About the author

Mary Eason

56 books28 followers
Mary Eason grew up in a small Texas town famous for, well not much of anything really. Being the baby of the family and quite a bit younger than her brothers and sister, Mary had plenty of time to entertain herself. Making up stories seem to come natural to her.

As a pre-teen, Mary discovered romance novels and knew instinctively that was what she wanted to do with her over-active imagination.

She wrote her first novel as a teen, (it's tucked away somewhere never to see the light of day), but never really pursued her writing career seriously until a few years later, when she wrote her first romantic comedy and was hooked.

Today, Mary still lives in Texas, and still writes about romance. In fact, she can't think of anything else she'd rather do.

Alex is out for revenge and he’s got his sights on Kate, through her he intends to make her father suffer as he’s suffered for the last ten years. But Alex hadn’t figured on falling for Kate the moment he set eyes on her his vendetta forgotten.

Numerous explicit sex scenes.

Yikes. I could not believe I managed to finish this. Yes, there is a lot of eye rolling and barfing gestures in my end but still, I managed to put on my big girl panties and finish this. That's the least I can do for the effort of Ms. Eason.

What is wrong with this story?
a.) Strangers who have known each other for less than a day decides to get married because of love(?). Who does that really? Love at first sight or not, it is a crazy ass idea and not at least romantic.
b.) Kate is a big softie, she's kind of a pushover. She can't even control herself around the guy she labelled she repulsed. How hard is it to walk away or push the guy off of her? It's not like Alex is holding her captive and pointing a gun to her temple. She says she hates the guy but she permits him to get close enough to kiss her, even sleep with her.
c.) Can Alex get it around his head that a girl needs her time and space? What he does following her to Denver with an unknown address is a red light going off: STALKER ALERT.

I hope this kind of comments will be used for further improvements on her next novels.

Kate and Alex's romance occurred really swiftly. it can be said they were swept off the collective feet lol. with such a hot romance there was bound to be things that was revealed after. what i found annoying was that kate kept doing her running man thing everytime she was hit with a roadblock. yes i got the first time but the others was just too much.

alex was cool and a bit scary with his connections shows what money can do hey.

i liked the book though because they showed with communication even a little manipulation things can happen and low in the way you want it(not an evil way)
