This was a book for children ages 0-2. The book asks the children what is behind certain objects like a house, a bucket, a tree, etc. When the children unfold the flap there is an animal behind the object and it says in big letters what sound the animal makes. It teaches them different farm animals like cows, sheep, pigs, and many more. I think that this is a good educational tool for children because it teaches them to match which sounds go with each specific animal and they can put them together. The flaps are also big enough that they can unfold them on their own which will keep their interest throughout the book because they will want to see whats under the flap on each page. Since there is not a lot of words on the pages and the pictures are very vivid the children can use their imagination to tell the story as they go.

This book is a great way to teach farm animals and the appropriate sounds they make. It is also helpful that the illustrations add background information of farm life (barns, tractors, hay fields, etc). The flap books, bright colors and durable cardboard pages allow young children to engage with this book. This book would be useful to assess a child's identification of animals and animal sounds.

This board book "with BIG flaps to lift" features farm animals and the sounds they make. Nicely illustrated and just right for little ones to enjoy.

This one and its sister book "Can You say It, Too? Woof Woof" get a lot of play with my early toddler. The cut out shapes have enough room around the edges that they are very easy to grasp. She does have a bit of difficulty switching between the flaps that open to the right and those that fold down which has endangered the the up-down flaps with the possibility of ripping and bending. The last page is especially dangerous with double flaps and cut out creatures. I'd recommend reinforcing the book with book tape before circulation. The story is great- short but entertaining. I like Braun's illustrations a lot too- they seem to be digital but uses a pencil-like brush for the detail which adds texture.

Lift the flap books can be fun. Farm books can be fun. So this seems like an easy choice for parents with little ones. It's simple. Very simple. The emphasis is on the sounds farm animals make. I'm not sure it's unique enough to be a WOW book. Personally, my FAVORITE book in this sub-genre is Pig-a-Boo! by Dorothea DePrisco published by Simon & Schuster. It has flaps and is also a touch-and-feel book. Do you have a favorite farm animal book for little ones?

Can you Say It, Too? Moo! Moo! features animals that live at a farm. The animals included in this book are cows, roosters, horses, sheep, and pigs with piglets. Other animals make an appearance on the pages, but the previously mentioned animals are behind flaps and everyone can say the sound together with the text. It's a cute book and easy to share.

This flap book shows hints of the animal behind the flap. It is peppered with animal sounds paired the animal’s name. It’s actually been pretty highly praised, but I found nothing in it to disappoint and nothing in it to blow me away.

After Can You Say It, Too? Woof! Woof! was a big hit with my daughter, we checked this one out the next time we went to the library. At nineteen months old, she loves this one, too. I like that the flaps are easy for her to lift and difficult for her to tear. Plus who doesn't like to make animal sounds? She's well into the mimicking phase, so this is fun to read with her.

This board book is great for young children because there are flaps to lift up to see what animals are hiding behind them. This guessing game keeps kids engaged in the story and will surely assist in recall, as well.

We've got the Welsh bilingual version and it's completely adorable. The illustrations are bright and fun, and my toddler loves lifting the flaps to find the animals - especially on the last page where you lift up mummy pig to find her 'moch bach bywiog' (cheeky piglets). :)

I love the sturdy, easy to lift flaps on this board book. The prose is a simple question/answer format: Who’s behind the ____? It’s a ____! (insert animal sound here). My granddaughter asks to read this over and over.
