2 1\2 stars! It was interesting read, as it was written so fast after the accident, all the pieces of articles and so on were a nice add to the reading experience! Also the visualisations of radiation, the reactor and so on were very informative!
But, because it was written so fast after the accident, it's reads as very anti-nuclear energy (understandble but still) , and not very cohesive telling of events of the accident (also understandable) . But good read if you have already read other, newer books about the accident.

Libelous propaganda.

I’d write a more thorough review but it’d be more effort than was put into this book.

For information on the Chernobyl accident I suggest any of the documentaries and TV programs and HBOs miniseries. I’ll update my review with book suggestions once I’ve read valuable resources.

Bel libro. Scritto vicino agli eventi (giugno1986) sicuramente non e’ aggiornato sugli sviluppi del nucleare e sul sviluppo delle informazioni su Chernobyl. Per questo motivo avrei dato 4 stelle, ma ne do 5 perché merita comunque la lettura, dopo queste premesse.

Really well thought out and written! The only problem is the book was written in the late 80's so some if the places have closed or planned buildings are hilt etc!
It charts the history if nuclear energy and the background of the accident and similar accidents in Europe and USA. Well worth a read to learn about the worst nuclear accident to happen!
