This is quite a quick read but has lots of useful bits and pieces to help you on your quest to be a successful writer. Nicola uses pertinent examples from her own work to illustrate what she's saying. I found it an easy read and every page had me thinking how I could apply the suggestions and ideas to my own writing.
It is geared to both unpublished and published writers and some sections are much more pertinent to the already established writer but it was still interesting to read. A useful little aid for the price.
I will note that the guide itself finished at 70% and the rest of the book contains the first chapters of the three books she used for her illustrating.

I needed a little pick-me-how-to book and this fit the order. Some advice I've heard before, but it was still presented in a way that had me thinking about it in a new way. Easy to read and interesting.

A gem of a book about writing romance and equally about the business of writing romance for publication - including balancing productivity with day to day life and the changing market. Great previews for a couple of her books at the end too!
