Whoever said getting pregnant to the town playboy was a good idea… they were wrong.
Gabrielle Walker’s world implodes when she discovers that her boyfriend is engaged to another woman. In need of a change, she uproots her life and moves to Haven Bay, hoping to mend her broken heart.
But there’s no small town love story for her. Instead, a night of passion with playboy bartender Logan Pride—her brother’s friend—results in a positive pregnancy test and no white picket fence in sight.
Logan doesn’t want children, but now he’ll have to choose between following in the footsteps of his no-good absentee father or putting his lonely heart on the line.
Alexa Rivers writes about genuine characters living messy, imperfect lives and earning hard-won happily ever afters. Most of her books are set in small towns, and she lives in one of these herself. She shares a house with a neurotic dog and a husband who thinks he’s hilarious.
When she’s not writing, she enjoys traveling, baking, eating too much chocolate, cuddling fluffy animals, drinking excessive amounts of tea, and absorbing herself in fictional worlds.
Alexa Rivers has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Gabby and Logan. Gabby and her friend Marley are watching a cricket game that her boyfriend Herny is playing in. After the game, Henry is interviewed and Gabby finds out that he is engaged to a woman named Vanessa. She tries to call him but he doesn't answer so she leaves him a message. "You're engaged?" Gabby asked incredulously. “Seriously? Is this real? I don’t understand what’s happening. Please call me back. I need to hear you tell me this is all a big joke.” Marley tells her that she doesn't think it is a joke. Gabby thinks that if it is true then Henry is nothing but a liar, a cheat, and not the man she thought he was. Was she supposed to just wait for him to call her back? There was another player being interviewed so she tried to call Henry again but still no answer. "Call me. is the message she left him. "Come on. She grabs her purse and tells Marley that they are going to Auckland. Marley asked, "Are you sure that is what you want to do?" Gabby just looks at her. "Okay, I'm driving," Marley said. Gabby gets a message back from Henry and it says that yes he is engaged but it doesn't change things between them. This just makes Gabby mad. When they get to Auckland, she tries to warn Vanessa about Henry cheating on her but Vanessa doesn't believe her. After everything that happened, she sold her house and moved back to Haven Bay. Logan is the owner of The Den, the local bar, and is worried about Gabby. She has been dating a lot but not one of the men is good enough for her. Gabby and Logan don't get along and always fight when they get together, but the chemistry between them gets to them and they sleep together every now and then. Gabby and her date are at The Den and Logan watches as the man makes Gabby mad. When he leaves, Logan is cleaning a table when she says "I guess you think this is funny?" Logan tells her that he doesn't think it is funny. She ends up going upstairs to his apartment with him and they sleep together. She wakes up a little later and is upset with herself for sleeping with Logan again. She knows that he is not the type to settle down since he told her that all the time. She gets dressed and leaves. When Logan wakes up and gets a little upset that she is gone. He was planning to fix her breakfast. Logan thinks that it is best that she left because he is not what she needs she wants marriage and kids and this is not what Logan wants because of what his father did to his mother, brother, and him. He has been told that he is like his father and that is why he doesn't do relationships. He only has one-night stands and tells the women that he is not into relationships, so if that is what she wants then he was not the man for them. Gabby and Logan avoid each other and it gets to Logan. He is hosting poker night at his place and when Shane, Gabby's brother gets there, he says something about Gabby not being right. Logan asks what is wrong but Shane doesn't know and tells him so. Gabby has not felt good for a few days and she can't keep anything down. She goes to get some medicine and that is when she noticed that she hadn't had her period for a few months. This caused her to think about the last time she was with Logan. She goes to the next town to get some pregnancy tests. When she gets home she takes them all and they all come back positive. She doesn't know how to tell Logan since a baby is not something he wants. Gabby is at home still coming to terms with her pregnancy when there is a knock on her door. She doesn't want to talk to anyone but knows if it is her family and she doesn't answer, he brother Shane will come over and