From the New York Times bestselling author of the Fixed Trilogy.

He's ready for his close up, but she's the one calling the shots.

On the night of her graduation from film school, straight-laced Maddie Bauers fell completely out of character for an oh-my-god make-out session with a perfect stranger. Complete with the big O.

Seven years later, that romantic interlude is still fresh in her mind. That stranger is now a rich and famous actor. And she's one very distracted camera assistant working on his latest production. She might consider another tryst...if he even remembers her.

Micah Preston does indeed remember Maddie. Too bad he's sworn off Hollywood relationships. He allows himself as much sex as he likes--and oh, he does like--but anything more is asking for trouble. For the woman, not for him. Yet knowing Maddie could want more than a movie-set fling doesn't stop him from pursuing her like a moth drawn to hot stage lights.

But as the shoot nears its end, it's decision time. Is it time to call, "Cut!" on their affair, or is there enough material for a sequel?

Contains a dreamy movie star hero, a focus-pulling heroine, off-the-charts instant chemistry, steamy sex in near-public locations, and a new use for lip gloss.

Maddie is a good girl. she does what she is told and doesn't do anything wrong. The night she met Micah she went a little wild, and every encounter after that gets more intense. Micah makes her feel every emotion imaginable at once; Anger, Passion, Lust, Sadness. She starts to fall heads over heels for him but she has seen enough to know that he will never make this a permanent arrangement, and she doesn't know if it hurts more to stay or leave.

Micah loves his job, but that doesn't mean he hasn't made any sacrifices. He gave up a chance at a real relationship and in his line of business it seems nearly impossible. He doesn't know who he can trust, he doesn't know who wants him for him and not his fame and money. Maddie makes him re-evaluate everything. He wants her and he is starting to trust her, but can it ever be anything more than sex? can he put someone else before his career and himself?

This was such a cute book, it was sweet, romantic, and sexy. The characters bring out the best and worst in each other; Love and jealousy make their appearance. I feel like Hollywood would be exactly like this, it seemed like this book was incredible realistic. The characters struggled with themselves, with each other, and the paparazzi. They don't know whats going to happen and that scares them, but as the story progresses the characters change. I don't think anyone can read this book and not give it FIVE STARS!

A second chance-ish romance between a Hollywood star and a camera assistant. Micah and Maddie met seven years ago at a wrap party just before Micah became the Hollywood icon that he is now. The two had an instant connection that ended with an orgasm and an exchange of numbers, but Maddie never heard from him again.

Fast forward to seven years later, Maddie is now a camera assistant and is requested to work on a film with a director she abhors. But since the cameraman is someone she respects and has worked with on other projects, she agrees to do it. Surprise, surprise, the lead actor of the film is none other than Micah Preston.

Since he seems to have forgotten about her, Maddie wants to get over it and do her job, but Micah has other ideas. He wants her and will do everything to have her.

It's hot and it was fun to see their banter when they're not trying to bite each other's heads off. Although I have to admit there were times I wanted to hate on Micah for being so hot/cold and Maddie for being so naive at times. I do love their conversations about film, and when they talked about their passions. It was nice to see them get close to each other, and not just, you know, the sexy times. But hey, I'm not complaining at all.

I also love reading about the behind-the-scenes in making a film. It was written vividly and I felt transported, like I was on set with them. If you're into that as much as I am, you'll like that aspect in this book.

Lots of steamy scenes here, so expect heat. Overall, it was an enjoyable read, so if you're looking for a Hollywood story, you'll enjoy reading Sex Symbol

“Micah Preston is Hollywood’s #1 sex symbol.”

Sex Symbol is the second Laurelin Paige book I have read in a month and I very much enjoyed both of them. Her writing is impeccable and has the ability to keep me fully engaged from start to finish. The plot and dialogue was fun, sexy and easy-going. This in turn made it a thoroughly enjoyable second-chance love story about a famous Hollywood sex symbol and a camera assistant who reunite, and discover the fire between them is far from burnt out…

“Of course, there was Maddie. He’d just met her and, hell, he knew hardly anything about her, but his attraction to her ran deep. He was certain that if he saw her again he’d want to see her again and again and again. She couldn’t be just a fuck fling.”

