. If anyone knows please let me know. Okay now this story I’ve liked Reid since the beginning and this story DID NOT disappoint. I ended this crying but they are great tears. I absolutely loved this book. Mila was amazing also. Both such great characters.
Reid and Mila's soul-stirring story was a great addition to the The Kings of Retribution MC series. Lil' Ava, Mila's daughter was adorable and she got dips@it, Quinn every time with his cursing or should I say potty mouth! Love the way Jake, the Prez is the sounding board to these strong men of The Kings of Retribution MC.
Finding Solace is the third book in The King of Retribution MC, Montana Chapter Series, written by Crystal Daniels and Sandy Alvarez. The story revolves around the lives of Reid and Mila, whom we met in the previous books.
Reid faces a double tragedy that makes him bitter and forces him to deal with the hand he was dealt until a single mom, Mila, walks into his life and makes him feel whole again.
Although I was looking forward to this book, I felt the story fell a bit flat. With the situation surrounding Reid, I was expecting more angst, but it was barely there, which was disappointing. On the other hand, Mila's family was not good people, but not as bad as the villains in the first two books, so there was no real danger either.
Having read the first three books in the series, all of which I have rated three stars, you might wonder why I keep reading them. The answer is simple- the characters are freaking worth it. Although I have not got a story that fulfills all my expectations, I still enjoy reading about the whole gang, and that's enough for me because I am honestly obsessed with them. They feel like family.
If you're in the mood for a low-angst story with enough steam to keep you engaged and a well-deserved happy ending, I recommend you give this couple a chance.
Sweet easy read with interesting twists. Not much MC stuff. Some inconsistencies when talking about Reid’s “legs”. There are also little kids that talk normal and can be cute without a speech error.
Mila and Reid’s story is the third book in the series and I will say you probably need to read the prior two in order to understand some events in this one. I have read them but it was a long time ago so I was having a bit of trouble remembering what happened to Reid in the last book and it was only very very vaguely explained in this one. I think that was one of my biggest issues with this book is that it was just very surface level and a lot of things weren’t really explained very well. We pretty much glazed over Reid’s whole healing journey and the relationship development between Reid and Mila was nonexistent. They were just all of a sudden a couple after a few brief interactions - half of which were Reid being grouchy to her. The villains were not fleshed out well enough for me and it was resolved very fast. The connection with Reid’s brother Noah that was thrown in at the end felt out of place in my opinion. Some parts in the beginning were a little repetitive as well. I think it could have been better if it was just fleshed out more and the pacing was slowed down a bit.
I liked both Reid and Mila and I enjoyed the plot I couldn't really get into the story though and I think that had a lot to do with that I haven't read the other 2 books in this series, although they are spin-offs I felt at a loss with it. So maybe in the future, if I read the other books I could enjoy this one more. But I just didn't which is sad. I was looking forward to it. I couldn't connect with the characters or the story. Although it was good. I liked the writing.
4.5 Stars - Another great addition to the series. Loved the slow development of Reid and Mila's relationship. Reid finally is at peace with the losses he has experienced and Mila could not have been paired with a better partner. No cheating and a HEA. I really like the constant thread through this series of the love of family and the support family gives.
I absolutely love any books by these two writers. This one is my absolute favorite out of all of them. There was just something about this story line that grabbed you and pulled you in. I absolutely loved Mila,Ava and Reid. These three together were just amazing. Reid is recovering from an accident. He is in need of a nurse in care once he is released from the hospital. In walks Mila to help him. But little do either one of them know this is going to lead to so much more than either one of them expected. I love how Mila and Ava get under Reid's skin even when you dont think that they can. Mila is strong no matter what is thrown at her. I absolutely loved her character and the fact that she never bends over for anyone. Amazingly written with great character chemistry. A great story line with depth, character and love. I cant wait to read more from these two.
THAT FREAKING TWIST!!!!! WHHAATT?!?!? Sometimes though weather we want it to or not things happen for a reason. Just like grandma charlotte says god has a plan for us and we don’t pray for change, we pray for us to get through the rough patch’s in our lives. God has a reason for what he does and why we are walking on the path that we do. To be completely honest majority of the people around you will not like your path, but guess what who cares. I had to learn that lesson the hard way. Please don’t sit there and try to make your life how somebody else wants you to because at the end of the day you will never be happy. Sometimes people don’t have their own families in their life or the support that they need, so please be grateful when you do Live for yourself and the little family you create.

