A lovely, engaging book about more than a century of domestic architecture--and these houses' owners--on Madeline Island.

This is a fun and quick book to read. The photography is amazing and the history of the cabins and the families who built them is interesting. Having gone periodically to Madeline Island since I was a child, this was an interesting book and a good way to see the inside of these cabins. Lake Superior is one of my favorite bodies of water and it makes me yearn for warmer weather and a trip north to see both the lake and Madeline island again.