Sex Symbol centers around two characters, Maddie and Micah. They meet one night at Maddie’s graduation and instantly sparks ignite. There was such a powerful force pulling them towards each other and the chemistry and attraction was electrifying and sizzled right off the pages.

Due to certain circumstances it wasn’t meant to be and they went their separate ways. As a result, Micah avoids serious relationships and decides to focus on his career and make it big in Hollywood. Maddie takes her own path as a camera assistant.

“No strings, no burdens – it was definitely the way to go. Even though he sometimes yearned for a more substantial relationship, Micah could be happy as a playboy.”

Fast forward seven years, Maddie and Micah are bought back together again. Are all the old feelings between them dead and buried or will seeing each other bring up all their old feelings? Are their feelings for each other even stronger the second time around…?

Micha thought he would never see Maddie again and to say he was pleasantly surprised was an understatement. If you’re anything like me and love a great alpha hero, then I suggest you meet Micah. He was everything I imagined and more; a cocky, arrogant bad boy and a total playa with a real soft side… and… oh so sexy.

“You're going to break me," she whispered. But she was wrong. "You're the one who's going to break me."

“She would. He knew it now. She was going to break him into so many pieces he wouldn't be able to recognize himself. And he was totally looking forward to it.”

If you’re anything like me and love a beautiful, strong, sassy, but sweet heroine then I’m sure you will fall in love with Maddie as much as I did. She held all the attributes of the perfect heroine for me. She had developed a successful career as a camera assistant and lands herself probably the most important job of her career; both personally and professionally. She becomes the camera assistant of Micah’s newest Hollywood blockbuster. Will she be immune to Micah’s charms or will she give in to her intense attraction towards the Hollywood heart-throb and end up in the place she was trying to avoid… his bed?

The only downer for me was that I wished it was written in dual POV rather than the third person but that’s just me. All in all I really enjoyed Sex Symbol and would recommend this story to anyone who loves their Hollywood /second chance love stories. It was a fun, easy to read story with great characters and a well developed plot that is sure to keep you fully captivated throughout.

This book REALLY surprised me. I’m not a fan of light-hearted books. I picked up this book because it was on Kindle Unlimited and I was looking for a smutty book. You know something with no depth, but I was totally wrong!

This book is really good, it’s polished, it’s witty and I read it in one sitting. I was smiling the ENTIRE time I was reading and I wanted to read another book by the author when I finished.

I read this book blindly too, so I was really happy when I was done.

Micah and Maddie meet one night seven years ago and this was before he became famous. Now he’s mega rich, mega famous and a mega heartthrob. The only downfall for Maddie? She has to work on his movie set.

Think of all of the typical movie theme romance books and throw them out the window because this book doesn’t have it. The angst level is low, but the storyline has enough tension to keep you focus and hooked.

Micah and Maddie act like rational adults throughout the book and I was rooting for the both of them. Micah doesn’t want anything serious because he doesn’t believe Hollywood relationships can work, but he can’t keep his eyes off of Maddie.

I really liked Micah. I liked how the book focuses on him working as an actor as a craft, not as some asshole pretty boy getting laid.

Maddie is witty, smart and driven. She works as a camera assistant and not the typical actress you usually see the Heroines play.

I like how Maddie and Micah work together and build towards something.

I hadn’t read a Paige book in awhile and I don’t know why I stopped. Sex Symbol made me realize how much I love her.

I'm giving this one...

descriptiondescriptiondescriptiondescription

**** 4 Seductive Lip Bites ****

Micah Preston is Hollywood's sexiest bachelor.

description

He's rich, famous and an eternal playboy. He doesn't believe in long-term romantic relationships in the Hollywood limelight. After all, they never seem to work, someone always gets hurt, and they are sure fire way to distract you from what your main focus should be... advancing your career. And, when you're as famous as Micah, you always have to wonder if someone is truly interested in you or rather what you can do for them.

description

Maddie Bauer is a camera assistant on Micah's latest movie.

description

However, this isn't the first time Micah & Maddie's paths have crossed. The two had a chance encounter 7 years ago at a late night party when they both sought out some quiet solitude amidst the party goers. They accidentally stumbled upon one another in a darkened corner of the yard, and soon got swept away in a heated moment of passion.

description

Despite their desire to see each other again after the party fun had ended, circumstances kept the two apart. The pair never imagined they'd be working together on a movie set 7 years later. While Maddie is determined not to be distracted by the Hollywood playboy and keep their interactions strictly professional, Micah seems determined to right the wrong he made all those years ago and pursue the one he let get away.