3.5 stars. This was so sweet. I won’t lie. I saw the big reveal coming from about a mile away. To be honest, by the halfway point in the book I was getting impatient for the reveal to happen already. But I do think it happened at a pretty good pace. I was just impatient to be validated.
This book is a lot less violent than the last two. Things have calmed down substantially, and Reid is just having to go through PT and work through recovering from the car hitting him.
It was sweet and had just enough steam to tide me over. Though I could always go for more.
I’m glad I picked it up. It was satisfying getting to see Mika get her HEA with Reid. Plus seeing all the other characters and how they’re doing is always fun.
Mila Vaughn is a single mother who is trying her best to be the best she can be as a role model and provider for her daughter. Her family had turned their back on her and she never thought twice about her life in Polson but times are tough and she finds herself applying for a job as Reid Carter's live in nurse.
Reid doesn't want help, especially live in help but when Mila comes to interview he hires her. Reid has had a crush on Mila for awhile but Reid doesn't trust women especially with the scars of his past but Mila is unlike any woman he has met.
This was great, I was anxious to read about Reid and how his story would unfold. I really liked Mila, she could easily have cowered to Reid's attitude but she didn't. Wonderful series.
Ried is hurt in an accident and needs help of a nurse at home. Mila is there nurse but family problems follow her but her new mc family is there to protect.
Awwwww what a beautiful read. Reid was one of the quiet bikers and he needed help after an accident since he was on a wheelchair. He was adamant at first but then gave in to the help; that was until the nurse that showed up was no other than Mila, the woman he secretly had a crush on.
Reid has a prosthetic and didn’t want Mila feeling pity for him or feeling disgusted. Unbeknown to him, Mila also had a crush on him but had her little girl that occupied her time. In order to be Reid’s nurse when he finally stopped being stubborn and accepted her help, she had to live with him.
At first Reid and Mila didn’t know how to act around each other but the chemistry was there. They gave in to the pull and a beautiful relationship started. They were perfect for each other and accepted each other for who they are with baggage and all.
Their relationship was drama free. There was an incident with Mila’s parents in which Reid proved that he was the real deal. There was an unexpected twist that knocked me down like whoa. I didn’t see it coming and it was a complete shocker. But they recovered and it made their relationship stronger.
This is like the fourth book I've read by these authors, this being the third in this series. And I don't know why I continue. This is just a series I'm reading because I'm not ready for the commitment of starting an ACTUAL series that I think I would like. 💀💀 So I'm spending my time reading these trashy books. Excuse my rudeness. ✋️ And to be honest, I don't like the series and the insta love (which I expected since its a biker series.) BUT they don't even know eachother favourite colour or their favourite childhood memory. Generic shit like that which doesn't make their love believable to me. I don't know, it's all just cringe and I'm literally not taking the books seriously. 😭 Its just crap but I'm reading them. (Can't explain that shit)
Happy... I'm so happy... Another MC book from a series that I can't get out of my head and from two authors that have an amazing chemistry. Crystal Daniels and Sandy Alvarez are the bomb writing MC Books.... Dayum... Those books... Their writing is intense and forbidden, wild and free. With all the stuff that will make you dream and wish a few forbidden things... Finding Solace is their latest release and tells the stories of Reid and Mila. But before I tell you a little bit more about this story I need to tell you something. Despite all books are standalones you should read the entire series first, The Kings of Retribution MC, is a series that you can't miss. Go for it and then let me know. Reid is the Road Captain for the Kings of Retribution. He's not a rookie in this life, he grew up around the MC world and he lives for it. The day his little brother died was and still is his worst nightmare. Even after 4 years he's a lost soul, a grumpy and bitter guy until the beautiful Mila make an appearance. She will be taking care of him because he had an horrific accident but things will not be easy. Mila is a single mom struggling to raise her daughter. She returned to the town that made her happy to not only to raise her daughter but also to become a nurse. She doesn't want a relationship but when the charismatic Reid enters her life things will change. Jesus I knew that I was about to enter into a world of caos and madness but this just overcome everything. The plot is superb, very well written, super engaging and intense. The interation between the characters started bumpy but it changed with every flip of a page. The story started in a way that I thought I was gonna find a peaceful story but then bamm, it was caos. Things were happening in a way that I wanted to see what the hell happened... I couldn't put the book down. Oh girls, this series is getting better and hotter and being a greedy girl I always want more. When can I have the next book from this series?? Soon I hope. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
