is 30% done with Only the Wind: I've discovered another trope I love to write: two strong-minded, protective characters in love who try to out-protect the other...and both end up sounding like absolute idiots who give everyone within radius secondhand embarrassment
and I say this as someone who *hates* secondhand embarrassment