descriptiondescriptiondescription

This is a celebrity, second chance romance with some yummy steaminess told from dual POVs. These two characters spend several years apart and it's no secret they are involved with other people over the course of those years. I know this can annoy some readers, but the time they spent apart was absolutely necessary... IMO. The two MCs needed the time apart to grow as people and to find out what was really important in life. Plus, the two were never truly "together" after their first chance encounter. What I really wanted in this book was an epilogue. It felt a tad rushed at the end for me and I didn't feel entirely satisfied with how it wrapped up. No epilogue = Bummer. I was also a tad annoyed with Maddie regarding some of the situations she got so upset about. Some of the drama she was perpetuating had me like...

description

But, overall... this was a good read!

Sex Symbol is a very appropriate title to describe our Hero Micah and I loved this pairing. Micah the famous and sexy actor and Maddie, the down to earth assistant camera person. I like that they were both part of the business but in completely different roles.

We meet these two at party where Maddie and her friend Bree came to celebrate their graduation from film school. The instant attraction these two felt was hot! Right after making plans to meet again, Micah gets the news he's been waiting for. His new agent lays it all out, he is to work harder than anyone else and have no attachments to distract him, dooming his intent to get to know Maddie more.

Maddie is disappointed she never hears from Micah again but moves toward her goals to being a director. Unfortunately, when she meets Micah again, 7 years later, only one of them made their dreams come true.

This was a fun second chance romance between two people getting their start in Hollywood. Second chance romances are tricky for me because I struggle with the reason for the distance. In this case, I actually think the time apart was necessary and wouldn't have wanted it any other way for them. It made their love story more believable. And that ending! That ending was so good and so worth the read! Loved it! I voluntarily read this advanced copy.

You know how you often wonder as a reader how you would rate a book you've read 2-3 years ago? Well I have now my answer. It's clearly stated in the blurb that Sex Symbol has been previously published as Take Two. As a fan of all things Laurelin Paige write, I already read the book many years ago. I knew who Micah Preston was and I was often wondering why this book didn't get the attention it deserved. At the time, I wasn't reviewing books so I never got the chance to declare how I loved Micah & Maddie's story but they always stayed on my mind. When I heard the book had a completely makeover, I was thrilled, finally Micah, Hollywood most eligible bachelor, would get his chance at spotlight and I would get my answer to know if I would rate a book the same way I did years ago.

description

"We have to deal with it. With whatever is going on between us. Because it's not going away"

I relished every minute of this story. Micah & Maddie are meant to be together for as long as they know each other. The first chance to be together was completely stolen when Micah had the chance to see his career starts.

Their story has the same effect on me. I was head of heels in love with both MC. Maddie is a sweet loving woman who is a little sentimental when it comes to her relationship. She knows it and she's trying to protect herself. Easily falling in love with men she meets, she knows from the start Micah is dangerous for her heart.

Micah is reluctant to all things related to relationship. He has his own idea and he also knows that things never last in the business. Is he willing to let what he works so hard to achieve go for someone else?

"You can't know what you do to me. You can't possibly have any idea at all"

description

I've loved all the behind the scenes we get. There were lots of details and it was like I was part of the crew and had to witness what was happening. The fact that Maddie & Micah are both driven was absolutely captivating. I couldn't stop the page to turn. Their banter at any time, either when they were in bed or when they were talking about movies, was fascinating and gripping.

Their chemistry was everywhere and obvious. Feelings were quickly there but it was still believable thanks to their brief moment they had years ago. No unnecessary drama which was a huge plus, their story focus on them and only them.

I would highly recommend Sex Symbol to any of you who want to spend a good time with a sweet & sexy book that will captivate your mind and carry you away from your day to day life.

I'm a HUGE Laurelin Paige fan!! She writes some of the best alpha-makes I've ever read. Micah is her swooniest make lead yet!! He's handsome, sexy, and sweet. Although he's a bit stubborn at times, he still stole my heart. I love him!

Here's the breakdown:. Maddie meets Micah at a film school graduation party. They hit it off immediately, but circumstances get the way. Micah is intensely attracted to her, but makes a decision to place his career above love.