use his keys to come in. She answers and it is Charity. They talk and Gabby tells her that she needs to talk to her but she has to promise not to tell Shane. Gabby tells her that she is pregnant and that Logan is the father. Gabby tells her that she hasn't told Logan yet and until she does she doesn't want anyone else to know just yet. Charity tells her that she will keep her secret. Gabby goes to the clinic to get her pregnancy confirmed and then she will go and tell Logan. When she goes to tell Logan, things do not go well. He thinks that she tricked him to get pregnant. It takes a few days for Logan to process the news of Gabby being pregnant. Gabby had told him that she didn't expect him to be there since she could take care of the baby by herself. Logan decides to be there for Gabby and the baby. He goes to see her and tells her what he has decided. She tells him they can take it day by day. Gabby is wondering when Logan will walk away from her since every man she has been with has done it so she is expecting Logan to do it too. She feels she is not good enough for him. She feels like Logan is with her because of the baby. Logan is there for Gabby with whatever she needs. The more time he spends with her, the more he falls for her but he still doesn't want to commit to a relationship since he doesn't think he can make it work. Things are going well for them until he hires a new bartender for The Den. Peach, the bartender is the type of woman he would always hook up with before he got with Gabby. Logan is checking things out before he leaves and goes to the storeroom to get some more whiskey and Peach comes in after him. He asks what she is doing there since she is not due in yet. She tells him that she thought that they could have a little fun. He tells her that he is not interested since he has a girlfriend. Peach says that she didn't have to know. She tells him that her friends told her about how he would have a fling with women on vacation. He tells her again that he is not a cheater and he wants to only be with Gabby. Peach gets mad at the rejection and calls him a few names. He doesn't care and walks away from her. When he walks out, his mother sees him and thinks the worst about him. She knows about him being with Gabby and the baby. Logan needs to clear his head so he goes surfing instead of going home to Gabby. Gabby has taken a bath and when she tries to get out of the tub, she gets lightheaded and falls. She hits her head and blacks out for a few minutes. When she comes to, she calls Shane and tells him what happened. Shane tells her he is on his way and for her to talk to Faith until he gets there. Shane gets there and takes her to the hospital. She is admitted just to make sure she is alright. Shane tries to call Logan but gets no answer. Logan's mother tells Shane to call Peach, the bartender to find out where Logan is. They don't know that Gabby is awake and hears them. She has seen Peach and thinks the worst. Finally, Kyle, his brother finds him at the beach and goes to tell him what happened to Gabby. When they get to the hospital, Logan tells Gabby that he is sorry he had not been there for her. She asked where he had been and he said that he had been surfing to clear his head. She tells him what she heard from his mother and Shane. This upsets Logan since she should have trust in him. He tells her that he needs to leave and walks out. After he leaves, Gabby knows that she made a mistake and worries that Logan won't be back. When Shane gets to her room she tells him what she heard and he tells her that Kyle had found Logan at the beach surfing. She asked Shane for help in apologizing to Logan. Logan doesn't know where to go and ends up at Kyle's. He needs to talk to someone. He ends up talking to Charity and Kyle and is told what he needs to do. Will Logan finally realize that he is in love with Gabby and tell her? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is a well written small town romance between Logan and Gabby. The author does a great job developing their story and painting her scenes. She takes you into their lives and shows their thoughts and emotions and how they change along the way. The story moves fluidly and is an enjoyable read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Ok so I don't know what's up with all the 5 star reviews. I think the book was fine, but it definitely needs work. I don't think the third person POV works. I think the author already struggled making the emotions of the characters come through and the POV choice made it harder. It over all fell kind of flat. I struggled getting into the story and caring about the main characters. The issues they faced dealing with their trauma are good in theory but their growth felt rushed and over simplified.
