I have yet to read a Disney princess early reader that I actually liked. Travel Like a Princess is no exception. I liked that Belle, the first princess presented in the book, is depicted doing research. She learns about the places that she will visit by reading books and maps. This is the only reason I give the book two stars because it goes downhill from there. Most of the other princesses are shown traveling with their princes. Merida, Elinor, and Cinderella do not travel with a prince. Why can't the princesses travel together? A royal road trip sounds fun to me!

Finally, where is the love for Princess Tiana? There is one sentence in the book about Princess Tiana, but the other princesses have between 2 and 6 sentences.

I know the vocabulary has to be controlled and the content sparse to fit the early reader category, but it's just awful, IMO.

This book would be a great hit for any young girl who loves Disney princesses. In this book the princesses really come to life in their adventures in other ways than they do in the movies. This transitional book is great for young readers or children who have no reading experience, which would be around preschool to first grade. This book shows the princesses doing things that the children may not have seen them do before. This is really refreshing to the reader because they won't have to keep reading the same story over and over again. The pictures in this book are very well done and would be very familiar to the child, making it easier for them to comprehend and retain what they read. I really do think a lot of children will love this book but I did not really enjoy it.

Unless you are a real girly girl this book is only mediocor at best. There is no story line to it and the points the author was trying to make got lost within the page or two it was telling about it. My three year old granddaughter did like the fact that so many Disney princesses was in the book though. I can kind of see where the author was trying to do, make little girls believe they are princesses and teach them they can enjoy travel, people, etc But just wasn't written very good (in my opinion)

The Disney princesses encourage readers to be adventurous travelers. To research their vacation spot, to meet new people, try new foods, and make sure to bring home a souvenir.

Some good advice on how to approach new places. I just wish that the new food Ariel had tried was something more exotic than a donut. (It doesn't take a whole lot of bravery to try a pastry...ok, well maybe for a girl who lived underwater and survived on kelp and such that could be a different story, but readers aren't likely to think of that.) A good read for kids before a vacation.

This is a fun Disney Princess book which we saved for our first vacation. It stars Belle, Merida, Tiana, Ariel, Rapunzel and Cinderella. Obviously each princess doesn't get long to show off her travel skills but it's nice at showing different ways of travel and different adventures to be had - a trip to the beach, to a castle, to a music festival, to the local market, up a cliff.
Fun and adventurous for princess lovers.

By default I have to give anything with 'Punz and Fin' four stars. Eleanor loves Tangled. But what gives with two pages about Tiana and Naveen, and all the other princesses having four at least?

Even so, Eleanor loved this one because it had so many of her favorite princesses. Loved Belle especially, doing her research. Nice to see Merida too, another favorite.

Beautifully illustrated book with simple vocabulary and short sentences, ideal for kids that recognise some words but need help with others. Great for pre-K and Kindergarteners.

Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, Rapunzel, Tiana, Merida & Elinor all make an appearance.

No Jasmine, though :(

Cute, shows little stories of all the princesses after the credits roll; a little insight into their daily lives.