Here's what I loved:. Ummm....Micah!! He's yummy! Actually, I enjoyed most of the characters in this one. Baddie is focused, hard-working, and dedicated. She and Mich pair well and the sexual chemistry is off the charts!
The storyline is entertaining. Its fast paced and held me entranced from cover to cover.
The writing, as always with Laurelin, is impeccable!

Overall, Sex Symbol is engaging, entertaining, and sure to please all romance lovers. I'm still swooning over Micah! But it, read it, love it!

I am so frustrated with Sex Symbol. I do not mind sophisticated, slow burn, clever plot or conversation. Especially when the author can get my attention.

Sex Symbol is none of that. The back and forth is really frustrating. I was really skeptical picking up this book. Against my better judgement, I picked it up. Now I regret it.

What I wouldn't give for this book but for the roles to be reversed! Is it really that hard to write a heroine that likes sex and is famous while the hero is the lowly camera guy? Guess it's too difficult for authors to imagine 😒

Sex Symbol by Laurelin Paige is a quintessential Hollywood romance done right!!! This book was highly entertaining as it had every element that I loved. It had strong characters, fun and sexy dialogue, and had that sweet charm to keep you riveted. I love how Paige allowed readers to see and feel the attraction that Micah and Maddie had before and after they had reconnected several years later. It was great to see two characters that just fit and boy oh boy, these two were definitely made for each other. The writing was entertaining and the sexual chemistry between the characters were undeniable. So what else is there to say but go read this book because trust me when I tell you Laurelin Paige will not have you yelling cut because you will be begging her for more of Micah and Maddie.

I absolutely adored and devoured this sweet second chance romance! It kept me up waaaayyyyy past my bedtime and had the perfect amount of angst, steam, and heart.

I loved Micah and Maddie! I was surprised by how quickly I became emotionally invested in them both individually and together. It's a testament to how well written and realistic these characters were. Micah is so jaded thanks to his history that he doesn't believe relationships can coexist and thrive with a successful career in Hollywood. Maddie has a tendency to run, but is a hopeless romantic at heart. The issues they face like paparazzi and the loss of privacy may not be normal, but the underlying fears, insecurities, and baggage certainly are.

My emotions were all over the place reading this book. One minute, my heart was happy as Micah and Maddie let their walls down and embraced their feelings for each other, and the next I would feel a twist in my chest as they would stumble and make mistakes that hurt the other. I think that's why I liked them both so much though. They are both perfectly imperfect, navigating these new waters as best they can. The build-up and anticipation in the book was fantastic and it made the journey that much more enjoyable. I would have loved to see an epilogue, but at the same time, I love the unknown possibility. I definitely recommend this wonderfully sweet and entertaining romance!

Please note, Sex Symbol was previously published under the title Take Two.

3.5 cute, quick stars!

I am a huge Paige fan, especially since Hudson Pierce entered my world, so i was looking forward to anything she was going to write!

I will start by saying I was sucked in completely with the first few pages...I had very high hopes that I was going to be falling hard, but then Micah Preston ruined my high!
Superstar

Ugh, This man was a pain in my ass from the get go, and honestly I had a hard time really connecting with him, let alone ever really giving him my approval! He is a young actor about to embark on a life of fame...his quick meet and connection to film school grad Maddie was unexpected and hot! Too bad his chance to be a megastar was more important than "Maddie from the party"....DELETE, yep he threw away her # and never looked back!

Seven years later, now famous, and quite the ladies man...fate has brought the sweet and smart Maddie front and center to his movie set

Does he remember her? He acts a complete fool...Why does she even care?

So begins the chemistry, the flirty banter, the I want to screw you, but not love you...Good For Maddie for saying HEll to the NO! then even better for her for saying SCREW it....your hot...im horny!!!!

Maddie and Micah are a train wreck of mixed emotions! They want each other in the bed, but outside the hidden hotel room, well that is where it gets complicated! At least Maddie knows what she wants and isnt afraid to put it out there...Micah just needs to pull his head out of his rear end before its too late!

Overall, this was a quick read. It was written well with good heat and dialogue. It also has a solid ending without any serious angst of cliffhanger! I just wish Micah Preston would have knocked my socks off...instead he just was just "MEH"!

3,5 stars. Truth. I'm the Laurelin Paige 's fan. I like most of her books and original plots. But I'm not a big fan of famous Hollywood stories.