This is book eight of the Haven Bay series and the main characters are Gabby (Gabrielle) Walker, who moved to Haven Bay after her boyfriend Henry, a professional cricketer, cheated on her and announced on national TV that he was engaged to someone else, just as she had been waiting for him to pop the question and Logan Pride, pro surfer and owner of a bar called The Den. He and Gabby had a bit of a friends with benefits relationship for a few years, neither wanting a relationship, only getting together to rub an itch as needed. The chemistry between them is off the charts, but Gabby’s brother Shane is his best friend, and they have keep this secret from him all this time. Now that she is back in town, she is making up for her cheating ex and getting out there, to try and find a man she can trust! She wants the whole dream, a house with a white picket fence, and children with the man she loves. Now she feels like time is running out for her. She tries to stay away from Logan as she looks for a real relationship, knowing he would never want the same as her, having made it plain to any woman he was with, exactly where he stood. But this was based on his own father leaving him when he was young and letting him down every time he should have been there for him. He has been told by everyone in town just how much he looks and takes after him. Another horrendous date leaves Gabby unable to resist Logan’s lips and the two end up having sex again, but she disappears before he awakes.
Weeks pass and she manages to stick to her resolve and avoid Logan, both at the bar and at the beach where he is still teaching people to surf. It finally comes to her that something is up, as she is tired all the time and then starts being sick from strong smelling food and even coffee. A multitude of pregnancy tests reveal she is indeed pregnant and she now has to figure out how to tell Logan and get used to the idea of raising her child by herself, knowing he never wanted children! Thankfully, after the initial shock and accusations, he wants to be a part of the baby’s life and the two of them have to work out how to tell the other important people in their lives, including her brother Shane, her parents and his mother Corinne, as well as his brother Kyle. Best friends Shane and Logan will have issues of trust once the news Logan had been sleeping with Gabby for quite some time, on and off, is revealed especially since he and their other friends know exactly how much of a playboy he is! Gabby has the money to raise her child as a single mother and has plenty of support on her side form family and friends, so she doesn’t really have to worry. Her only concern is whether she can really trust Logan to stick to his word and any changes he seems to be showing her about supporting her and the baby. He doesn’t want to repeat the absentee father life he himself had to live and the pressures it put on his mother. Both have issues because of their past, Logan with his father and the effect that had on him as a man, and Gabby with trust after being made into the other woman after her famous ex was clearly cheating on her for a year or more. Trust has to be earned and insecurities will take time to be laid to rest, as both MC’s find themselves with a growing closeness and agreement to be together, at least until it all falls apart as Gabby expects.
They will have their ups and downs as they both get used to this new situation they share and try to navigate everything, whilst also finally allowing themselves to fall for the chemistry between them. A lovely story with a HEA and a new twist for the pair to contend with. Logan has to grow up and make up his mind about what sort of man he wanted to be, a good father to his upcoming child or one like his absent dad, as well as realise he might need therapy because of the damage from his past. Gabby isn’t blameless either, but trust is somewhat harder to prove and she will have to come to her own decision about Logan from what he has shown her recently and what he could become. Seems like the stork is visiting Haven Bay and happy news is coming to more than just this pair. I look forward to reading more of this series and catch up on the stories I have missed and read some more from this author. Lovely characters and realistic situations to be dealt with. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Gabby and Logan are not looking for commitment or love from each other. She is well aware that he plans to stay single, playing the field and never have kids of his own. She still hopes to have a committed relationship, a marriage and family of her own. Still, both have their reasons for guarding their hearts and having trust issues. Fate has other plans for them, however. A passionate night together leads to a surprise pregnancy and a connection neither expected but will change everything between them.
Now that she is back in town and trying to get over her ex, Gabby has been going on a lot of dates with every guy other than Logan, who she once secretly hooked up with years ago. The sparks of attraction are still there between them and the super hot chemistry not to be denied leads them to another steamy night together. This time, there will be a souvenir of that night to be delivered in about nine months. The news floors Logan and he wrestles with his painful past, his own insecurities before deciding he can’t just walk away from Gabby or their baby. His protective instincts kick in big time, though he still believes he won’t be a good father, and Shane, Gabby’s brother and his best friend seems to agree. Unfortunately, far too many people agree with that assessment because of his player ways, but somehow Gabby seems to believe that he could be a good father. Lots of time spent together making decisions and getting prepared for their surprise lead them both to realize they have much deeper feelings than friendship for each other. Could they possibly have a future together that doesn’t just centre around their babies, but includes their love for each other?
I love the chemistry between Gabby and Logan, as well as their determination to what is best for their children despite the doubts and criticism from others. They stick together, they support each other, and despite a few bumps along the way, they find their way to their own happily ever after.