What can I say about Reid and Mila? This was an amazing couple, so lonely and hurting but together they are magic! Reid goes through the motions of life. Sure he loves his MC, his brothers, his work but that is all he has. Now laid up in the hospital all he has is time to think, to remember the last time he was in the hospital and what he lost. Mila is one strong woman. Raising her daughter alone after her parents turned her out for daring to mess with the plans they made for her life. Her childhood full of neglect had only one bright spot, her summers with her grandma. So that is where she ran to with her newborn daughter almost five years ago. Laid off suddenly from her nursing job, she needs money coming in. So when Reid gets released from the hospital, he needs help. Mila's boss sends her. She is the one girl that Reid has been really attracted to but doesn't want to open himself up, to take that chance. Mila has never had anyone she can count on besides her grandma, so why try now? With Mila and her daughter around, he finally feels alive. He doesn't want to go back to feeling empty. Will Reid and Mila figure out their happily ever after or will it all just end in loneliness?
This book was amazing! The attraction and connection Reid and Mila have is so right, it is almost effortless. Finding Solace is just that, two people finding the love, the home that will get you through the hard stuff life throws at you. This series just keeps getting better and better, I cannot wait to see what this sister duo of Daniels and Alvarez dream up next!
This series is my new addiction. I have loved each one I have read and get more and more engrossed into this MC and its members stories. Crystal and Sandy have quickly jumped up the list of must read authors because the skill in which they deliver their stories. I get so emotionally invested in their character's stories that you just know that the story is well written when you can feel their emotions. When you are ready to jump in and shake the crap out of the characters to pull their heads out of their butts.
I did not see this book playing out like it did and I freaking love that!! Mila was raised with no a want in the world except for the love and acceptance from her parents. After years of trying she finally does what makes her happy but things are about to put her happiness and possibly her life in danger. Reid is once again recovering in the hospital and isn't the best person to be around. He hasn't been the same since he lost his brother and isn't showing the best side of himself.
The attraction and chemistry between Mila and Reid makes it hard to deny but they both have some stuff to work through and Reid isn't being the nicest person in the world. Sweet little Ava is adorable and she is going to break down some of those walls Reid has. Their is no way to not love that girl. Talk about a sweetheart!!
Anyways I highly recommend this book and series. I am always eagerly awaiting for the next one and I am looking forward to more from The Knights of Retribution MC men.
Sandy Alvarez & Crystal Daniels continue to build a series that grows to be more and more incredible with each book they write. They blew me away with their debut novel, amazed me with the second addition to the series, and now with Finding Solace I have no words for how outstanding this book truly is. Finding Solace takes everything I adore about their writing and these characters and ramps it up a thousand times. I could have easily lived with my head in this book for all time and been one very happy woman.
Masters at creating full alpha males that are still loving and gentle men with their women and families, Sandy and Crystal deliver the perfect man in Reid. Definitely not flawless, but perfect nonetheless, Reid was so easily to fall in love with. Even at his lowest the true beauty of his kind soul shines through. That doesn’t take away one bit from the all male bada#$ biker that he is, but it does make him extra delicious. I adored him not only with Mila, but with Mila’s daughter Ava also. Quickly becoming a caring male role model in her life, it was precious to see the big bad biker fall so hard for an adorable little girl.
Mila is one strong woman with a heart of gold. A true momma bear she loves fiercely and dedicates her life to caring for others. Her brightness was exactly what Reid needed in his life making these two a couple that I couldn’t help but adore! Between the heart melting romance and epic twists and turns, Finding Solace was a book I lost my self in almost immediately!
