I love Sheri’s books. They are so filled of emotion and difficult subjects that some feel taboo. Natalie was in the WITSEC program because she saw her mob boyfriend kill an associate. She was a mistress to this mob guy and everyone thought bad of her. Yes , it was wrong but no one is perfect and she turned him in to the police knowing he would try to kill her. Zack who was her security field inspector who kinda judged her when he found out Natalie was the mistress to a mob boss. After getting to know her, he found out she was just as much a victim and she wanted to better herself. I just loved this book. I like how Sheri talked about Zack heritage as a Sioux Indian and explained his ancestors history. Natalie wasn’t a bad person, she was eighteen when she met her boyfriend and had no idea he was married. He told her the old story that he was divorcing his wife, of course he had no plans to divorce her. Natalie and Zack eventually fell in love even though at the time it was wrong but true love won in the end.