Gabrielle Walker, Gabby, is a large animal veterinarian. Her boyfriend, Henry Gosling, plays cricket on the New Zealand men’s team. Gabby can’t wait to surprise him after his game because he is going to be free for a week. Her best friend Marley comes over to watch the match. After it is over, they are interviewing Henry and ask him about the ring a special lady in Henry’s life is wearing. Henry confirms he is engaged to Vanessa Hallborn, an Auckland attorney. Gabby is blind sided and when Henry finally returns her text, he confirms the engagement but tells Gabby that nothing has to change. Basically Henry implies that Gabby can be his mistress.
Gabby decides to move to Haven Bay to be close to her brother Shane and his family. Logan Pride owns The Den, the only pub in Haven Bay. He is close friends with Shane. He and Gabby had a series of flings that no one knows about before her relationship with Henry. Since being back in town, Gabby has been on a lot of first dates at The Den. Logan is upset that Gabby ignores him and the chemistry they have but realizes if Gabby is looking for “The One”, that he is not that person. He is known as a playboy and flirt and believes he is not relationship material because his father was never around.
Will their chemistry lead them back to each other? Will Logan realize that he is not his father? Will Gabby fight for Logan or continue to search for someone else?
I have loved every book in this series.

Their Destined Forever - Gabby went on a dating spree after she broke up with her ex-boyfriend, but she made a decision to stay away from her friends with benefits relationship with Logan. Even though Logan had sworn off relationships, he was upset that Gabby was going out on dates with everyone else but him. However, what neither one of them realised was that they were destined to be together, as they ended up spending a night together and sealed their fates.
Once they discovered the new change it their lives, they started spending time together getting to know each other better, but they were both holding back due to their insecurities. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding over a baseless accusation nearly derailed their relationship, when Logan couldn’t be contacted or located, after Gabby hurt herself. Luckily, they were able to clear up the matter, which finally gave them the courage to not only finally acknowledge their feelings for each other, but also realise they had to work on their respective issues.
This was a beautifully written story, that captures your attention and pulls you into the story, whilst ensuring you won’t want to put this book down. The love, camaraderie, support and witty exchanges, will make you wish that you could be a part of the story. Grab a copy and indulge yourself.

Gabby is in love with her boyfriend and professional cricket player, Henry, and is seeing the whole picket fence dream when she's humiliated very publicly when Henry announces his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, who isn't Gabby. Gabby realizes she was the other woman and now doesn't really trust anyone anymore because of this but still hooks up with Logan. Logan has daddy issues and feels like he won't be the disappointment his own father was if he stays a play the field type lover. They're both fairly immature for my taste (they're in their 30s), but the story works. Gabby gets knocked up by Logan during one of their hookups. Logan falls in line as the attentive, supportive father and eventually starts seeing Gabby as more. Gabby wants more with Logan too but her trust issues get in the way.
I got tired of hearing people belittle Logan for his past. I mean come on. People can change. After he found out Gabby was pregnant, she had his undivided attention. Gabby looks for ulterior motives every time Logan says or does anything. It got old because Logan is nothing but supportive and loving to her. Also Gabby's brother's reaction when he found out Logan was the father was a bit much considering these are grown people in their 30s.
All in all, the book was sweet with a touch of spice. I definitely want to read the other couples' stories now.

Gabby is the local veterinarian, running her successful practice and loving her fur babies. When her heart is broken by her long-time boyfriend and her "idea" at a perfect life goes down the drain, she's done with men. Logan owns the local and only pub in town. When Gabby moves back to town and starts dating everyone but him, he's concerned. Their past relationship was kept a secret because he's her brother's friends. He didn't want a commitment anyway, so why was he so concerned with who she was seeing? They both knew the score, no strings and no commitments. Gabby wants the white house with the picket fence and 2.5 kids. Not the distraction Logan offers. She will not pick up where they left off. There's no future in it. So why was she back in his bed? This was the last time...definitely. Maybe. Logan doesn't want or need commitments. So why is he disappointed when she leaves? Maybe it's time for a change. . . no way! Maybe. But life has other plans for both of them. As something totally unexpected blooms between them neither expects to start feeling the way that they do. Even as they try to deny it. Can love endure or will the past hurts, doubts about each other and self doubt pull them apart? Our past never goes away but it's behind us, so leave it there. Touching, steamy and moments of self discovery made this a wonderful read with a HEA. I recommend it.
𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: small town, accidental pregnancy, brother's best friend, opposites attract
𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀: cheating
Gabby broke up with her ex because he cheated on. She now has a relationship with benefits with Logan, but she keeps promising herself that she won't give in to temptation. Somehow, she and Logan ends up having again a one night stand, without knowing that now their fates are sealed.
Once the pregnancy is discovered, Gabby is convinced that Logan will run and she will have to be a single mother. Logan is in shock at first and asks for a friend's help to help him realize certain things. I really liked how he always went to someone close to help him. Now he's totally on board.
Their relationship starts to develop with small steps. Logan is always by Gabby side even though she didn't ask for his help. He needed to be there, to take care of her.
Over time, their relationship grows and the insecurities disappear a little, but when Logan is nowhere to be found, the insecurities reappear. It doesn't take long until they gather all the courage to say everything they feel and that they need to work on those insecurities.
The book is beautifully written, it captivates you instantly and hardly lets you put it down.
Thank you Alexa Rivers for the opportunity to read this amazing book in exchange for an honest review.
Logan’s and Gabrielle’s (Gabby) journey to finding love and happiness in Never Saw You Coming by Alexa Rivers, book eight, and the last, in the Haven Bay series, is an enjoyable, wonderful, and emotional small town story; with a best mate’s younger sister, opposites attracting and who find themselves with an unexpected consequence to a night together.
Heartbroken, shocked, and disillusioned, vet Gabby finds out during a sports broadcast that her boyfriend has just become engaged to another woman. Logan owns the local and only pub in town. When Gabby moves back to town and starts dating everyone but him, he's concerned. Their past relationship was kept a secret because he's friends with her brother's. He didn't want a commitment, the perennial bachelor, yet he was concerned with who she was seeing. After Gabby has another date gone bad, they end up having another romp between the sheets; only this time, she becomes pregnant. As unexpected feelings grow between them, neither expects to start feeling the way that they do; even as they try to deny it. Hopefully, they will be able to overcome their baggage of past hurts, doubts about each other, and self doubt, allowing for love to bloom between them. I highly recommend Never Saw You Coming to other readers.

We are back in Haven’s Bay and this time the story belongs to veterinarian Gaby Walker and bartender/surfer and local playboy Logan Pride. Gaby was very much in love with her soccer playing boyfriend . But her life turns upside down when on the TV he is shown with his fiancee. Needless to say, she was both mad and devastated. Trying to forget her sorrows, she goes to the local bar, succumbing to Logan’s charisma, never expecting to get pregnant. The woman who dreamt of 2.5 kids and picket fences is doing everything backwards with a man that has no desire to marry or have kids.. Though Logan has no desire to have kids and feels he could turn out like his deadbeat dad, he decides he’ll help Gaby through the pregnancy. They have their ups and downs throughout the story, partly due to jealousy, insecurities and feelings of defeat. In the end will they truly fall in love and stay together or will Logan feel he can’t handle that family life? For this listener, the story was ok. It took me a while to warm up to the characters which I felt were at times immature. Especially since they were in their 30s. For me it was more of a 3.5 stars story. The narrator Alix Dale does a good job with the voices. I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
This is book eight in The Haven Bay series and it is Gabby and Logan’s story. When Gabby finds out that her boyfriend is engaged to another woman it leaves her angry, upset and heartbroken and she realised to move forward with her life she will need to return to her hometown in Haven Bay. Logan runs the pub in Haven Bay and is best friends with Gabby’s brother but when Gabby and Logan spend a night together the last thing that they expect is for Gabby to end up pregnant which throws Logan’s life in to complete chaos because he never wanted to be in a committed relationship or have children so what will the outcome be for them in the end. I loved the attraction and chemistry between Gabby and Logan and how even though they are the total opposite of each other they still cant seem to keep away from each other but will they be able to navigate, commit, be vulnerable, trust each and get over there past and insecurities so that they can take a chance of being together, only time will tell what the outcome will be for them in the end. Gabby and Logan have many ups and downs but they really are perfect for each other and together and I loved this book so much and I couldn’t put it down and look forward to reading more books by this author in the future.
