Tim Bogenn was born in Grosse Pointe Michigan, moved to California's bay area in the early '90s where he started working at Sony Computer Entertainment of America just months before the launch of the first PlayStation. After three years with SCEA he began writing video game strategy guides for BradyGames Publishing. Since 1998 he has written well over 100 strategy guides, the most popular being from the Grand Theft Auto series. Tim currently lives in Greenville, North Carolina. Tim and his wife Jennifer currently own and operate two successful businesses together: Inmotion Media Transfer and zeroGravity Studio & Productions. ein schön gestalteter guide: festes cover, zusätzliche grafiken ergänzen die optische opulenz, informative landkarten und schritt für schritt-beschreibungen für jede mission. wie immer bei den bradygames-guides ist das buch eine wertvolle hilfe für das finden der raumschiffteile und briefschnipsel, monsterstunts und messerflügen, brückenunterflügen, usw. usf.
sehr gefreut hat mich auch die komplette fahrzeugliste, die im guide zu gtaIV leider gefehlt hat.

leider sind einige fehler im guide, die schmerzen: ein raumschiffteil ist laut guide mittels eines fallschirmsprunges erreichbar - das ist aber getesteterweise unnmöglich. man findet die korrekte lösung für dieses teil in youtube, aber wozu dann ein lösungsbuch?
die karte von los santos ist so sehr verkleinert, dass es zum teil sehr mühsam ist, bestimmte sachen zu finden, was die augen ermüdet. besser wäre gewesen, die karte in "los santos" und "blaine county" aufzuteilen. dadurch wären mehr details erkennbar gewesen und orte besser zu finden.
in manchen karten habe ich überdies kleine fehler gefunden. wenn alle details in dem guide getestet worden wären, wäre das nicht passiert, daher die zwei sterne abzug: ich erwarte von einem guide fehlerlosigkeit!

A nice collector's reference and single player guide.

This GTA guide is a guide in the truest sense, being bare bones in telling the story of the characters and area you explore, and after a few sections on gameplay and vehicles, shoves right into the story mode missions. There is no discernible section for mission grouping, as they are all chronological.

The hardcover binding makes for excellent storage and reference flipping for those interested in finding out where rare vehicles are hidden. Maps showcase large areas but are only minutely detailed outside of their graphical applications.

There is not much here for the collector, but this is an incredible single player guide.

Recommended for players, perhaps not collectors except those interested in the series.
