This book has about 40 activities to do with young children. It's probably best for use with preschool age children but could be used with kids in up to grade 2.
Most of the activities seem very doable and worthwhile, however, I was able to make a very short summary of almost each activity on about a total of 2 pages of paper, and I think that I got the gist of each activity covered in that space, so a full book is not really needed to cover the simplicity of each activity. While the text is probably much more clear written out as fully as it is, it seems plausible that a book half the size if not smaller would have been easier to manage as a reader or buyer of books.
While I do think the activities are worthwhile, I do not think they are organized in a very useful manner. The lessons that are in the same category do not usually connect with each other in terms of the scientific principles being observed. For this book to be a useful to a teacher would involve a significant amount of cherry picking.
