Windy Hall stood staring at her new roommate. Over 6 feet of gorgeous, long dark hair, striking blue eyes of Native American descent. Why on earth had she told Edith her landlord that Skylar Reed was welcome to move in for the summer.
Windy was a preschool teacher with no family. She loved her students and hoped that some day she would have a family of her own. But at 26 she had never dated, hardly ever shared a kiss. Sky made her have all kinds of thoughts that she would normally dismiss but he just felt right in her world.
Sky had a dark past. An accident had caused amnesia but he felt in his heart that he had abandoned a child. How could a woman who spent her days nurturing 4 year olds ever accept a man who willing walked away from his own.
This has been my favorite of Ms Whitefeathers books. The female was not overly dramatic and the male was as always a tortured soul but very lovable.
3 Stars! ~ Skylar's in town only short term. His foster mother asks him to room mate with Windy, her tenant. Windy's apartment and others where single woman are living, have been broken into and vandalized. When he meets Windy, she takes his breath away. Windy's a pre-school teacher on summer vacation. She learns that Skylar has been burdened for the past 16 years with not knowing who he is, he's been suffering from amnesia. He has some memories and has nightmares. He's never wanted to share his private thoughts, but Windy makes him want to bare it all, but he's afraid she won't like what she sees.
This is one of Ms. Whitefeather's early books. I enjoyed it very much.

I thought this book would be better. The story was good but got very boring front start to middle. Windy was very annoying with her can't to that because of my pure virtue and sickly sweet character. I did like the mystery of Sky and his lost of memory. Loved the snake and Sky's animal totem beliefs. Hopefully Jesse story a bit more exciting.
If you're into romance/trashy love novel. This was pretty good. It had it all, tormented handsome native, native legends, sparkly cowboys and wind blown preschool teachers. It was a good read.