This is what I would call a "backwards romance": first the pregnancy, then the friendship, maybe a little romance, and then possibly, a happily ever after. I have to say, that I was not a big fan of Logan Pride at the beginning of the book. Actually, I didn't really like Gabby either. When Logan first sees Gabby, he admits that he doesn't particularly like her, he just likes the chemistry with her. Gabby, too, realized that all Logan wanted was to have sex with as many people as possible, but she still wanted to be with him. I kept wondering, where's the romance in this book? But, as I kept reading, both characters began to show their true selves. It may have been backwards, or even a bit sideways, but Rivers did a good job in revealing her characters little by little, until you realize that you really do like both of them! Alexa Rivers writes a wonderful story. The Haven Bay crew all make appearances so you get to play "catch-up" with some old friends. If you are a fan of accidental pregnancy-brother's friend romance books, then I would definitely recommend this one.
Changing the way, one thinks!! This is about Logan and Gabby. First, I hate that I have missed some of the books in this series as this is the last one. I’ll be checking out those I missed because each of the characters is great. Gabby has returned to her hometown as she and her cheating EX are no longer together. She is still in search of the happily ever after and has been on dates that have not panned out. Logan owns the bar in town and is the bachelor of the town, whom everyone knows that he will never settle down with, but he and Gabby keep having flings, oddly as he has never been with the same woman twice. The other thing is that his best friend Shane is her brother. Logan truly believes that he will ruin anyone who wants more than he can give due to his deadbeat dad, but it takes a surprise and an email that makes him realize that he is NOT his father. I love how Logan and Gabby end up with the surprise that they get, but as this was the last book in the series, I would have expected an extended epilogue or a short book that closes out Haven Bay.

This is a book that plunged me into the tumultuous world of Gabrielle Walker. Her life takes a sharp turn when she uncovers her boyfriend's engagement to another woman, prompting her to pack up and seek solace in the small town of Haven Bay.
But this is no typical small-town love story. Instead, a passionate night with Logan Pride, a bartender and her brother's friend, leads to an unexpected pregnancy. Initially, neither Gabby nor Logan were seeking a committed relationship, but fate had other plans.
The chemistry between Gabby and Logan is off the charts, and as they navigate the decisions and preparations for their forthcoming child, their connection deepens. They both find themselves caught in a whirlwind of emotions and, despite the inevitable bumps in the road, they eventually pave their path to a unique and heartwarming happily ever after.
This is a story of love, responsibility, and the unexpected twists of life. Gabby and Logan's journey is a testament to the profound connections that can be forged in surprising circumstances. It's a heartfelt narrative that lingers in your heart, and it beautifully encapsulates the essence of love, family, and new beginnings.
I absolutely loved this story, the love between Gabby and Logan is amazing and it was quite an adventure for them to finally figure it out. They have a wonderful connection between them and always have but neither of them thought they could be together longer than sleeping together. Logan wouldn’t let himself be with anyone more than to sleep with them. He didn’t believe that he could love anyone and treat them right because of his father. His father left him when he was young and everyone always told him that he was just like his father so he only thought he would hurt others just like his father. He was an awesome surfer and they said he got that from his father but his mother is also a great surfer so he chooses to give his mother the benefit of his skill. I am so happy that he finally got through to Gabby that she was all he wanted and not to judge him by his past because he loves her and is happy to be having his babies with him. (Yes Twins). I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves instant connection love stories that take some work to come through. The narrator also brought the story to life.