Cute and sexy with lots of turns, doubts and uncertainty. Their story is not trouble-free. They believe in other things and although have a lot in common they can not always agree with each other. It's a rollercoaster.

It's also kind of second chance romance. They met before the moments of fame and I really enjoyed that.

It's for those who like Hollywood stories and twisted reading.

I LOVE a good second-chance romance where soulmates who lost each other are found. These stories of love found again speak to my soul...so many feels!!! In her newest angst-burning romance, Laurelin Paige takes readers for a smoldering spin around the Hollywood movie scene where the sexiest bad boy of a movie star is paired with a beautiful camera assistant in the seductive Sex Symbol.

Maddie is beautiful, bold, and brilliant, a strong and sassy heroine who I could not help but love and admire. A camera assistant, Maddie is thrown together with Hollywood's heartthrob, the man she knew before he made it big, the man who melted her body like no other, the man she tried to forget for years.

Micah never thought he'd see Maddie from the party ever again. One cocky alpha of a movie star, Micah is a player all the way. With dark hair, a chiseled body, and burning blue eyes, he is SEX-on-a-STICK HOT. I was ogling my visual of him while reading.

The CHEMISTRY between Micah and Maddie is an INSTANT IGNITE of a flame that burns through the whole book. I LOVED their intense electricity and their backstory made their relationship more special.

Oh God, was he hard? Don't look, don't look.

"Enjoying the view?" Micah asked, his voice low and suggestive.

I giggled, snickering at the hot and humorous lines.

"You taste so good. Exactly the way I remember."

I MELTED like lava, as Micah made me wanton and weak in the knees.

"You're going to break me," she whispered.

But she was wrong.

"You're the one who's going to break me."

I SHUDDERED, hanging on the edge of an emotional cliff, as the push and pull of this story did me in.

"Ssh. I've got you."

I SWOONED, as these sweet words held onto my heart, making me warm and fuzzy inside.

Sex Symbol brings the SEXY with strong characters that will CAPTIVATE you from beginning to end. Laurelin Paige, the queen of hot, intense, angsty alphas, delivers one Hollywood heartthrob that you'll both love and loathe in Sex Symbol. This bad boy with a big heart was my ADDICTION!

An EDGE-OF-YOUR-SEAT EXPLOSION meets a sexy and sweet second-chance romance, Sex Symbol SPARKS with smolder, spirit, and sass. This WHIRLWIND of a love story kept me glued to every page. I was thoroughly SEDUCED, swept under the Hollywood heartthrob spell along with the magical mastery of Laurelin Paige's perfectly penned words. Sex Symbol is a SMASHING HIT!!! This story with a fairytale feel is a fantasy come to life...my fantasy that I still want to feel. ❤️

Re lectura marzo 2021, me gustó tanto como la primera vez que lo leí.

4,5.
I love this book!!!
I love Micah and Maddie ♥♥♥♥

***ARC Provided by the Author***

Laurelin Paige is a favorite of mine for the stories she tells, the way she writes them, and for how much I enjoy reading her words. And, the hot sex. The really hot sex. That’s another reason. Maybe the first reason? There’s a scene on the wall of a trailer that I am still recovering from.

Second chance romance is a favorite of mine. I love the intensity of the connection when there is a history, but also the intensity of the fear of losing the person (or the chance at something more) again.

As this is a second chance romance by Laurelin Paige, it's no surprise I loved this book. It is important to mention here that if she ever writes a book I don’t love, I will be honest…but this definitely isn’t that book.

Micah and Maddie get their second chance, and it's one neither of them expected or particularly pursued, which I really liked. Each of them moved on, pursued their dreams, handled disappointment, and became the people they are now, at their second meeting.

It’s a slightly different second chance, as it was more a hot interlude that could have gone somewhere, but as you do when you are young, you put the wrong things as a priority. Micah did this, allowing his career to be more important than the connection he found in a secluded corner of a garden with Maddie.

Micah followed advice he was given to stay single, and this is a hard habit to change because it worked.
He has all that he wanted, and he got where he wanted to be, by following advice that led him to think the secret was being single. Add in a few times where people have wanted to be with Micah the celebrity instead of Micah the man, and you get Micah as he is now, the sex symbol who uses one night stands to meet his needs for companionship because he is afraid of wanting more.

