Good book on dating with a purpose. Common theme-dating is not for mating. It’s for collecting data. The letters she shared was relatable. I chuckled at her telling it like it is responses. Helped me setting realistic standards for dating and identifying dealbreakers.

So what is the “Real Deal” on men and dating? I think that Michelle puts forth a comprehensive explanation of all things related to men, dating, relationships, and marriage. She doesn’t avoid any topics and approaches each of them head on with bold enthusiasm. I found her approach to dating refreshing – she explains that it is not for “mating” but for “fact finding”. It’s used as a way to find out if you’ll have a lasting relationship with someone. She also addresses online dating, expectations in relationships, setting boundaries, and even divorce.
Another thing that I appreciate about this book is that Michelle includes letters she’s received from women from all over and then her response to those issues. It is always helpful to hear from other women who have the same (or similar) issues as you do. I found a lot of her responses to be helpful and straightforward.
On a note of caution, I would say that I “heard” Michelle emphasizing a lot about self. There were a few times I interpreted what she was saying as “rely on you to change things”. She did emphasize the Lord’s role in it, but there was a lot of focus on getting the “life you want”. As I said in my post about self, I don’t think it’s about us getting anything. I don’t think it’s about us at all. Sure, it would be great to “get” a husband, but that’s not the ultimate goal, Christ is.
With these slight reservations, I’d definitely recommend this book! I think her practical applications and the wide range of subjects that are portrayed definitely make this a good resource. As you’d do with any book you’d turn to for advice, read with caution and discernment always turning back to the Bible for the final word on anything.

There is a lot of advice in this book! Most of the helpful tips were easy to understand and implement. I also liked that this book covered the different phases in life that women are interacting with men. I felt that by covering the different relationships she was able to offer some well rounded and great advice. I gave this book 5/5 stars. I liked her writing style, which was not condemning in any way! I would recommend this book to any woman looking to improve her relationships with the men around her. I also would recommend any of her other book which are all helpful and well written!
I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

I really love this book because Michelle M. Hammond advice women to stay focus on God by guarding their heart and live the life as women should deserve which is meeting new people, and sharing interest with others. She responds to different types of situation whether a woman who has a man in her life to single ladies seeking a man in her life.

The funny thing is that there is nothing new under the sun and yet we make things so difficult by believing we are different or the situation is special or the long list of excuses we give ourselves. The best advice this book gave is when a man say's something just believe him!!