Gabby is a wonderful character; very likeable. She is a vet with a big heart for both animals and people. After her boyfriend announces his engagement to another woman, she is heartbroken and embarrassed. How could she have been so blind? She has lots of insecurities because of her ex dumping her. She wants a relationship. She wants someone to call her own and eventually a family. Unfortunately, the closest she has come to a relationship is her hook-ups with Logan. Logan, former pro-surfer, now owns a surf school and a bar. He is a bit of a playboy and enjoys hooking up for one-night stands with tourists who come into town. He also enjoys an occasional hook-up with Gabby. His mother is a very supportive person to Logan. When one of their hook-ups results in stripes on a stick, Logan steps up and takes responsibility. That’s when the story really takes off. Logan is a guy I would want on my side. He is so kind and caring to Gabby. My eyes teared up a couple of times. This is my first ARC audio book. The narrator was wonderful with a captivating New Zealand accent. The epilogue was a great ending to a truly beautiful story.
A real page turner! A small town romance filled with love and emotions you can’t stop wanting. This is Logan’s and Gabrielle’s (Gabby) journey to finding love and happiness. Logan’s a lost soul who’s been abandoned and forgotten by his father once his parents separated. His fathers actions has left severe scaring on Logan with insecurities that have prevented him from finding real love and believing in it. He’s been living in a day to day lifestyle, with different women with no expectations and no tomorrows. Gabby however, has lived differently, experienced relationships with promises of love and commitment only to realize it was all a lie and she has been cheated on. Trust issues are a major challenge for both of them. When they decided to hook up as friends with benefits a few years ago, they never expected to run into each other again and have their lives turned upside down. An Emotional roller coaster ride that will have you glued to your reading device again and again! A most definite read!
This was such an amazing series and Logan & Gabby’s story was the perfect one to tie up the end!
I loved Logan from the very beginning. His personality, thoughtfulness, and very obvious affection towards Gabby are perfect. I loved that he watched out for her even though he didn’t think she’d want him to. His dedication to her throughout their ups & downs… ugh. 🥹
Gabby is such a sweet, genuine person. She’s supportive, caring, and has a deep love for animals. Her reservations with Logan are 100% understandable due to his past. Her inner dialogue when thinking about their future was very relatable.
Both of these characters are relatable and realistic. They’ve both got baggage that needs to be dealt with and they’re both willing to do whatever is necessary for their future.
Alexa has outdone herself with this series and I cannot wait to see what else she comes out with!
Thank you to Alexa for allowing me the chance to read an ARC for Never Saw You Coming.
Last book in the sereis. Logan and Gabby's surprise baby romance. Gabby has moved back to Haven Bay to be close to her family after a painful breakup. She hooks up with playboy Logan and ends up pregnant. She doesn't know how Logan will react when she tells him. Logan's reaction when he finds out is not great.Once he gets his head around it,it is sweet how he looks after Gabby. He is worried how this will affect his friendship with Gabby's brother, who is not happy when he finds out. The chemistry between them is great, but Logan does not do relationships. Their feelings do change for each other, but it takes them a while to admit to them. Loved this small town romance full of heat, humour, romance, swoony moments, family love and support, insecurities, past hurts, emotions and a happily ever after. Sad to say goodbye to Haven Bay,but looking forward to Alexa's next book.

I enjoyed this new "Haven Bay" story. The story is about Gabrielle and Logan. It is a good small town romance with a couple of surprises along the way. Gabby, a veterinarian, finds out in a very public way that her boyfriend is engaged. He not only confirms his engagement to her but then says nothing has to change between them. What a douche bag! Logan, the owner of the local pub and a friend of her brothers, sees her sitting with another date. He automatically thinks the guys is not good enough for her. Not that he wants a forever with her. This two are combustible!! He has convinced himself that he is not meant for a relationship. He has been compared to his dad too many times. Both of them have trust issues and need to come to terms with what is about to happen. The banter between them is witty and entertaining. This story is a touch emotional, heartfelt and entertaining. I like how this story developed and their relationship grew.
Aww, what an ending to the Haven Bay series. Logan Pride, bartender and flirty playboy of the series has finally met his match in Gabby, Shane’s sister. After an “accident” Logan steps up and shows what he’s really made of. Will he able to convince Gabby who has already been hurt from a past relationship? Reading their journey amidst doubts and speculations made me want to shake them and get them to open up even though their misgivings were understandable. Along with Gabby, we also got her ragtag collection of pets, and they were so adorable. I feel like the author maybe knew some of these animals. The descriptions seemed very realistic, either way she has to be a pet lover. It is bittersweet finishing this book knowing there won’t be any new stories about this fabulous set of characters I’ve come to know well.