His journey in the book, in my opinion, is a little deeper than Maddie’s, as in order to be with Maddie, Micah needs to unlearn some behaviors that he believes not only protect him, but that allowed him to get where he is with his career. His mother, in a misguided attempt to be supportive, helps reinforce this belief. But, she is not being harsh, rather she is supporting what her son believes to be the reason for his success.

At the beginning of this book, they are the couple who meet again after years, after circumstances stopped them right at the start of something with real potential. Or did it? Would they have worked? Would they have been that couple who stayed together forever if things had been different years ago? While each reader can decide this on their own, the answer for me is no, they wouldn't have worked. Micah still had his dream, and the direction he wanted to go with his life, and I think they would have ended up exactly where they are now, only with more baggage.

What's interesting is that seven years ago, neither of them knew anything about the other, and the attraction was explosive. Now, both have reason to doubt the other. Maddie has been treated badly and hurt, and so has Micah. Pretending not to recognize one another seems smart... because if they don't have any idea who the other is, then there's no pressure to not mess up this second chance, no doubt that not getting together years ago was the right decision, and no reason to face their fears of being together.
Sometimes, it's easier when you have someone else to blame for a missed opportunity. Someone who didn't recognize it, or you, is at fault.

However, when you have chemistry like Maddie and Micah, and an author as wonderful and talented as Laurelin Paige, you aren't going to be able to hide what is right in front of you for long.

The second chance, for me to believe in it, has to convince me that the reason it didn't work last time is no longer an issue and will no longer stop them from being together. Well done, as always, Ms. Paige, as I believed in their second chance. I think Micah is stronger now, and has learned what is really important in life, and what he is and is not willing to give up along the way.

Maddie and Micah fail dramatically in staying away from one another, and it’s a hot, sexy, swoony ride watching two people realize that risking your heart is worth it when you trust the other person, and that the compromise to stay together isn't the cost of the relationship, but the reward.

This is a reissue of a book that has been re-edited/updated and given a lovely new cover. I'm not able to say for certain what is different, as I somehow hadn't read it when it was originally released. (HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!?!?) But I can tell you what it has; a well written narrative, characters you adore, sexy times that will make you swoon, a hero you fall in love with even more for his flaws, and chapstick.

Bet you want me to explain the chapstick. Nope, for that, you'll have to read the book.

I recommend this title.

This book starts with Maddie attending a party to celebrate her graduation. Whilst at the party she hooks up with mysterious stranger Micah. Micah promises to contact Maddie after she has to leave the party suddenly. However Maddie never receives that call.

Seven years later Maddie has been called in as a camera assistant on Micah Preston’s new film. Maddie remembers Micah Preston who is now Hollywood’s top leading man and playboy. Since his career took off Micah has always believed that he can't have both a career in Hollywood and a relationship. To him they simply don't mix. With Micah’s reputation as a playboy Maddie doesn’t want another fling. As they get to know each other Micah’s barriers begin to break down. Micah and Maddie have great chemistry and connection. They have lots of obstacles and issues to work through including the film’s director who is determined to ruin Maddie’s career.

This book is very well written and it flows really well. There are lots of twists and turns that keep you hooked throughout. The story is cleverly told from Maddie’s and Micah’s POV. This really helped with connecting to the story and understanding their emotions and feelings. There are lots of steamy scenes and there was even one part of the story that I found a little heart breaking and it brought tears to my eyes. You always know it’s a good read if it can make you cry!
There is no cliff-hanger ending as this is a standalone book but I would love more of Maddie and Micah.

I have read lots of Hollywood playboy falling in love type books but I can honestly say this is one my favourites. I will definitely re-read this one again.

Overall a sexy, steamy, fun and surprisingly emotional (for me anyway) which I would highly recommend.

I absolutely loved Sex Symbol by Laurelin Paige. I found it to be a more lighthearted story and could not put it down.

Maddie Bauers graduated and is very focused and knows what she wants out of her career. She is determined to achieve her goals. She has been so focused on the future and her studies, that she has not let herself enjoy life. Then she meets Micah Preston at a party on the night she graduates and she finally lets herself go and has an experience she never forgets.

Now seven years later, Micah is the hottest actor in Hollywood and also one of its biggest playboys. He has never forgotten Maggie-from-the-party, but decided to put work first. Now they are working together on his next film and the chemistry between them has not only simmered, but come to a boil.