Thank you Alexa Rivers for the arc. All opinions are my own.
When Gabby realizes that she never really knew her boyfriend at all she needs to distance herself from the situation, so she returns to her hometown. Trying to date again is proving more difficult than she imagined but she never expected that the steamy evening she spent with Logan, her brother’s best friend, would result in a pregnancy that neither was prepared for.
Logan shares a secret past with Gabby however he also knows that their visions of the future are very different. The chemistry between them is undeniable but when he finds out he is about to become a father it changes his perception and now he finds himself not only trying to convince Gabby but everyone else as well.
You can’t help but feel for Logan as he tries to do the right thing and everyone except for Gabby is judging him on his past rather than the man he is. I enjoyed seeing them finally acknowledge how they felt about each other as they tried to do what is best for everyone involved.
Gabby learns that the man she has been dating is engaged to another woman as she is watching him give an interview after his game. Heartbroken she returns to her hometown to forget what happened. Logan owns a bar called the Den and has an on and off again friends with benefits thing with Gabby. When she returns, they hook up again. Gabby tries to avoid Logan because she wants a relationship that will lead to marriage and a family. However, they keep getting together. Then she learns that she is pregnant, and things change. Logan wants to be wit Gabby for real but she thinks its because of the baby. Will she give him a chance to show her that he really wants to be with her? Can they finally admit to how they feel?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
Gabby returns to Haven Bay after a romance that ends badly. Logan, best friend of her brother, and Gabby have a history of occasional romps between the sheets together. Both have their owns issues to sort out but can’t seem to resist each other. Their future plans are complete opposites though, Gabby wants a husband and children whereas Logan wants to remain carefree and single for life. And then it all changes when Gabby finds out she is pregnant. It’s an emotional story on both sides as they work through their insecurities relying on their friends and families for help. It’s well written in that you feel for both of them without there being a good guy/bad guy. A lovely ending which brought a tear to my eye.

This is the final book in the Haven Bay series. It can be read as a standalone but makes more sense when read with the others. She got burned badly by her now ex-boyfriend, so she moves to Haven Bay to be near her brother. She wants the whole nine yards of husband, kids and a loving home but after a series of bad dates she isn't sure she will ever find it. He is her brother's best friend and the owner of the local bar. He is also a notorious womanizer who has strenuously proclaimed many times that he only does one-night stands and will never get married. They have hooked up off and on in the past so what difference will one more night make. I am sad to see this series end and hope that Ms. Rivers might revisit it one day. Until then on to her next series.

Can he change his ways? Gabby devastated after finding out her hi profile boyfriend had cheated on her moves to Haven Bay brokenhearted. Hooking up with the gorgeous playboy and her brother’s friend Logan, has her world upending when she finds out she is pregnant. This tells the story of two people bound to each other by not only a pregnancy. They come to realise that maybe there can be more to their situation if only they open up and work through some issues. This was the last story in the Haven Bay series which I really enjoyed. Also it was great to catch up with some previous couples from earlier stories who appeared in this book. I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by Alix Dale. Alix has a New Zealand accent which fit perfectly with the books setting but did take me some getting used to, once I did I really liked her performance.
Never Saw You Coming by Alexa Rivers is a steamy, small town accidental pregnancy romance with a HEA set in Haven Bay. Gabrielle and Logan have been having a “series of 1-night stands” over the course of a couple of years. Gabby wants the family, white picket fence dream, but after a disastrous relationship is afraid it’s never going to happen…especially not with someone like Logan. Logan wants to be a lifelong bachelor, never committing to one woman. As the story progresses, they each learn a bit more about themselves and each other, finding that maybe they are each more than they thought and just maybe were meant for one another all along. I have loved this series and Alexa’s style of writing from the beginning! I wish this town and its stories could go on forever!