There is some angst on how will this work and Micah's preconceived notions of relationships in Hollywood not being real, but you see what they feel for each other and how they struggle to come to terms with it.

Sex Symbol is so worth the read and you get an amazing story. Once again we see why Laurelin Paige is good at what she does! I am already waiting for her next book! So yes, I would definitely recommend this book.

Happy reading!

A reconnect after first meeting 7 years ago, Hollywood leading man and camera assistant give it their best try at a relationship amidst the glamour, glitz and media blitz.

The sexual tension is explosive and the sex scenes blazing. Maddie is feisty, smart and stands up for herself (most of the time). Micah is all you would envision as the heartthrob movie star, and wary of being taken advantage of because of his status.

Pretty much your standard fare for the Hollywood trope. A fun read though!

This was a pretty okay read.
Nothing to write home about.
A semi-reluctant second chance romance, even though there wasn't any romance in the first place. Maybe a missed connection... in a weird they did connect way, but it just ended because of circumstances.

Ok you know what. It's low angst. There's a little bit of naughty. A love story that's a little rocky and rolly. If you like contemporary romance then go for it!

Binge read! This second chance romance was even better second time around! Full review to follow!

Maddie hooked up with some random hot guy at a college graduation party. She had no clue that he was an up and coming Hollywood actor.

Micah is one of Hollywood’s hottest stars. He is “King of the one night stand” and a total commitment-phobe.

Seven years after their hot and heavy hookup, Maddie ends up working as a camera women on one of Micah’s films. The cocky actor doesn’t seem to remember her or does he? Maggie is finding herself totally out of focus behind them camera. Micah doesn’t do relationships. But there’s something about Maddie that makes him want to try.

Sex Symbol was a sexy and sweet second chance Hollywood love story. I didn’t want to put this book down. I liked it, but found the heroine a bit whiney and insecure at times. But who could blame her? She was getting mixed signals from Hollywood's hottest star. Laurelin Paige’s Sex Symbol is one-click worthy!

I devoured this book! I loved both of the main characters, but Micah really touched my heart!! To swear off all relationships to protect his career because of what happened between his parents was truly heartbreaking! I'd love to tell you all about this, but I don't want to ruin this amazing book for you! This is an amazing 5 star read! Love, love, love this book! Laurelin, I'm in absolute awe of your writing abilities! You know how to suck me right in!
Pick up this 5 star read!!!

Whoa! Sex symbol was a surprised release and it was fantastic. Hollywood leading man meet sexy camera assistant. Micah and Maddie met at a party years before Micah became a super star. They were instantly attracted to each other – that night they shared one hot encounter but it was just one way. Maddie intended on returning the favor soon but Micah never called. It was like he disappeared into thin air except he was not. Maddie has to see his face all over tabloid magazines hanging on to different women. Maddie never thought she would see Micah up close and personal ever again until she received an assignment which landed her on the set of Micah’s latest movie. A romance ;-) What happened when the two come face to face for the first time after seven years? Will Micah remember Maddie or does he pretend to forget?

This book is seriously hot. Micah is sexy, successful and charming. He was young and made a dumb mistake of letting Maddie go years ago. Maddie is beautiful, sweet, and career driven. You cannot deny the sexual chemistry they once had and is still have for each other. However, their relationship is a passionate slow burn this time around because Maddie has a hard time trusting Micah with her heart. I like the fun banters between the two characters except I was hoping for little more angsts, and a little more groveling on Micah part. Over all, Sex symbol was an entertaining read. I love second chance romance so it’s a no brainer to pick up this one – sweet, sexy, fairy tale ending. I devoured in one sitting.

It wasn't mind blowing but still enjoyable.
Things i liked were that there was no big drama like a crazy and jealous ex boyfriend/girlfriend
who wants to ruin the relationship.
Also no dark pasts or relationship-threatening secrets.
It was a realistic and light read with a little steam. Even though it could be more steamy :D
I missed that

-feeling which I def. had in the Fixed Series :D

Maddies insecurities were annoying now and then. Also Michas stubbornness to accept his feelings for Maddie and give their relationship a go. But it was kept within limits :D
I would have liked an epilogue to see how they managed to connect their relationship and career.
